Extremely poor quality products. I have been buying Camper shoes for over 15 years and the quality is getting worse each time. The last (€150) pair have only lasted 6 months before falling apart. The pair before that lasted 8 months. However I… Read more
purchased $50 shoes from Payless shoes 1 year ago and they are still going strong. Camper have advised me that their products are now manufactured in Vietnam and China and since making this move, the quality has dramatically decreased; yet the cost hasn't?
I emailed Camper and they basically said Thank you for your loyalty for the past 15 years and all the best. I'm shocked with their customer service levels just as much as the product quality!
Follow-up · Camper contacted me and asked for my email address. I then received an email saying 'our position has not changed and we respectfully ask you to consider the matter closed'. Even though they were they ones who asked me to provide my email address. Poor customer service and poor quality products and manafacturing. My shoes purchased from Kmart last longer.
Warning - Do not buy from Camper if you want to deal with terrible customer service as they will most likely cancel your order - especially if you are purchasing while sales are on. Made an initial purchase and had received no communication nor update as to shipment. When I enquired, they cancelled my order stating that they had no stock, even… Read more
though they had ample stock when I ordered. I requested to change colour or even go a size up which they did have in stock (and still do). Customer service has not responded to my last 2 replies since initial query and request for escalation. I would like to remind Camper that under Australian Consumer Law (ACL), it is illegal for a business to accept payment for goods or services with no intention of supplying them, or to mislead consumers regarding the availability of products. This, along with bait advertising—promoting items at a low price to attract customers with no intention of actually selling them at that price— may be considered a false or misleading representation.
PROS • Much better suited to wider feet than the vast majority of sneaker and casual brands • Look good - some funky and unique designs as well as classic looks • Look well-designed and made • Fairly comfortable • Light weight • Packaging and box are secure and nicely designed CONS • Postage can be slow • Not as supportive as other… Read more
sneakers and casual shoes • Pretty expensive when not on special
OTHER • Not sure how the materials will stand up to extended use. They feel a bit less solid than other shoe brands • They're not that well-cushioned. Suggest using arch supports and insoles
OVERALL I bought three different pairs. All are better for my wide feet than the vast majority of other shoe brands. They all look as good and well-made in real life as they do in the website photos. However the fact that they're so light and the materials feel thinner makes me wonder how durable they are. Right now I'm really happy with them and would buy other pairs in future - especially if they're on sale.

One year in and still in solid condition. Working on my feet 5 days a week 8 hours a day and these shoes have saved my poor legs and feet and still these Camper Peu shoes are in great condition. They are well made and very comfortable I can now say I recommend them 100%. Not aesthetically pleasing to me but great for comfort and long lasting considering the price. Well worth it. Show details
Item never arrived, received threats instead – i made an order over a month ago, the order was split into two deliveries. i received the first half after about 12 days, i have not received the second half of my order after nearly 3 weeks of waiting, i opened a dispute on paypal, they had 11 days to come up with an explanation but radio silence, the case was closed in my favour. now today i see… Read more
they have sent an email threatening me out of my money from their “legal department” and that i should remove the chargeback. they should have been up to date with the paypal cases cause this is laughable. at the end of the day, paypal warranted the refund with all the information i provided. it was an embarrassing attempt on their part to try and change this outcome. its a shame as i was considering ordering from them again since i did like the shoes however this has left a bad and bitter taste in my mouth and dont care to deal with camper again.
Looks great but really uncomfortable shoes – I purchased a pair of green Camaleon shoes online after a friend recommended the brand. While they look great, they are really uncomfortable to wear and haven't broken in despite wearing them several times over the last couple months. If you don't plan on walking in them and just wearing them, probably ok. For those in Australia thinking that… Read more
making a trip to the stores may be useful to understand if these shoes are right for them, I would also suggest to not bother. They have very limited styles and sizing available and the sizing between products is not standard.
Edit: After using shoe stretchers for a couple weeks, the canvas loosened up enough that the shoes have ended up being comfortable enough to wear. I still think they are not particularly comfortable, but enough so that can walk with them.

