I would like to take this opportunity to give well deserved feedback to the Carpet Call team at Packenham from the man that did the quote to the team that came to our house in Nyora to carpet the whole house. I recently purchased a rug from Carpet Call and I have to admit I changed my mind 4 times which must have been very frustrating for KP and staff. I finally ended up with a rug that I absolutely love and I'm so happy that I finally got it right. KP and co were amazing with their patience and understanding and nothing was too much trouble for them.… Read more
I will definitely return to Carpet Call for my next purchase and highly recommend them for their knowledge and and customer service.

We purchased a rug from Carpet Call Capalaba and initially had some concerns with the product. While it was disappointing at first, I believe it's important to judge a business not only by the products they sell, but by how they respond when something goes wrong. Sundeep was outstanding throughout the entire process. He listened to our concerns,… Read more · 1
kept us informed, and followed through on every commitment he made. At no point did we feel like we had to argue our case or chase for updates. He genuinely cared about reaching a fair outcome and made the whole experience far less stressful than it could have been.
This level of after-sales service is becoming increasingly rare. Carpet Call Capalaba stood behind its customer, and Sundeep's professionalism, honesty and commitment completely restored our confidence.
Thank you, Sundeep, for delivering exactly the sort of customer service every retailer should strive for. Based on our experience, I would happily recommend Carpet Call Capalaba to friends and family.
I just want to say that unless Adam (Carpet Call Watergardens) intervened with my hallway runner order I would have cancelled the order and demanded a full refund. complained but luckily Adam was in the store at the time and remembered me talking with Jack about the runner and said he would look after the order personally. Adam always called me and gave me an update to ensure I was happy with what I originally ordered. Thank you Adam for a job well done.
After waiting nearly 3 months for my plantation shutters, they were promptly installed by Leo and his colleague and apart from the them being so so polite, they left the place clean after the installation of all the plantation shutters was excellent, they look absolutely fantastic. LOVE the shutters! Show details · 1
Title: Absolute Nightmare - Extortion, Deception, and Fraudulent Claims]Avoid Carpet Call Browns Plains and their salesperson, [Name Removed], at all costs. from my doctor.Exorbitant Pricing & Coercion: They charged me an extortionate $3,200.00 for a minor area of only 20 square metres (a single room). This is 2 to 3 times the standard market rate in Brisbane. Even before any installation commenced, they aggressively harassed us via continuous phone calls to demand the full balance just to trap our funds.Total Failure of Disclosure: They conducted a mandatory "Site Measure" but completely failed to verbally disclose that ripping up the subfloor was required. Their own professional installers arrived completely blind to this requirement and had to call their manager from my home, proving total internal communication failure.Good Faith Ignored: Right after the failed install, my wife visited the store demanding a refund. Despite the severe distress, we still tried in good faith to resolve this amicably by purchasing a separate $1,500 rug from them. They completely exploited our sincerity.Fraudulent Claims by General Manager: Shockingly, the General Manager of Carpet Call QLD ([Name Removed]) officially refused a refund by falsely claiming the carpet had already been "pre-cut specifically to suit the dimensions." This is a blatant fabrication. The carpet was brought to my home in its raw, uncut "Roll Form," witnessed by multiple people. When I demanded physical proof of the pre-cut carpet, they panicked and couldn't show it. I strongly suspect they are currently trying to retrospectively cut the roll in their warehouse to fabricate evidence.I have now officially lodged a formal complaint with the Queensland Office of Fair Trading (OFT) and submitted my official Medical Certificate as primary evidence of the severe distress and anxiety they inflicted on my family. If not fully refunded immediately, I will be taking this straight to QCAT for fraudulent conduct and personal injury liability. Save your money and mental health—never step into this store.

