Customer service has been the main issue here. Multiple attempts to correct a mistake made by the camera warehouse have seen me wait more than 8 weeks for my $500 order. No replies to my emails until I left a poor review on their website. It's a shame because I saw only positive things, mostly online. Still trying to rectify 9 weeks later. Show details

Saved from ZERO by an Attentive Online Chat Person (PRAISE INDEED TO ONE PERSON) – Upgraded to 3. They rallied well once the item was with them. The rest still applies though. funds not transferred. It was accepted this was slow on their side (paraphrasing). Two days later, we repeat, and I get an invoice saying the funds are there.
Long and short this has made having a tooth extracted look like a fun day out.
Now another missed Email due date confirming an ETA or NOT, something/anything.
I assume it's still en route from the supplier. Quite what that really means I have no clue, but it was apparently due there yesterday. I guess the very latest yesterday makes this latest advice only one day late and it's the weekend.
I like to write good reviews as I look for the good side and I accept things happen. However, it's also how you resolve things that happen and this is ongoing awful.
I have ordered a few things, camera-related, in the recent past and thought why not give this place a go? A physical shop also on offer and reasonable reviews.
However, EVERYONE ELSE (EVERY other RETAILER) has performed excellently and this has been a shambles. I wonder if I would have ever heard anything, as in 12th of never, had I not spent time and more time in chat.
A bit more to it as I clicked on an offer before checkout. Needless to say not in stock and long and short seemed so unlikely ever to be we just cancelled that. Enetually we got the refund...Eventually....another sad tale of slow...That pales versus the rest of this.....
Why would I EVER order anything from this place again? Maybe the physical shop is excellent? I can only go by my ongoing experience with their online store. Any small saving versus elsewhere (or not) on the price is not worth it. My guess is it's due late November and earlier is a bonus?? Why do I have to guess??

recyclable and easy to open. The mount comes with three different collar sets to suit various diameter handlebars and an allen key to make fitting easy. You can also replace the tightening lug with a thumbscrew (provided) if you want to be able to change the position of the mount without resorting to the allen key. For me, this makes the mount too easy to steal from my apartment's bike shed, so I'll find the right position and leave it firmly attached. The Everyday Case snaps on and off the Mount very easily, guided on by the strong magnets and held securely in place until at least one of the release catches is pressed. The Mount is made of metal and feels very solid I would have no fear of my phone dropping off accidentally. It also comes with an optional accessory mount which could accept a Go-Pro or headlight. This may be an expensive piece of kit but it certainly feels like the Rolls Royce of phone mounts and, because of its offset design, the phone can sit right in the middle and in front of the handlebars.

Follow-up · It arrived in a smallish cardboard box, bubblewrap taped around the lens, well and securely protected from damage. the lens came with the cap on each end. Other than the notifications confirming the purchase and shipping, I had no call for customer service because it all went smoothly, quickly and I'm super happy

I subsequently purchased the lens and pain on line as required. The lens was placed into Australia Post parcels delivery that night and was delivered some 5 days later to my address in Queensland.
Since receiving the lens I have given it a good workout photographing surfers which is what I mainly do and then put the photos on Facebook for them and they get the pics free. The surfers love it and love the clearer phoptots from the new lens.
I really appreciate the efforts that Andrew at Camera Warehouse went to in order to assist me. Hard to get service that good in this day and age or so it seems. Thanks guys/

whatsoever for 2 weeks and I get a notification from Auspost that the items are on the way and it will take another 2 weeks to deliver.
I understand the delay of sending the parcel due to Covid-19 situation, however no communication to the client who has given is a business is appalling. On the other hand CameraPro sent me immediate confirmation and sent me regular updates and even sent me the parcel via speed post when their dispatch was delayed due to unavailability of stock.
I think I got (the service) for what I paid for. The chances of me buying again from Camera Warehouse is slim.

there online. I knew well in advance this was going to be the case but I think what would have made the experience better would be to keep me informed "automatically". Here's a few key points for my feedback. In summary, communication and purchase process could be improved.
- It seems like Camera Warehouse while they operate online, still runs the business as a physical store. That is, I placed my order but a real person still needs to process this order. This can be seen from the payment verification stage and the fact I needed to speak to someone to sort out my "fujifilm gift card". I wonder if I had not reached out to the sales team, would I have even received my "gift card".
- Stock availability should be transparent on the website. Everything you see online, you seem to be able to place an order but the thing is, if they don't have it in stock then you are basically just waiting for stock to arrive. If the site had clearly said "arriving in 1 week" then as a consumer I would have made my purchase elsewhere or maybe even wait if the timing is suitable maybe because I will be away.
- Purchase process should be simplified. If I am going to receive a cash rebate (seen from fujifilm gift card) then just make it a step in the shopping cart where I can deduct the money straight from my lens purchase and ship everything together. I actually had wished my camera shipped together with my lens because I had a lens-less camera for a week which was quite a torture. Understood that most people will prefer to have their items ship upon availability but this could be given a simple option to check the box to opt to ship everything together. As a business you would have saved on shipping as well.
- Customer retention, well there's pretty much none. Could have included something in the package for me to remember your store like a free lens cloth or even just a business card with a small 5% discount on my next purchase. Nope it was just my item, a tax invoice and then a few days later a rude email asking me to post a review for you online. Will I buy things from you again, maybe. But it definitely wouldn't be because of an amazing purchase experience.

Do not use this shop. They took a month to tell me that the camera that I ordered was actually not available. They then tried to sell me a more expensive version. I had tried to call them multiple times and never got through to anyone. Clearly they do not man their phones. I understand mistakes happen, however taking a month to tell me they had no stock was pretty useless. Go elsewhere.

took to their smart chat, poor English, and sent another email to cancel the outstanding order. It took twelve weeks to get nothing and only a partial refund as they also refuse to communicate with me. They have zero customer service skills, I really don't think they know what that is. To retain funds for goods not delivered is a breach of contract and potentially misleading or using deceptive conduct, under Australian Consumer Law. This matter will be referred to the Dept of Fair Trading to investigate further.

Website indicated they had the cameras in stock (& good price). Email comes after payment saying NOT in stock. Took 3 WEEKS to ship the product. When I received the cameras, one camera was fully FAULTY.
10 day wait to find out not stocked. No communication – Ordered a Garmin Mini 2. Great Price. Unfortunately I had to email them 10 days later to ask for an update. They replied saying sorry it isn't stocked any more. I stated that this was totally unacceptable and they would have known that immediately and should have informed me. Offered a substitute with a small discount but I needed the Dash Cam ASAP. Very disappointed!

Good to deal with as very accommodating on an exchange – Very accommodating after i changed my mind and sent back my first set of binoculars as they were judged too heavy by my partner. Switched to a lighter model about the same price - they sent a different model but exchanged them promptly at no cost. A bit of toing and froing but all good.