Great experience with Camper shoes – Sorry to read so many bad reviews about Camper. Replacing the Camper Runner that I purchased in 2019 as cushioning has gone. Many kms of walking and I’m over 100kgs. I’ve had my Peu Pista GORE-TEX since 2021 and they still seem to have plenty of life left in them. About to replace the Runner with another Peu Pista in a different colour. Show details

I'm a happy customer. I've bought Camper footwear for years, find them almost always very comfortable (I walk a lot). More recently Ive been buying online, although I much prefer to try in a shop to check the fit & style, but they don't seem to have the range or the sizes. My recent experience was positive - bought online in their sale, took a… Read more
couple of weeks to arrive. The colour and fit weren't for me. Having bought online I had to return online too, which I thought would be a pain as there's a camper store near my work. But it was ok - in less than 2 weeks I've received the refund. The whole process took about 4-6 weeks, which is quite crazy - much better to shop in a store - but overall ok.
I love Camper shoes- – I discovered Camper shoes about 10 years ago. They quickly became my favourite shoes. Their designs are unique. They are very comfortable. And they last a long time. In fact, I am still wearing Camper shoes that I bought many years ago. I love Camper. Show details
I was really happy with my purchases – I purchased the Atonik and the Match shoes online at 40% off. I bought Camper shoes in Spain previously and they lasted really well. I then read the terrible reviews on here and got worried, but despite being split into two orders they turned up in 8 and 11 days. I love both the shoes, they are true to size and adjustable in three places for a perfect fit. Excellent quality and did not need wearing in. Show details

First time I have ever shopped a Camper sale …well tried to and it will be my last. Website crashed totally could not sign in could not check out. Very disappointing experience indeed. Went back the next day..more fool me and actually was able to order this time..I wish I had not bothered. The item did not show up on my orders…so I queried an… Read more
email from Camper confirmed that the order had been received…(btw is still not showing up in my order history). The item was “sent” quite quickly…good right? Well here we are 5 days later and the item has not actually been sent at all. I sent an enquiry to camper…AI bot response that the item which by the way I ordered on the Australia site…had been picked up by the courier on the date of purchase by APG, Aus Posts international arm…from somewhere else in the world ???? When I queried why no tracking after 5 days…the courier insists that it has not been picked up. Camper insist that the tracking will not kick in until the item reaches Australia ( who knew it wasn’t actually coming from Australia) which is total rubbish as tracking kicks in…as soon as there is activity against the tracking number. I am not anticipating receiving the item at all..nor do I actually think the bot run Camper will help so I will give it another few days and then go to PayPal for a refund…Luckily I have all of the documentation that clearly illustrates Camper’ s totally inadequate or non existent customer service. By the way..as the item was not located in Australia which I did not realise…the bank also slugs for international exchange fees….Never ever again…did I already say that !!!
Worst customer service ever – This brand by far has the worst customer service, no phone number to call, slowest replying service, I bought a shoe from them before christmas, took long enough to deliver, and guess what! They delivered a wrong item! Different model and color, it took them so long to reply to my email and now they are asking to first return the wrong shoe, when… Read more
we receive it, we will ship the correct one, this is not my fault, what kind of costumer service is this! This is not service, this is not support, i have to go through it all, print the label, take it to UPS and possibly charge for shipping to Vancouver! What the actual *^%#! Worst experience of my life, I'll never and ever purchase anything from this brand and let everyone knows that they can't care any less of their customers, they're just all about our money and time and energy for their own profit
Disastrous quality shoes and ridiculous customer service – Bought a pair of Pix leather boots in store. After 2 weeks they completely lost their shape and looked terrible. I contacted camper online but after no response I took the shoes back to the Chadstone store. They took the boots and said they would get back to me in a few days. Its now been 3 weeks and I still don't know what's happening. They never… Read more
pick up their phone and don't respond to emails. I found out through another store that the Chadstone store doesn't have a manager. The poor quality of the boots was one thing, but the non-existent customer service is ridiculous. Its like they know how crap their product is and don't want to face the truth. I will be getting a full refund whether they like it or not and will never be shopping at Camper ever again. I recommend to stay away unless you like poor quality and annoying customer service.

