go back, I wouldnt use these guys. I have been in the dark the entire process having no clue as to what is happening. I also had to repeatedly follow up on unanswered emails, and was asked by them to send through paperwork again which i had already sent. They also lost the first email I had sent them, with the contract to check over. I had to call to follow up for this also, and yes I did get a phone call back that morning, but I should have known at that point that the ball would be dropped throughout the process. Yes, i get that people get sick and can't go to work, but surely, for time sensitive matters there would be a shared inbox to check when this happens?! Had to call regarding PEXA as well as it was 2 business days before settlement and I heard diddly squat, only to be told by my bank the date was actually 14 days after I was initially told it was. The first letter had one date of settlement, but it was actually something different - which I understand the reasons for, but it really should have been communicated but it was assumed that I should know this information. I didn't really give a hoot if the date was different due to what the contract said, what I am annoyed about is the lack of communication. I don't go around buying houses and apartments everyday to know contractual obligations etc off the top of my head. That is what I am apparently paying this company for. On settlement day, one hour before settlement, I finally received an email from them to inform me of what would happen. This is after phone calls over the past two business days to see if I was required to transfer the remaining balance etc. Everytime I called to check if I had any outstanding actions, the person was always busy or on another call. I also am not sure if this is a normal thing, but I had spoken to at least 4 different people over the phone over the course of settlement. If its normal, I wouldnt have a clue as there have been no updates as to the progress. I really do not recommend these guys based on extremely poor communication and management. I was not happy at all at the lack of updates and even the attitude some of the solicitors had on the phone with me. I know you're busy but I wouldnt have to annoy you so much if you had the courtesy to send an email or update or timeline of events. POST SETTLEMENT: building managers and body corp had not been notified of the transfer of ownership. As a result, there is rental money owed to me sitting in limbo somewhere from the previous owner. The property manager even commented they usually hear from solicitors before and after settlement as it is part of the process so they are able to with hold funds and transfer ownership. How many phone calls does one have to make to follow up? I have called and emailed repeatedly, only for Amelie to be "on the other line" and to never return my calls. Honestly, these people have been a nightmare to work with. Purchasing a property is in general a big life decision for most people and is not taken lightly - these people are a joke.Conveyancing.com.au 🏆 2024

Worst communication from an conveyencer in my experienceSpecifically referencing the Bundaberg branch of this agency. We have bought and sold more than 20 properties and dealt with many different conveyencers, but this is the worst experience I have had to date. No contact or ackn... Read moreowledgement of the contract for the first week (the contract was signed 2 weeks after xmas and I suspect that they were still on leave). Terrible communication. During the contract period we had a total of 3 text messages (all to my partners phone though both parties phone numbers were on the contract), a handful of templated emails (one that had 2 opposing points in the email - when I replied for clarification I had no reply). We had some feedback from the sellers agent that they would be asking for additional time for the fianance clause and I emailed our conveyencer for details (until this point I had not had any other communication with them other than email). At 5pm I recieved a call from the conveyncer (the only call I ever recieved) to say that the contract was now unconditional. She knew nothing of my email. 3 days later I recieved a response to my email stating that they hadnt heard anything about an extension. Settlement occured and my partner recieved a text message and phone call - I recieved no notification at all. Oh, and then there was an additional fee for a buyer name change on the contract which was not communicated. Comparing this company to other low priced conveyencers (we usually use KRG), I paid a lot more and got a lot less.

a Chinese speaker as assistant Sandra (she is one of the most patient and friendly person, and took a lot of my grumpiness when I had hard time with the process) without my request which it becomes a lifesaver late on and get me hooked with the service. Sandra as assistant was super helpful and patient. Matthrew- the lawyer was also super patient as well, reply late email after 5.30pm and change my sales contract again and again up to 6 times and still on going , they never complained, I even felt sorry and embarrassed! Matthrew also conscious with the contract and details. The firm is great , I will have them again and again . Thanks for your customer services, especially after I had a horrible customer services from one of the conveancnying firm in Canberra when I need a sales contract, that firm bullying and threatening me and issue huge double bill for almost nothing, Crazy greedy, bullying, threatening and violent customer service. I am even scared to put a review or mention their name here. These are like heaven and hell. So opposite. Thank you again to Sandra, Matthew and river City conveancnying!Lockett McCullough Lawyers

Poor communication and out of his depth - led to costly delay in settlementWorked with Vincent. Never met him, but seemed to be doing an ok job at the start, not especially communicative or instructive but got all the basics done on time.
On the afternoon before settlement Vincent called me to tel... Read more
l me that my bank did not have authority to draw the shortfall amount for our property purchase from our account. This contradicted advice we had received previously from our broker and directly from the bank. Unfortunately the call came so late in the day I was unable to confirm with anyone else and Vincent advised me there was 'no other way' to attempt to complete settlement on time but to request a same day transfer from the bank. The whole thing was so stressful and confusing. Unfortunately the next day when I was finally able to speak with my broker she confirmed that the bank DID have authority to draw the funds (just needed the information updated on the form) and there was no need to delay settlement. In fact the transfer that Vincent had advised me to make meant the funds were not available on the settlement date and so we had to delay by three days (long weekend) which cost us over $1k. Afterwards we found out not only did Vincent not have any correspondence from the bank saying they did not have authority (he had taken the blank section of the form to mean this, which was wrong), but he had received an email from the bank early on the day of settlement requesting the information for the account which he never informed us of. If we had this information at this time we probably could have asked the bank to cancel the transfer and everything would have been ok. The whole thing was really stressful and unhelpful and expensive - no idea why we paid him $880 to make the whole thing harder for us. We contacted Vincent after everything was over to request the amount of fee back at least - still not as much as the whole thing had cost us, but he refused to take responsibility. Please avoid this company at all costs.OnLine Conveyancing Centre
