Have had 2 camcec caravan covers rip and have been waiting almost a Month for a review to see if I can get a replacement. No response when asked why it is taking so long…. Poor quality and poor service
Follow-up · The cover lasted less than a year… 14-16ft cover The rips where just caused by the weather
Very disappointed. Wanting to purchase items from the "Sales" section of the site. When selecting the items to go to the cart, it shows a different price. When bringing this to the attention of the store they refused to honour advertised price,… Read more
quoting that it was a mistake that is being rectified. Not honouring the advertised price is against Australian Consumer Law and the ACCC will be involved. I also have screenshots of the advertised prices. Shame this sort of "non" customer service is happening in Australia.
Follow-up · Thanks everyone for your questions. Rhe advertised price was NOT honoured, it was a case of too bad. The price was an error and was rectified after I brought it to their attention. No alternative was offered. Very dissapointed.

I purchased an RV Seaflo water pump. It was sent via Aramax and I received notification from Aramax that it had been delivered. The item was not delivered, the photo they took which was supposed to be evidence of delivery was of a SANDSTONE house - we live in a BLUESTONE house. I contacted Aramax re the lost item. appalling. Subsequently, I am checking with sellers that they DO NOT USE Aramax before making a purchase. The email from Campsmart stated to reply to the email to give feedback but their email is a NO REPLY email. I am totally disgusted with both Campsmart and Aramax and advise to avoid both. $150 down the drain! Their admin@ email does not seem to be a legitimate email address as it fails to send using gmail, google and cloud. All is pointing to me having been scammed. Buyer Beware please!!!!!!!!

Buyer beware: go elsewhere – I ordered an end wall privacy screen for my Fiamma awning, based on available website information. When I tried using the screen a couple of weeks later, it immediately became apparent that the spline was too thin for the track. When I contacted Campsmart I told them it was confusing ordering the item because of so many choices but it was marked… Read more
as suitable for Fiamma. Instead of acting with decency, I was told the item couldn't be returned for change of mind reasons because it was longer than 30 days since the invoice date (it was about 45). However this was not a change of mind, the item was not fit for purpose and this was only discovered on first use. The product delivered seemed to be good quality, but simply didn't fit. I was willing to purchase an item that would fit from Campsmart, I would have happily accepted a swap at my own postage cost. I was never given such an opportunity, just a flat no and referrals to business policies that do not apply in Australia, as much as companies like this would like us to believe. I reminded Campsmart about consumer laws, but they wouldn't budge and even said their system wouldn't allow a return. Deliberately inflexible computer systems are no excuse to breach consumer law. I've reported them with all evidence to the ACCC for misleading conduct. I'll also be contacting NSW Fair Trading, who need to be aware of these misleading business practices.
In this market, why would a so called family run business act with such abhorrent behaviour? Campsmart will respond to this review as they have with others, will fall back on "our policy states" and how they follow ACCC guidelines, which they don't. They seem to be able to sleep at night by calling everything a change of mind rather than accept that some items are not fit for purpose. Campsmart could have done the right thing but they chose not too, completely spoiling an otherwise reasonable sales experience. I certainly won't ever buy from them again and neither should anyone else who values the most basic law abiding service that doesn't try and pull the wool over customers eyes. Don't be fooled.
Buyer beware: go elsewhere.
Mislead me – Item bought - Silicone Collapsible Kettle - 1.2L Before purchasing I asked: "Is the silicone food grade safe? Is the diameter of the stainless base 23cm, or does the 23 include the handle?" They replied: "Thanks for reaching out. Made from food-grade silicone & nylon stainless steel base 23cm." I received the product and the stainless steel base… Read more

They had a sale on the Maxxair Maxxfan Deluxe (with the smoked cover), selling for $470. The sale ended at midnight 8 August, but apparently what they really meant was that it ended at midnight 7 August. I guess midnights are a confusing time, clock-wise. Anyway, at the time I thought I had a bit more time to think about the deal before… Read more
committing. Then found out when I tried to purchase the fan that the cost shot up by $107 when it ticked over 1 minute past midnight. So I fired off an email to the sales team, thinking they'd be happy to give me the deal anyway because who doesn't want a happy customer and besides the end date for the sales was confusing? Not [Name Removed] from sales apparently. Her reply said they couldn't do the sales price because the sales was over, but that if I subscribed to their mailing list, I'd be notified of monthly discount codes and specials. Bit lame, I thought, maybe it'd be easier if I call them. So I did, and spoke to [Name Removed], who became a bit agitated, telling me they could offer me 5% off but that she couldn't match the sales price. So I asked, not unreasonably I thought, to speak to the manager, thinking perhaps poor [Name Removed] didn't have the authority to match the sales price. However, I was told the manager ([Name Removed]) was busy but that if I sent [Name Removed] an email, she would pass it on to [Name Removed]. I asked again to speak to the manager regardless and poor [Name Removed] became even more agitated, talking very loudly on the phone over me and again repeating that she couldn't match the sales prices but could give me 5% discount (which didn't come close to matching the sales price). Anyway, I don't know what [Name Removed] was busy with, but I did send an email, and as I forecasted, haven't received a reply. My best guess is [Name Removed] trashed the email moment in popped into her inbox or otherwise [Name Removed] just couldn't be bothered. Kind of a shame as I'm currently fitting out a van into a camper, I'm always buying more supplies, like van liner and ecofleece, and there are more things I need to get. Not from Campsmart, I guess.

