items into the home as we had fresh paint we did not want marked. A couple of our smaller packing boxes, clearly marked “ fragile “ and “ this way up “ were put into our garage upside down and they had evidence of being dropped or squished between other boxes. The corners were damaged and the contents broken. We have used Caloundra Removals in the past, and if we ever chose to move again, we would use them again - but they’d need to be more careful. I have a mark on my architrave/door frame where my brand new bedroom furniture’ collided ‘ because the china shop bulls just weren’t listening to my husband. Paperwork was signed to this effect.

An excellent experience. Very professional and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Highly recommend. Our furniture was in storage for three weeks at very little expense.

What a fiasco – The movement of my household belongings from Caboolture to country Victoria was a disaster. I was led to believe that the container was for my use but it arrived with someone else's belongings loaded in the front. was sent for which resulted in temper and more swearing with an item having to be left behind. Delivery from Melbourne to my new home resulted in 1 carton lost and Artwork and tools misplaced (later recovered). Recovered items transported on floor at the back of truck with glass smashed. Missing carton never found. A heavy loss despite insurance.

Unfortunately lost my possessions – I hired this company for an interstate move from QLD to Vic. The QLD branch were very helpful and flexible. The quote was affordable and they were flexible with there being more items than the initially projected quote. move was less smooth. The movers showed up late on the day they were meant to delivery my possessions, and as such I was without my furniture and things for another 5 days. Also, a box of my possessions which was labelled with my name and phone number has been lost and not returned. The employee to whom I spoke was very helpful and did his best to relocate the box, but ultimately it was still lost.

So while I think I would recommend for a QLD only move, I cannot recommend this service for an interstate move, in spite of the competitive quote.

Caloundra Removals work slow and overcharge – 3 bedroom holiday home with approx 5 ctns, took 2 hours to load drive 2.5 km up the same road, and took 4.5 hours to unload, charged 1/2 hour total travel time. 3pm no time to do other moves or work. One guy in particular was lazy and I figured if they asked for the beer they would not rip me off and work slow. To compare new house is 5 bed + office very big and previous owners moved 2 weeks earlier also within a few km, they gave them a small truck they did 3 loads and total time was 7 3/4 hours. Will never choose them again. 1 king bed suite & mattress, 1 queen bed suite & mattress, 1 queen mattress, 2 single beds and mattresses, small leather lounge, two fridges, washer/dryer, 10 seater outdoor setting, Gorilla ornament, office chair & Printer, 2 outdoor pool chairs. Even paid my own guy to remove the TV's 2 big, 1 small, and speakers. Plus the 3 large pots to go to my Auntie round the corner. That was it ridiculous time. I have worked in logistics - I complained to the sales manager [name removed] and he assured me he would look into it and get back to me. He said he was upset that they asked me to buy beer to move the plants around the corner given I was paying an hourly rate. Nothing almost a month tomorrow. Very bad, poor follow-up

The whole process was very easy, from the online form to speaking with the staff, pick up and delivery everything went very smoothly. It was a big move for my elderly parents from Victoria to Queensland and Caloundra removal did a fantastic job. Thanks to all the staff.

I’ve had some very negative experiences with removalists in the past from theft to breakages and even drug affected workers. It’s sad state of affairs when your idea of a successful move is no theft or breakages but Caloundra Removals may have broken this conception I had as I would have no hesitation on recommending them.

Caloundra Removals stored our belongings for over 2 years and relocated the container from the Sunshine Coast to Cairns. Excellent service by Caloundra Removals & Storage. The whole process went smoothly and the workers took great care when packing and unpacking our boxes. It was handy to have them store our boxes in a container over the weekend while we waited for settlement on the Monday. Took the stress away from moving out and moving in on the same day.
