I selected a carpet from samples provided by Carpet Call Midland, only to discover after installation that it was not the carpet I had chosen. It appears the sample I selected from was outdated, yet the sample had not been removed from circulation. installed carpet was different from the sample from which I chose. Despite this, Carpet Call Midland have not stood by their obligations or Ainsteen, his promise to remedy the situation. There has been no effort to resolve the matter even after Consumer Protection became involved.
The company have refused conciliation and have offered no remedy, leaving me with no option but to pursue the matter through the Magistrates Court at further cost to me.
On point of principle and best practice I strongly encourage purchasing carpet from a reputable, honest company who demonstrate ethical business practice including customer satisfaction, fairness and accountability.

After waiting nearly 3 months for my plantation shutters, they were promptly installed by Leo and his colleague and apart from the them being so so polite, they left the place clean after the installation of all the plantation shutters was excellent, they look absolutely fantastic. there is nothing wrong. Engaging local retail store to help they got the same response. Pathetic for a company whose moto is " The experts in the trade" Where is the manager in all of this. He is missing, he doesn't care. The issue is clear to me. They engage an installer for a particular job and once its finished and he is paid the installer refuses to go back and fix any issues plus carpet call seems not to employ any installers themselves to attend to poor installation problems. Don't use these people, they don't care and are totally unprofessional.

weeks later; carpet still unsightly with horrible "mismatched" join spanning the entire master bedroom in centre of floor. Multiple visits to site, numerous emails back and forth and told 10 months later that carpet selected will always create visible join line and we should darken our windows to eliminate issue. I should think that the "Experts in the Trade would possess enough product knowledge to know and advise that selected carpet does not join well, choose again. More than 5 staff members involved - everyone passing the buck and no-one taking accountability. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY! I will be taking further to the ACCC - tell anyone considering Carpet Call to read the customer reviews here before spending a single dollar. More than half of the reviews are 1 star. The only positive thing I can say is a was offered a price match on the shutters and that the installers showed up on time and did a good job.
Take your money elsewhere. We paid $13,000 for a 3 day hybrid flooring installation. It has been 17 days since they commenced works and they're still going. Lots of internal miscommunication, rude staff. They left our stairs unfinished with loose nails and exposed staples. When you leave a bad review, someone will reply back asking you to email a webreporting email address. This.will.do.nothing.at.all. BEWARE!

When I called their head office to ask for clarification, they shifted the blame to us for agreeing to the Friday rescheduling.
Absolutely terrible customer service.
UPDATE, 13/02/26: The installers arrived today and informed us that after installation, we will need to refrain from using the stairs for at least 24 hours. We had never been advised of this requirement prior, and they even had 3 whole extra weeks to let us know so we could arrange accommodation, etc. Spoke with the Carpet Call team, again no help at all, just generic apologies.
For any potential customers, do yourselves a favour and go elsewhere.

and remedied by the next contractor Oscar who would lay the floors and fix any uneven patches. Surprise! The floor is lumpy, creaky and falling apart. The scotia was absolutely butchered and mismashed alone the skirting and not finished properly though and behind the door frames. They caused massive delays for our entire renovation.
Absolute waste of $6000. We replaced the floor for sale so unfortunately some other poor soul has to put up with carpet call and all star floorings abomination of a job.
I have had timber flooring applied over my tiles and up my stairs. The service has been pretty much non existent and I felt like I was a nuisance each time I contacted them about anything except payment. down to adjust to the new height of the floor. Had I been told I would have had it done prior to the floor being laid. The stairs have sharp edges that look dreadful and the trim on the bottom tread is loose. I have contacted them and they keep sending the apprentice out and this is what I have been left with.
Also I bought a rug in their shop after telling the salesman that I have carpet moths and can't have wool. The rug he sold me had a percentage of wool in it but he reassured me that would be ok. I checked with my pest control guy and he said absolutely not. No wool at all. The rug had not even been delivered but I had to fight to get a refund. In the end I got a store credit and used it to cover some of the flooring. I wish I had gone somewhere else.
When my son contacted them, they sent out a tradesman to correct the strips at the edge of the stairs.

