I recently required my LG 65" TV to be repaired under warranty I contacted the service division and spoke to Amy Amy was extremely helpful and professional in listening to my comments as I resided in Geraldton and would not be available and when repairs would be carried out Amy kept me in contact when the parts were available and scheduled the… Read more
work to be completed when I could arrange someone to be at the property as I was not returning to Perth for two months The job has now been completed. The staff were very efficient with everything connected back up, including the sound devices, when the job was completed and tested Extremely satisfied and would recommend
These guys are on the payroll of Samsung so you'll never get an honest inspection on Samsungs dodgy fridges, the tech who came out seemed honest and said there is an issue with the fridge, the compressor is too loud. Or was this just lip service as got an email the next day advising fridge was normal. So sick of shonky brands and their service techs who are in bed together!

Camtec asking $190 for callout we didnt agree to – tech sent us a text message saying they would be coming and the text asked to reply YES if you want us to come..btw was a month after we stated the fridge had a problem, I didnt type NO as there was no option so I didnt type anything. a tech, a Bryce person arrived anyways! and said he was just in the area and decided to drop in as a courtesy and… Read more
looked at the fridge and answered our questions with no answers as he said he didnt even know the fridge brand!! He stated we wouldnt be charged for the visit as the policy stated if the owner did not damage anything we would be charged, then they had the audacity to send us a bill for $190!! and he did nothing! the invoice basically called us stupid as we didnt understand how fridges work and you have to slam the door to shut it and thats normal! LOL, they harrassed us for days over this bill when it took them over a month to actually do anything,After reading similiar experiences with this company I can see we are not alone. Appliances Online use this company to do their repairs etc so maybe talk to appliances online if you have a problem with your cheap chinese made fridge first or Camtec will come and charge you $190 to talk in your kitchen while looking at ya crappy fridge.

Professional and friendly – Samsung said to use Camtec, as they are a authorised Samsung repairer. Camtec came over and replaced my Samsung 4K LCD panel, which was still under warranty. Very professional, friendly, and the technician knew what he was doing. I was surprised that you have to replace the whole LCD panel as one. Highly recommend.

Terrible. Tech broke induction cooktop; no remedy offered – My premium induction cooktop Whirlpool SMP658CNEIXL was working fine for 18 months until 2/8 hotplates stopped working. They sent out a technician from CAMTEC who then cracked the glass cooktop, rendering it useless. He then left without fixing it and Whirlpool have only offered $249 store credit to put towards a new cooktop at the Good Guys. The… Read more

Appalling customer service and zero corporate responsibility.

Lg recall issue – Had recall issue with our lg tv peter from samsung came out on time very friendly fixed the problem very happy with service would recommend. Peter was a professional. THANK YOU.
Honest and Efficient with Great Customer Service Focus – We had issues with our reasonably new samsung fridge which was under warranty. Camtech Adelaide arranged a visit within 48hrs. Technician arrived on time, checked out freezer section and found fault fairly quickly. Replaced ice maker machine. Technician was polite, friendly and took the time to explain the fault. The Technician even spent a couple… Read more

Poor customer service and incopetent technicians – If I could give a zero star rating I would. The customer service from CamTec Perth is below par and terrible. Giving a 8hr window for the tech to turn up is downright terrible. When the tech did finally turn up, he had no idea on how to reset a simple circuit breaker. Also left our oven in a dangerous state with parts not put in properly, wires… Read more
crushed parts installed upside down and so on. We only found this our after turning it on and finding the whole chassis of the oven was live causing the breaker to trip every time, thank goodness. These guys are dangerous and IMHO not to be trusted or used.
Appalling customer service – Air conditioning service booked 3 weeks in advance. Had to call the day before to get confirmation. On the day there was no show, so we rang to find the job had been cancelled. Their overseas call centre appears to have trouble understanding English and reading emails. Our job was cancelled in error without explanation.
Criminal service – Incompetent and straight up criminal. They send out a technician to repair a part that's not even a part of their service which they knew it wasnt and still have the gall to charge me $200 for it. I even had a technician come out two weeks prior to service my air conditioner from my aircon company and they said nothing was wrong with it and… Read more
everything was in working order. The part in question is the controller that they knew wasn't a part of their warranty service so when they got here, they did nothing and charged me another $200. Im confused as to why samsung was contacted to do a warranty repair even though the first technician already said nothing was wrong. Samsung knew the controller wasn't a part of their service yet they still sent someone out to repair it, Straight up highway robbery.
Avoid this company at all costs and try another certified samsung repairer.