Property Damage, Poor Workmanship and Months of Chasing Repairs I would not recommend Carpet Call Fyshwick based on my experience. My insurer arranged for Carpet Call to complete flooring and skirting board installation works at my home following significant sewage overflow damage, and I personally paid for flooring in two additional rooms.… Read more
Unfortunately, the overall experience became extremely stressful and disappointing.
On the day of installation, I was unexpectedly required to pay an additional $270 for furniture moving or the installers would not proceed with the work. I saw an installer using the affected toilet which I had warned them not to use as it could initiate another overflow. As we were not living at the house, I came back to find cigarette butts all over my front lawn and pushed into my back deck along with discarded rubbish.
During the installation process, my dining table (purchased in 2024 and previously in excellent condition) was damaged after being moved by the installers. The damage included a split/detached leg as well as cracking to the tabletop.
Carpet Call also issued me an invoice for $350 to move the dishwasher and refrigerator in the insurance-funded area of the home. I advised that I would not be personally responsible for this charge as it related to the insurance works. I am unaware whether this invoice was ultimately paid by the insurer. Following completion of the flooring installation, neither the dishwasher nor the refrigerator was returned to its original position, requiring further effort to have the kitchen restored to a usable state.
In addition, I repeatedly raised concerns regarding the quality of the skirting board installation, including visible gaps, rough joins and poor finishing. Over approximately 7 months I made numerous phone calls, emails, texts and in-person visits attempting to resolve both the table damage and the workmanship.
Initially, Carpet Call discussed repairs after 6 months, compensation and skirting rectification works, including a proposed compensation offer of $500 and a scheduled repair date. However, after I continued raising concerns about the extent of the damage and workmanship issues, the agreed rectification works were later withdrawn and responsibility for the damage disputed.
I found the overall handling of the matter disappointing due to the delays, lack of accountability and stress involved in trying to achieve a fair outcome.
So after paying a total of $6,797.13, I have been left with a significantly damaged dining table, skirting boards with visible gaps, amateur joins and poor finishing, and no meaningful resolution or compensation despite months of attempting to resolve the matter directly with Carpet Call Fyshwick.

This review is product specific, but does also relate to my experience with Carpet Call. I purchased a rug and a product called an Amazing Wonderblock to clean the rug from them in October 2025. for the next use which is exactly what I did.
However upon it's next use I found the item was covered in mould which could not be removed.
After what can only be described as a combative conversation with the store concerned and them refusing to do anything I contacted their HO who organised a product swap.
But guess what, product has been used once and has come up mouldy again (as per pictures)
I have this time asked for a refund which Carpet Call has refused, which given the product is not fit for purpose annoys me a bit, but they have let me exchange for a different item.
In short, give this product a wide berth. Carpet Call flatly refuse to say product is faulty but it quite clearly is just rubbish.