Probably the worst customer service experience I have experienced in my life! – Probably the worst customer service experience I have experienced in my life! It's now 22 days after making the fatal decision to purchase a pair of Camper shoes online and still nothing to show, no shoes and no refund. Camper is still holding my money. Day1 - Made the purchase and received confirmation from Camper. Great job camper , it seems… Read more
at least your bot is working!!
Day9 - After jumping back online to check the status of my order I notice, I see it's still listing as "processing". Curious as to why, I send a brief note requesting an update and receive a response explaining about "logistical issues" and would I like to cancel my order? - Reponse provided by the Camper Bot, however if I would like to speak to a human I should send a further reply. So i oblige.
Day10 - "Hi Camper, before I make a decision to cancel my order, can you tell me how long the delay would be?" Camper responds (presumably humans this time) " We apologise for the day, your orders will be processed in 3 days"....hmmm sounds familiar.
Day13 - "Hi Camper, just following up again, still no movement on my order??" No response from Camper.
Day16 - Still no response , so i send a follow up email. Camper responds (I think I prefer dealing with the bot). "Sorry, we don't have an estimated delivery date or shipping date would you like to cancel?"
YES PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE!
Camper responds "Thankyou, we will process your refund within 3 days" (ohhhh boy here we go again).
Day20 - Still no refund so yet another follow up from me to Camper. " My refund please!?"
Camper responds " Dear Emma , your refund will be processed between 2-3 days". I respond "Who is Emma?"
So it's now day 22, and I feel like i'm in a circular argument with either humans or a bot , who think my name has changed to Emma. In the meantime, the shoes I first ordered are still being advertised for sale on the camper website - pretty sure advertising products that arent available is not legal.
What a complete waste of time this experience has been.
Can't get my shoes shipped – Terrible customer service! I ordered 2 pairs online because I have loved my Camper shoes from Spain (worn out from use!) and I know my size. A week later and still not shipped...a bot is answering my emails and then I was asked for an evaluation of service! I asked again why my shoes aren't shipped and have been told not for another 3 days...but no reason for the delay. How can this be in 2024? Show details
Thick socks needed with this faulty design – Have a pair of Path shoes - love them. Ordered a pair of Peu Touring, on-line, very similiar, stretch fabric, I was so happy with their look and fit. Then I wore them out, walked a distance. The stitching, that connects the sole to the top section, overlaps in a 10cm section, front side section. Rubs like a serrated knife is imbedded. shoes to my closest store to ask whether they were faulty, which was my hope, but they felt inside another pair and said no that's how they are made. They thought they would not be accepted as faulty. "I should use tape, inside the shoe, to cover this section " Even though they plead ignorance to the fault, I felt this was an answer used before. A terrible weakness in the production.
Sales reps are dishonest – Let’s start with how much I love these shoes. I bought my first pair over 10 years ago in Montreal and the sales rep said the good thing about these shoes is once you know your size you can always order on line. 10 years later I did just that. In fact I bought 2 pairs. When I decided to start wearing them in the fall I realized they were too… Read more
tight. I called asking for an exchange in size and I was told NO, that I missed the 3 month window. While I understand I went over the date, it’s not like the shoe is discontinued. I just want to be able to wear the shoe. I’ve spoken to cs 3 times and they always say no. I’m out over 500 dollars and all I want to do is exchange the shoe. I trusted the sales agent and now I’m penalized. I’m not moving forward and in the process of contacting directors and ceo directly in Spain.
Don’t buy! – Buy elsewhere! Camper used to make excellent shoes but the quality has gone down to garbage. I recently replaced a pair of winter boots and first wear out they leaked. The new design also sucks and the soles are slippery plastic. When I called customer service they said “too bad for you” for a pair of boots that cost over $200. I’d have done better buying a pair of slippers from the dollar store. Show details
Genuine Camper shoes are not reliable for long term – I purchased all my Camper shoes in France, from a Camper store, about twenty years ago. Five pairs. About seven years after I originately purchased the shoes, I started to notice that the soles deteriorated inside of the box itself by crumbling into little pieces and splitting in half. The same thing also happend while I was walking with it. The… Read more
crumbling would happen even faster with the Texas heat; pieces of the rubber would be left behing on the street while walking. Dr Scholl's shoes had also the same issues with the soles, when I purchased them in France thirty years ago. I don't know if they still have the same issues today. After some research, I learnt that rubber is a weak material and deteriorates on its own. It is not reliable. Rubber was used to create erasers in the 18th century and then companies switched to synthetic because the erasers were crumbling into pieces. Sadly, the Camper company does not take any responsibility in the problem. Customer service was of no help at all. If it is under their warranty, I don't know if they will take responsibility or not.
Camper Shoes Soles Unstuck – 2 weeks after purchasing Camper boots the Michelin tread has completely come unstuck. Given responses above, don't like my chances and feel the brand has failed on its QC. Time I don't have seeking repair. Show details