Great service and repair – Despite the reviews we had a great experience with camtec who came to repair our Samsung dryer under warranty. They came to fix but another part was busted so they ordered the part, came back within the week and the same tech did the repair. He was super friendly and efficient and our dryers back working like a dream. We also had good communication despite my phone not working. Very happy cheers Malcolm and team

Appalling Experience – Beware of Exorbitant Charges – I am not typically someone who leaves reviews. However, my recent experience with this repair company has compelled me to share my story due to the utterly horrendous situation I encountered. Firstly, I was charged $66 just to inspect and provide me with a quote. A practice that I find both unconventional and outrageous. I've never encountered… Read more
such an unreasonable practice in my life, where customers are billed just for a quote. This is an immediate red flag for anyone considering their services.
The real shocker came when they provided me with another quote, the "repair quote" of an astonishing $361 to fix a small, broken part of my vacuum cleaner head. To put this into perspective, the cost of purchasing a brand new vacuum cleaner head of the same make and model is a reasonable $149. I initially bought the entire vacuum cleaner for $350, less than 12 months ago. Charging more than double the price of a new product for a repair is not only unreasonable but also absolutely outrageous.
Their assessment of the damage was "customer-induced," despite it being a clear result of everyday use and normal wear and tear. Their assessment not only left me bewildered but also raised serious doubts about their competence and integrity.
As someone who typically doesn't leave reviews, I want to emphasise how deeply disappointed and frustrated I am by the unscrupulous practices of this company. I feel obligated to share my ordeal, especially for those considering using Samsung's services or middleman companies like JB Hi-Fi, Good Guys, and so on. It's crucial to find out who the repairer is, and strongly advise against choosing this company. You don't want to go through them; you're better off finding your own reputable repairer.
I implore you to steer clear of this repair company at all costs. Their pricing is beyond reasonable, and their assessment leaves much to be desired. I can only hope my review serves as a cautionary tale for others and prevents them from falling victim to these exorbitant charges.
Charged again to repair new part they replaced – I called Camtec with regards to repair the ice maker, the flap door hinge and bottom freezer door hinge and to replace the filter, all was good even though the first time they came out they had the wrong filter so no work was carried out. They came back and replaced all the worn parts including the ice maker with a new ice maker assembly. I paid… Read more
the bill and they left a week or so later called them to advise the ice make was not producing ice. I had to pay for another call out fee as well as the labour to check and rest the ice make they installed, even though i did complain about this my concerns fell on deaf ears. If this is what they call service to charge you again to rectify their own supplied part and workmanship, this is not service and what sort of warranty and or guarantee is provided by this company on work and parts supplied and installed by them. This is not only poor service but I would consider it blatant over charging and basically robbery, with them not taking any responsibility not only for the parts they supply but the workmanship, particularly where they had 3 months warranty which in this day and age is an absolute joke for new parts and labour. Oh I did contact them directly to rectify this situation but again they were not interested. Camtec more like Cam ripp off.
Felmac Rangehood under warranty – Purchased the range hood from Harvey Norman. Noticed the suction is inconsistence and at one time experienced a very noisy motor with strong vibration. Report to Harvey Norman and was contact by Camtec and will charge me if it is working properly. I informed the lady from Camtec that is does not happen all the time. She rudely informed that is… Read more
the company policy to charge me if it is working and very unsympathetic towards my concern. I find this rude behaviour unacceptable.
Appalling service – I was placed in contact with CAMTEC in Perth after I reported my brand new Samsung cassette aircon making a ticking noise. The technician came to inspect it. was found. I explained my conversation with the technician after which she indicated that there was no fault with the outdoor unit. I explained the fault is with the unit in my office and the noise was recorded by the technician. She repeated that there was no fault with the outdoor unit. This resulted in Samsung ignoring the reported problem. I would strongly recommend staying away from Samsung air conditioning units and staying away from CAMTEC.
Poor customer service – Our Baumatic dishwasher started to fail - didn't wash properly and didn't dry. Called 1800 help number and got a Camtec serviceman to come and have a look. Consequently, I rang Baumatic next day, spoke to a helpful spart parts person who advised part number, price, availability and freight costs straightaway. Should not be in business – My Dometic portable fridge was only 9 months old when I left it with Camtec Perth office for a warranty service problem. I have resorted to confirming and checking their information with… Read more
Dometic's warranty department as I do not trust anything that Camtec tell me. I have made numerous phone calls to Camtec and some to Dometic. Camtec staff are uncomunicative, hard to understand and do not ever return calls despite promising to do so. I have had to phone them at all times for information. Dometic have been very helpful but are hampered by the incompetence of Camtec, who are their only warranty service agent in Perth. I have given them a 1 star rating as 0 was not one of the options. I have now cancelled two camping trips and and am facing cancelling a third as they cannot (will not) give me any answers. This company should not be in business in any capacity to do with service. There is none.
terrible – I rang this company on the instruction they can fix my Samsung TV from the store I had purchased it from. Terrible Service – I have now dealt with this company three times and the service gets worse every time. I have a Samsung Fridge and three times I have had to replace the same part. I will avoid at all costs in the future – We bought an LG Fridge that we could not level with the tool provided. LG contacted Camtec on our behalf and arranged for a repairer to attend. They attended, fixed nothing and had the audacity to charge $105 for… Read more
five minutes on site. They did not even fix the issue. When the LG tech finally attended, he agreed the tool provided to level the fridge was flaired and was not gripping the nuts, he fixed the issue. Camtec service was horrible and LG did not waive the bill even though their tech fixed the issue and blamed the tools they provided. I will avoid both companies in the future.