Poor Customer Service – I ordered a Premium Box Awning Sunscreen for a motorhome from Campsmart on-line on 25 October 2025. It was delivered reasonably quickly on 30 October. As it is an item that would only be used on a tour I left it unopened in the motor home until I undertook my next trip on 17 November. I went to try the item out and immediately realised that I… Read more
had accidentally ordered one size down from what was required, so I didn't open the package.
Naively thinking that I would be able to return the item at my cost, pay the small difference and purchase the right sized awning sunscreen, I did not immediately contact the company until after my return home on 26 November. I was also interested in buying some more expensive equipment for the motorhome and contacted Campsmart, not seeking a refund, but rather an exchange of the item already purchased.
I was prepared to pay their restocking fee (in this case 20%) but I was met with a blank refusal to consider my request as it "was against company policy" to exchange beyond their 30 day change of mind returns, which starts on the date of the order not the delivery date. Reading the fine print the company also requires a purchaser to jump through the hoops of prior approval, photos, etc under their terms and conditions that go to several pages. The company's eventual email response to me was that I should sell the item privately.
So it's a case of buyer beware if this is how Campsmart deals with a simple exchange - I would hate to have to argue the situation after receiving a faulty item. My experience is not to risk dealing with a company that has scant understanding or practices good customer service.
Thank you for sharing your concerns Ross. As we replied… Read more

Anti Flap Kit – This is for anyone considering purchasing the Anti Flap Kit. Read below, this product is absolute garbage - don’t waste your money. occasion I stop and do short term work. I am not permanently in one place as you keep trying to suggest.
I have never used this product for longer than 2 weeks at any one time.
Product Condition:
* Considerable UV fading of the paintwork indicates continuous use beyond standard recreational holiday usage
When I travel from place to place every few days, possibly a week and set up again this is deemed continuous use??
* Damage to the metal indicates an impact outside of the scope of warranty terms and intended usage guidelines.
If there is an impact, how does that relate to the threads stripping all the time??
* Wear to the paintwork inside the bars is consistent with long-term usage.
Wear to the paint work would suggest taking the AFK on and off multiple times, on a day to day, week to week situation.
* Spiderweb, dust and grime in the mechanisms consistent with long-term usage.
This is meant to be an external use product. Again, how does a spiderweb and dust have anything to do with the threads stripping??
Product Components: * Paint removed and screw marks are consistent with long-term regular usage. Again, this is more consistent with the product being set up, taken down multiple times.
* Cam locks on the right side (facing the van) have been tested and are functional. This is correct, albeit I can’t remember what side was faulty this time.
* Cam locks on the left side show signs of damage consistent with incorrect tightening and positioning.
They are damaged because they are faulty and obviously used cheap substandard materials. As discussed with you how I was tightening the clips, I was told by you that I was securing and tightening correctly.
Summary: The product has been well-tested in the market, and the damage assessed is not consistent with the intended usage. The damage is consistent with permanent use and incorrect set-up.
Again, this product has failed at least four (4) times within the twelve month warranty period. The product was used for its intended usage but failed miserably. It has not been set-up permanently, the most time would have been about two weeks. If it was incorrect set-up, then both of you need to be trained better because you have both told me on separate occasions that I’m setting it up correctly. The product is designed for short-term recreational use, and the damage sustained is outside of its intended purpose.
Your product use documents say no more than twenty eight (28) days continuously, as I’ve told you many times that the most the product has been used is about two weeks at a time. To review the definition of recreational use, you can view our warranty conditions page here: https://www.campsmart.net.au/page/warranty-campsmart-afk-rafters/ We understand that you have gone through the trouble of posting the item back, and as a gesture of goodwill, we have a replacement of the damaged right cam lock arm to send you.
Call it goodwill if you want - guilt would be more appropriate. Please let us know your shipping address so we can send the AFK and replacement arm back to you. Please note that this is a goodwill gesture and not under warranty, as the warranty has expired, and the product has not been used as intended. As the item is out of warranty and has been used extensively for the past 12 months, we are not able to offer you the requested refund for the product.
I requested a refund after six months of purchasing this product and you said it’s not in your policy to refund. Now after the twelve months has expired you say that you can’t refund - absolutely pathetic. We note from your phone conversations, emails, and public Facebook page that you live and work permanently from your caravan. As such, you would be better suited to a product designed for permanent habitation.
The phone conversation you refer to about working on the road, is the one I had with [Name Removed] when I purchased the product over the phone. If there was a problem with me traveling and picking up a little work on the way, why didn’t [Name Removed] say something then???? The other phone conversations and follow up emails were when the product failed again. I don’t have a public Facebook page, this is just a lie. The replacement parts are being offered under goodwill only and do not extend your warranty in any way.
Guilt again. We look forward to hearing from you. Please note this offer is for a limited time and expires on the 15th of March.

Caravan awning shade wall.(Probably one of the greatest handiest website I’ve come across.) – Looked online on Sunday night at getting a shade for the awning on the van. Found campsmart. Anti flap kit for dometic awning – We have purchased items from camp smart previously and hadn’t had any issues with quality. However we recently purchased a set of anti flap rails to fit our dometic awning. They are substandard and when you get the slightest puff of wind the awning material pulls out of the clamps, no matter how tight you do them up . If your thinking of purchasing these I would advise you to get the Aussie Traveler brand instead Show reply