Poor Quality on Camper Peu Touring – Hi, I bought a pair of Camper Peu Touring, and have experienced quality issues with the soles of these only 3-month old shoes - per the pictures, the soles are cracking throughout, and soles heels is deteriorating substantially. It is such a disappointing experience, and wanting to let others know of my experience. I want to spread the word, and that Camper is not willing to make this situation right, for a loyal customer of theirs.
Non existent customer service – I ordered a pair of shoes from camper nearly a year ago and after a month the stitching started coming undone. I sent them back nearly 8 months ago as advised by camper and have received nothing back, no… Read more
refund, no follow up email, nothing! I have sent them numerous emails and when trying to call they never answer, I've tried calling so many times and waited for an hour without anyone answering. At this stage I would prefer to have the faulty shoes back rather than nothing. I have bought many pairs of shoes from camper and the last ones were the first ones that I've had an issue with. I was expecting so much more from their customer service especially for the price, the shoes aren't cheap and i won't buy again. I feel like I've been robbed. If you're reading this camper, either respond to my emails, send me a refund, send me back my faulty shoes or answer the phone!

HORRENDOUS customer service – What a HORRENDOUS company - extremely poor customer service. I bought a pair of shoes that was a bit too big and wished to get an exchange (not even a return!) but was outright refused?! The delivery was late and I so had to leave interstate. But when I came back, I realized that it was just over the return period 30 days FROM DAY OF PURCHASE… Read more
(note this is not even from the day the item was received.) As the shoes were brand new and never worn, I tried taking it into the store for an exchange but was asked to email them instead. However, despite many weeks of emailing back and forth in an attempt to even just a store voucher so I can get the same pair of shoes but in a different size, I was just told "No." There was no willingness to engage or to help figure out a reasonable solution. So now I have a useless pair of shoes that I can't wear. What an absolutely waste of time and money. Never buying from here again - stay away!
Hard and uncomfortable soles - impossible to wear – I bought a pair of Gore-tex nubuck sneakers online from Camper. They look great and hold out the water well, but they are terribly uncomfortable to wear. The soles of the heels are too hard. It is painful walking in them. I have not experienced this with Camper shoes (or any shoes, for that matter) before. I have replaced the insoles with… Read more
gel-heeled soles, which has somewhat softened the walk, but this has raised my feet in the shoes, causing the lace-up area to splay. This looks unsightly. Camper has responded for me to send photos of the problem area, which is rather pointless given that photos can’t show the excessive hardness of the heels.
Wrong sizing information on website. Refused to exchange or refund – I ordered shoes in my size based on the size guide on their website. They were the wrong size. None of their phone lines are staffed at all. They are never answered. They advised by email I could post the shoes back at my own expense (despite it being their error) or take them to a store. What my new season shoes are half off. I just bought them as new sea season – I was shocked to see my new shoes , I bought a few weeks before. Now on mid season sale. Wtf! I was on the page because I was going to buy 2 more pairs. But I didn't. And I won't. So I wish I saw these reviews before I bought the first pair. I don't want to wear them now. now the make me sick to look at them. I am very careful about who I purchase from. I let my guard down this time as a friend suggested I use this company. Being a small family ran business. I should have done my research. I learned a lesson.
I got a faulty shoes – I got to send them back, pay the courier. After a month I haven’t got any feedback from them and I don’t have my money back. I lost my money in other words The worst customer service. They have lost a loyal customer. I don’t recommend to buy camper shoes. Show details
Bought expensive shoes but not shipped for months – Bought expensive shoes, and DHL called me saying that my shoes were not shipped by Camper. Support is responding a bot, and still no shoes, but they got my money. Now I am writing the reviews. Update: Refunded after 3 months.
Look elsewhere – Fourth pair of Camper Peu are honestly the worst pair of shoes I've ever bought. The constant squeak of the soles is only part of the problem. The bigger issue is their disdain for the customer, coupled with an obvious decline in quality. I will avoid, and you should too. Show details
Terrible quality and customer service, shoes fell apart at 2 months and they make it very difficult to get a refund – Shoes stated to fray and fall apart at two months old Sent the images to camper, they agree they are faulty however they want you to post the shoes back at your cost (they will reimburse after 6weeks) and then once they receive them they will take 7 days to refund you. Terrible quality and Customer service DO NOT BUY
Not the quality for the price – This is the third pair of Camper boots that have issues. The soles split & fall apart leaving the upper leathers in tact. Poor use of quality materials for the price. Might add that the boots have only been worn occasionally & not been hammered. Camper do your research & use a durable product for your shoes. Happy to pay if the product lasts a few seasons. Have bought stylish but cheaper brands that keep on keeping on so do lift your game Camper. Show details
