a panicky and awkward call about how things are harder when it’s a company and she doesn’t want to speak to me about it as I’m not the owner. I ask her how she wants to seek instructions from my folks - via email, phone call, whatever? However it was all just too hard and she refunded the deposit, keeping money she had already spent on searches.

It was very disappointing and frustrating after I had spoken with this ‘firm’ at length about nature of the sale, that she would just change her mind after the work had begun. This place might be fine if you are a straightforward owner-occupier selling a house in your own name, but any hint of complexity and it’s all just too hard. It made me worry if there are problems that arise in the normal course of my sale, that it would all get a bit too hard for Christie to manage.

Of course I immediately found a new conveyancer who has had absolutely zero issues with this sale on behalf of a company, and in obtaining instructions appropriately. Beware

At first I had no idea who to go with, I looked around at good prices online and submitted enquiries with a few places. I spoke and emailed with one solicitor/team of solicitors who dealt exclusively with conveyancing, but the man I spoke with was a bit slimy (calling me darling and sweetheart etc) and also a little patronising.

It was refreshing to then speak with Quyen from Convey Online, who was just kind, clear and respectful. Her professionalism was reassuring and everything went smoothly from there.

Totally recommend Convey Online to other young people / first home buyers out there who want a professional, kind team to help them for a reasonable price.

Poor service – They are nice people but unfortunately the service and attention to detail lack which is quite concerning in this type of work. They got the job done but I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

2 star service – The first time I dealt with Convey Online, I found the team quite helpful and responsive. For my next property purchase, which was around the Christmas period, I was chided for asking questions over the "only time of year" the business owner could take a holiday. Very friendly and knowledgeable, the service was excellent. I didn't know much about the process as this was my first time buying a property, and they were helpful in guiding me.