Worst company I have ever dealt with – During the middle of this year, 2021, I purchased a Samsung vacuum cleaner with a Jet Clean Station. In four days I had trouble with the Jet Clean Station not working correctly, as the vacuum canister did not clear when inserted into the Jet Clean opening, the dust bag holder didn't click shut properly and the indicator light on the front of the… Read more
machine didn't indicate as to when the dust bag became full. I contacted the company who sold me the items to be informed that said problems were covered under warranty and to go to Camtec, here in Adelaide, who were Samsung authorised repairers. I rang Camtec, prior to attending their address, spoke to a female, who could hardly speak English and was terrible to understand, (I found out later Camtec have this female based in Philipines, or at least this female, who I have spoken to on a number of occasions), and subsequently went to their office. The girl at the front counter was very helpful and polite. So far so good, booked in the Jet Clean Station. Two weeks later I received a phone call from the Filipino girl, and from what I could understand, that the Station had been examined, it was found to be working 'within design parameters. OK, I thought, so I attended the office again, to find out that I had to pay $66 to get the Station back because the technician had found nothing wrong. So I paid the money over, slightly annoyed. I asked to speak to the technician who came out of the workshop. The bag, suction and bag holder were working within specified parameters, according to him, however, he stated he had no real experience or knowledge from Samsung about the Station and he didn't know if the light worked or not, so in that case, it was considered nothing wrong with the machine and to pay up the $66, with the proviso that if the light continued to not work correctly to bring the Station back. What? This was an explanation that just wasn't right. OK, I thought again. A week or two went by and still problems with the Station not clearing the dust container fully, the bag was very difficult to close inside the machine, and the light didn't work. I had previously contacted Samsung over the phone and again over their website, during the times dealing with Camtec, to be advised on both occasions, 'take the machine to Camtec who are our authorised repairers'. So back again to Camtec to get something done. TWO months later, no word, so I rang Camtech, spoke to the Filipino girl again, with great difficulty understanding her, but told still waiting on Samsung to assist with technical details on fixing said sensor on the light. OK. Another two weeks go by, I received a call from Camtec, this time male Aust. accent, to be told, yes, Samsung has given them the tech advice and it was now going to cost me $126 to get it fixed. I stated the machine was under warranty, to be told Camtec knew nothing about a warranty, and an invoice had been sent to my email address for payment. At least this invoice recognised that something was wrong with the machine, being proof that there was actually a fault. That day I made a call to the Office of Consumer Affairs who advised me that Samsung was deficient in warranty requirements under Australian consumer law and to make a complaint after advising Samsung, in writing, to get the matter fixed with a refund of $66 or to replace said item or refund within 7 days. I then returned to the company where I purchased the Station, spoke to the manager in the electrical dept. who sent an email advising the Samsung Rep. in Adelaide of what had occurred and advice received. Apparently, the Rep. was not impressed about what occurred