If I could give 0 stars I would. So many issues I don't know where to start - high pressure sales tactics, misleading lead times, refusal to honour quoted combine flooring pricing, 17 week lead time instead of the quoted 10-12 weeks to install, only to end up with 3 different shutters with 3 different configurations/designs. More than 5 staff members involved - everyone passing the buck and no-one taking accountability. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY! I will be taking further to the ACCC - tell anyone considering Carpet Call to read the customer reviews here before spending a single dollar. More than half of the reviews are 1 star. there is nothing wrong. Engaging local retail store to help they got the same response. Pathetic for a company whose moto is " The experts in the trade" Where is the manager in all of this. He is missing, he doesn't care. The issue is clear to me. They engage an installer for a particular job and once its finished and he is paid the installer refuses to go back and fix any issues plus carpet call seems not to employ any installers themselves to attend to poor installation problems. Don't use these people, they don't care and are totally unprofessional.
Take your money elsewhere. We paid $13,000 for a 3 day hybrid flooring installation. It has been 17 days since they commenced works and they're still going. Lots of internal miscommunication, rude staff. They left our stairs unfinished with loose nails and exposed staples. Carpet Call South Morang in March for a house renovation. The carpets were installed on two separate dates. The installer from Carpet Call who installed the carpets in April was first rate as was his quality of work. The installers on Friday 11th July 2025 arranged by Carpet Call has left multiple areas of damage to our three bedrooms/skirting boards.(see photos). Not only was the damage done it was also attempted to be covered up with putty and we were not notified. The carpet was not laid square to the room and was very poorly laid.
Upon close inspection at the end of the job we found 5 large areas of skirting board that had been damaged and a broken door stops. These bedrooms and skirting had just been painted and renovated that week. We were extremely disappointed by the lack of care and professionalism of the installers. When we pointed out the damage he then tried to offer money. We obviously complained to the manager of Carpet Call South Morang who was very apologetic. The regional manager [Name Removed] who attended our home was at best average. He arranged for the damage to be fixed to skirting boards. Had a real qualified carpet layer come out and cut, stretch etc the carpet in an attempt to make it look respectable. (See image 4) This is what was removed from the rooms due to terrible job done laying carpet on 11/7/25.
Carpet Call now just want to wipe their hands of this appalling installation. No compensation for poorly laid carpet, damage or broken door stops. We certainly did not find them to be the so called Experts In The Trade. Please check very carefully who is installing your carpet and their qualifications.
We would never use this company again. Their follow up and complaint handling is just deplorable. Worst experience in retail ever.
Follow-up · As per usual no follow up whatsoever from Carpet Call. The worst company I have ever had to deal with. Stay away and make sure you have good legal representation. Before you use Carpet Call ask if the person laying your floors is Qualified by Australian Standards and not just someone who thinks they can lay carpet. Beware. Stay Away.
Follow-up · No the carpet was not replaced and no discount was offered. Other damage that company tried to coverup took about 2 weeks. Worst company we have ever dealt with. Certainly not the experts in the trade as they like to claim.
As per usual with Carpet Call no reply. Please make sure the person installing your carpet is… Read more

Every morning I get up and see this very poorly installed floor and I want to cry its very distressing. Look at the photos it looks worse in reality. At over 8k it's disgusting. key handover we were vacuuming as our house was so dirty at key handover, it was an absolute joke. My wife felt a big lump in the carpet, so we contacted builder who then contacted carpet call and they had left a big piece of carpet gripper under the carpet in the middle of the main bedroom. Also prior to carpet call coming out we had both received several toe and foot injuries from the carpet gripper nails, we didn’t realise they hadn’t been banged down. So during cleaning windows etc we kept standing on the nails, which are pretty sharp. When carpet call came to sort out the mysterious lump we were told that carpet calls policy was they only to bang down gripper board nails in doorways. Wow never had this problem before with Trevor carpet(whom we have used three times and had no issues ever). How can this even be a thing as standing on these nails can cause serious injury, what about our kids and pets who play near walls in carpeted rooms. Is this seriously ok? I was actually bleeding at one incident. Shame on you , are you just lazy and can’t be bothered. Takes too much time? We were told if we get the nails banged down our warranty is null and void. When we went to do selection we were not told they don’t bang the nails down. How can they get away with this. It could potentially cause a serious injury. Also the gripper used seems to wide and we cannot put some of our furniture close in to the wall if we do we have to put something under the front otherwise it looks like it is going to topple over and fall forward. Have never experienced this before. Do not use this company to do your carpet, I recommend Trevor’s carpet. This time was through the builder and I think Redink need to rethink who they use in the future. 100% DO NOT recommend carpet call.
Follow-up · I had a follow up but they were over in Queensland. I was told that my complaint would be passed on, but have heard nothing from Carpet Call. I have hit the six month maintenance period so am trying to get builder(Redink) to do something. They are not great to deal with either.