Follow-up · Hybrid flooring is very easy to clean. I use an Oates sweep and dust mop to remove any dust. I mop with the Sabco spin mop using Sellys multi surface floor cleaner.

employed by carpet Call who did a great job we were very disappointed and frustrated with the lack of communication and scheduling by Carpet Call staff at Bennetts Green, for a job that was said take 3 days it took 5 days and as pensioners we removed and replaced 80% of the furniture when Carpet Call advised furniture removal was part of the work, contractors weren't aware of this. Numerous texts and phone calls to Bennetts Green store were made throughout and I was told they would get back to me as the person I wanted to speak to was with another customer, this didn't happen no return calls were received. From the day we walked into the store until the day of completion it was frustration and confusion and at no time did Carpet Call enquire how the work was progressing or what we thought of the end result. I know at times my frustration boiled over and I didn't show the correct diplomacy with the staff but I feel my frustration was warranted given the circumstances. timetables around my elderly father, keeping us informed every step of the way about how things would progress. I would not hesitate to request Max's team again in the future. However, I was caught off guard by the levelling process — both in terms of time and cost. Carpet Call's salesperson advised me that furniture could simply be moved from one side of the room to the other during installation. This turned out not to be the case where levelling is required, and I was not made aware of this upfront. Levelling is a significant undertaking and the fine print around it deserves much clearer explanation at the sales stage so customers can properly prepare and budget. In hindsight I probably should have researched levelling more thoroughly myself, but better disclosure from the sales side would have made a real difference. 4 stars — full marks for the installation team, marks deducted for misleading sales advice around the levelling process.
Excellent customer service. Spoke with Bobby from Cairns store Thursday came out next morning on time do do a measure and quote. Bought samples for us to choose from. No fuss excellent price. He was such a pleasure to deal with,answered all our questions very professional.

When the floor inevitably failed, they spun a web of shifting stories to string me along and duck responsibility. When their inspector arrived, it was clear they weren't there to help—they were there to hunt for a scapegoat. The moment he began scanning my house for the smallest external pinpoint to blame other than their own "experts in the trade professional experts," I knew it was game over. They chose to ignore the glaring joint between two slabs they simply covered up without sealing or testing, and even happily floored over an outlet hole without a single word of professional consultation.
They had the audacity to claim moisture tests were done, then backpedalled when asked for proof, claiming "recording results wasn't a requirement"—a blatant lie that contradicts mandatory industry standards.
Their final "solution" was the ultimate insult: offering to redo the job at a "discounted price," trying to profit from the very negligence that destroyed my floor.
And to Carpet Call: don’t you dare reply with your generic, copy-and-paste "I’m sorry to hear about your experience" script. Don't bother asking for my invoice number to "investigate" for the sake of appearances. You had your chance to be professional, and you chose to be the lowest of the low. You are an absolute liability to any homeowner.

were advised it would have to be replaced. This took another 3 weeks to arrange and we were charged an extra $1500 for a different carpet. During this time we could not place furnishings in these room, and had lounge suite and bed stored in the living room, we had to physically move the large furniture ourselves, (we are both over 70 years old), as there is a charge for them to do this. At no time did the manager at Chirnside park store come to the property to see what the problem was or offer an apology or assistance, a 10 minute drive. We have not even received a follow up call, since the carpet was replaced to check everything was OK with the new installation. I would not recommend this business to anyone, appalling customer service.

installers has broken the tape which had " DO NOT USE" written on it and proceeded to defecate in our toilet. No other trades had been present in the time since they left and we discovered what had happened, therefore despite the denial from the installers, no other person could have done it. Understand that when you are busting to go that you need to go, but you do not rip open a toilet which is not connected and proceed to do your business in it. Absolutely disgusting attitude and customer service. Deny all you like, both the installers and us know it was done by your team, a sorry and an offer to come and clean up the mess that was left was all that was required. I chose not to put down a "joining strip, but later we found that it really did need, so as to avoid a trip hazard. We called them back & they fixed it without anymore charge.
