They over billed me $93,000.00 – BTR, Noosa. The initial statement had my stamp duty at $122,000.00 I crap myself. I thought I had made a monumental blunder as my search said approx. $30,000.00. mistake and the duty payable was actually $29,00.00. They had not even checked the statement before sending it. I would NOT use them again and cannot recommend them to anyone else. What if they were $8,000.00 out and I didn`t know any better? I would have paid it! You expect these people, which your paying good money to, to at least check there work. They were $93,000.00 out. Go elsewhere.

Very unprofessional, poor time management – Tracey had 5 weeks to complete a change of name before settlement. Settlement was delayed as she left it till the last minute to do, very unprofessional.

Worst communication from an conveyencer in my experience – Specifically referencing the Bundaberg branch of this agency. We have bought and sold more than 20 properties and dealt with many different conveyencers, but this is the worst experience I have had to date. During the contract period we had a total of 3 text messages (all to my partners phone though both parties phone numbers were on the contract), a handful of templated emails (one that had 2 opposing points in the email - when I replied for clarification I had no reply). We had some feedback from the sellers agent that they would be asking for additional time for the fianance clause and I emailed our conveyencer for details (until this point I had not had any other communication with them other than email). At 5pm I recieved a call from the conveyncer (the only call I ever recieved) to say that the contract was now unconditional. She knew nothing of my email. 3 days later I recieved a response to my email stating that they hadnt heard anything about an extension. Settlement occured and my partner recieved a text message and phone call - I recieved no notification at all. Oh, and then there was an additional fee for a buyer name change on the contract which was not communicated. Comparing this company to other low priced conveyencers (we usually use KRG), I paid a lot more and got a lot less.

Never use By the rules Conveyecing – By the rules didn’t adequately represent us during what should have been a simple property purchase. Communication was so poor they left us in the lurch and almost cost us $45k. I had an engage a real lawyer to get us out of the mess well worth paying more to get real legal advice. No phone call so cut off – Emails from bytherules were unfortunately directed into my junk email folder so I have now received notification that I will no longer be assisted by this company. There was not 1 phone call to discuss this so I am not sure if there are humans or robots that work here. In bytherules defence, I hadn't paid a deposit for their service but I mean 1 x phone call.......

Friendly and Knowledgeable – I had Petra help me with my recent purchase and she was always quick to answer my calls and emails (or call me straight back if she was busy with another client).