including overseas supplier to check the floors. In the middle of winter with a newborn they ripped up the floorboards and levelled the floors with a very smelly chemical that forced us to air out the house for days on end while the house was freezing with a new baby. it was terrible. The concrete level dripped onto our carpet and ruined a section as big as your hand. The layer cut an old carpet and stuck in position. Looked terrible. After completion the popping sound continued and have put up with it until present in 2026. We were forced to pay in full prior to starting the works otherwise works will not start. was told someone would return his call. No one did. I then called twice myself and was given the same assurance, yet again no one contacted us. My husband was eventually advised that the rug would be delivered at 9:00 am on Saturday, 20 June 2026. Once again, we arranged our time around the promised delivery, but the rug failed to arrive as scheduled. At that point, my husband contacted the store again and spoke to the same employee who had previously advised him about the delivery. By then, it was clear that there had been a complete breakdown in communication and customer service. Delays can happen, but there is no excuse for failing to notify customers, failing to return multiple phone calls, and repeatedly making delivery commitments that are not honoured. What is most disappointing is that it appears the rug would not have been delivered on 20 June 2026 either had my husband not continued to chase the store for answers. Customers should not have to repeatedly contact a retailer to find out where their purchase is or whether it will be delivered as promised. We fulfilled our obligations as customers, yet Carpet Call repeatedly failed to fulfil its obligations to us. This experience has been extremely frustrating and has significantly tarnished what should have been a positive purchasing experience. I believe Head Office should investigate this matter, as the level of service we received falls well below what customers have a right to expect from Carpet Call.

be suitable for installation over our existing timber floors.
After organising removalists, taking time off work, preparing our home and temporarily moving out, the installers arrived only to advise that the product sold to us was not suitable for our floors and could not be installed. This issue should have been identified before the product was sold.
The installers themselves were excellent originally and genuinely felt sorry for our family. They explained that proper checks should have been completed before installation day. We followed this up on their behalf , felt sorry for them too! So we asked if they would be interested in doing the job , they said if we got the supplies they would . This was also a disaster as in the end we waited a week as they promised then they were rude, cancelled the day they were coming then promised they’d come back. That morning messaged to say they can’t do it, complained the temperature wasn’t too cold and refused to do the work. Bunch of cowboys at All star flooring - extremely unprofessional. All I can say is a good word goes a long way and a bad one even further .
Since then we have dealt with stock issues, multiple store visits, delays, having to source an alternative flooring solution, and repeated follow-up regarding our refund. Despite eventually approving a full refund, Carpet Call initially underpaid us, requiring yet another round of correspondence to recover the remaining funds.
What has been most disappointing is the lack of accountability. Not once has anyone acknowledged the significant disruption, stress and expense caused to our family.
If you have an older home or existing timber floors, I would strongly recommend obtaining independent advice and ensuring a proper assessment is carried out before committing to any flooring product. And a decent installer that is reliable and knows what they’re doing and talks through the process. Our experience suggests that assumptions made during the sales process can result in significant inconvenience and cost for the customer.
We acted in good faith throughout the process and are extremely disappointed with how this matter was handled.

which is just to make sure you get them which I’ve never experienced from others. It does make you uncomfortable honestly. Had I known that earlier, I wouldh’ve gone with another company. After that, we were told to wait for the products to arrive. When we followed it up as we never heard from them past the promised dates, there was a lot of breakdown in communication. Made a lot of calls back and forth. One employee reached out via e-mail who advised installation the very next day, on short notice, without even considering that people work and have matters to attend to. Calls went on again re: short notice notifications and how they should give enough notice especially to those who work full-time as they don’t do weekend installs. That employee washed her hands saying she is a trainee and does not know anything. Reached the head of ops again who said installer should be contacting for installation. The problem is they don’t keep you informed and communication is very poor. How are we supposed to know that is your protocol when installation if weeks late? They messed up, but did not own it. A simple acknowledgement of that would have been better and more acceptable but no, they don’t take ownership of that. So much back and forth as installers are third party and not really their own employees per se. Instead of calling, sent a text message to confirm installation 2 days before. Knocked one of our lights and did not say a thing before leaving. Wouldh’ve been nice if we were at least told and not just find it out ourselves. The product quality is good, but very unprofessional overall. In the future, for my next set of blinds, I would gladly get another company than be stressed by this whole ordeal.