and contacted the management of Camtec. The next day I received a call from Camtec full of apologies and that the $66 would be refunded straight away. The manager of the store I purchased the Station from also made representations to the Samsung Rep. to replace the Station. I subsequently received the refund and a new machine after returning the old and defective one to the place of purchase. TEN weeks after my initial attendance at Camtec. The reason I have given such a long and detailed account of my experience, is to let consumers know of the bad experience I had with Camtec, my reasons for taking action, and to advise customers to contact Consumer Affairs when this company starts doing these questionable practices, such as charging monies while under warranty, long time to fix, without actually fixing the problem. Don't wait for over 2 months as I did, go to Consumer Affairs and get something moving.
Fixed my TV – Camtec Adelaide are the local Samsung Agent for repairs and were tasked with the repair of our TV - cracked screen. After reading the reviews - I was a bit concerned. However, Camtec were efficient and the part arrived and was installed a week before the scheduled service date. The repair guys were on time and within half an hour had replaced the screen and TV in excellent working condition. Good job Camtec. Show details
They get paid by manufacturers to save them money by providing incorrect diagnosis – They sent a technician 3 times and came with a different part every time and in the end he wrote incorrect report to LG so they can get away with the service. Very rude and unprofessional. expect to be sued very soon.
Samsung TV Warranty Repair – Mario arrived punctually after prior notification. He was able to trouble-shoot the problem and replace the faulty part in a most expedient manner with grace and charm. Thankyou, Mario! John & Kathy
Poor Service & Communication Rude Staff – Tenants in a property that had a faulty gas top and the company pretty much harassed us with back to back calls every day with only seconds apart. all over the top and never cleaned up after himself. Didn’t trust what he was advising us about what needed doing! Eventually when the hob was fixed again the mess was left all over the hob and kitchen surface!
Exceptionally poor customer service and communication with very unprofessional staff that clearly come across as they don’t care or have any respect for the work they do and how they leave a customers home which should be as they found it!
Do not recommend these at all and it appears the reviews are consistent with our view and they have made no effort to up the game or take the feedback onboard!
Do not engage Camtech or purchase a Samsung tv in Adelaide – This is an unprofessional, incompetent, dishonest business. drop out. Both televisions were still under warranty so I approached Samsung who referred me to Camtech as the official representative of Samsung in Adelaide. Camtech replaced parts in both of my televisions which made the audio drop out even worse, and instead of acknowledging this, Camtech then advised Samsung that there is absolutely nothing wrong with both of my televisions. I recommend that Samsung televisions are not purchased in Adelaide because if they are, the only people who will attend to the inevitable faults in those televisions are Camtech, and Camtech will not undertake the obligations owed under the warranty. I am now proceeding under the Australian Consumer Law in order to get my 2 faulty televisions fixed.
worst customer service ever – Absolute worst customer service I've ever come across. Two weeks since I first put in my warranty claim on my crap samsung TV.
