Having gone through the same process /same flooring 2.5 years earlier we were horrified with the level of professionalism (or lack of) by the sub contractor we were allocated for our install. Disrespectful, arrogant, bully who didn’t want to acknowledge and take ownership for a extremely poor install by one of his staff! Carpet Call are no better , it was only after the threat of legal action did anyone seriously listen! Carpet Call have seriously dropped the ball on the standard of this particular installer on their books (although they assured me he was the best, AGAIN if this is your best you really need to look into how he is conducting the way he treats YOUR customers and YOUR jobs !!! I could say a-lot more but all I will say is IF you, as a customer is not happy get them back and continue to do so because THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT and should under no circumstances be treated the way we were by this so called Installer!!! We have been left with a $9,900 job which is below average, we are now even questioning whether the $1,400 we paid for levelling has even been done professionally (questionable when walking on the floor in some areas) we are also out of pocket for chipped bench on our brand new island broken lock on a side gate, motel stay and having to replace skirts to a different size all because the installer can’t measure off our sample !!- 5 reviews
I had shutters installed in my bedrooms in Feb and so disappointed as they are not level and sag towards the middle. It took 12 calls and took until May to get the installer back. He then said he couldn’t do anything as the shutter would then stick when trying to open and it would void the warranty. He said sorry but he can’t fix how they look visually. What a joke! how they look visually is the whole point of spending so much money on a window treatment! I have used other companies for shutters in the past and never had any issues. My advice go elsewhere for shutters!
They came and measured the whole house and then left off a room so quote was less. When installed one room not done and when questioned there was no followup and I needed to sort out. They would not complete job unless we paid another $1000.00. I went to the other quote fom competitors and got the last room done for $250 less and a better quality carpet. Very poor service and a real ripoff. No apology and no follow up. Get a copy of the sketch and quote when first done and recheck after person leaves.

Planned for carpet to be fitted on Friday around 9am.
I received a call from Oscar at 8.45 am to confirm access.
Oscar arrived at 8.55 am and swung straight into action.
Old carpet and underflooring removed, floors vacuumed to a spotless level.
New smooth edges fitted, new underflooring and new carpet to boot.
I cannot praise Oscar highly enough.
A true gentleman and quality work.
This guy knows his stuff and nothing was too much trouble for him.

We couldn't fault Oscar, our carpet layer. He was extremely punctual, friendly and polite. Oscar explained how to best care for the carpet after installation. We would rate Oscar a definite 5. Carpet Call the Company however, delivered the wrong coloured carpet. Oscar had no choice but to lay the carpet as it was a safety issue for my elderly parents with leaving exposed nails around the skirting boards. Carpet Call tried to charge us an additional $690 for pull up and removal of the original carpet which we understood was incorporated in the original quote.
Our installation technician Oscar was polite, punctual and professional. He certainly knows what he’s doing. He even offered advice on cleaning and caring for our new carpet. We are very happy with the whole experience. Thank you to the team at Carpet Call Crossroads.

I was quoted $14,500.00 for a full laminated timer floor installation in my Caringbah unit. I had to pay the entire amount before the installation would take place. The installers arrived and began to remove my old carpet. After an hour they told me the floor was not level and needed to be repaired. I was then charged $5630.00 to level the floor. Two days later they told me they'd incorrectly installed the flooring on my stairs. They would need to replace that area of the flooring. It took them two and a half weeks to get the replacement floori...
Read moreng... All this time I was unable to live in my unit because of the huge mess they'd made in it... I had to sweep the walls to remove the timber dust they'd left behind... It was as if they'd opened all my cupboards and walk-in wardrobe to allow the timber dust to flow into... The installers didn't clean up at all... They'd left my electronic equipment uncovered during the process and so my month old TV was full of wood dust too... They failed to install the skirting boarding correctly too... They did not use miter cuts on the boards... Some of the boards were left with pin nails protruding from their surfaces. Others have gaps behind them and are are several millimeters from the walls they are supposed to be attached to. This is a disaster of an installation... I complained on several occasions to the manager of the store I ordered the installation through. He seemed less than interested and sent emails to the installations manager who was supposed to contact me in a few hours... I was never contacted by anybody to address the issues I had... Overall, I would NOT recommend this company to do any work on any house... From my experience I can only say that this company Carpet Call is unprofessional, incompetent and unwilling to address issues that clearly need a response. I think Consumer Affairs should look closely at the practices of this organisation. I would suggest that prospective customers go elsewhere and save themselves the trouble and cost of a botched installation... I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with this company. Following my initial posting of this review, I was contacted by Carpet Call head office (?) by email. I've had no further contact from Carpet Call to resolve my situation. I've been left with a terrible job and it seems nobody is prepared to take any action to resolve my situation.Dear John,

On Dec 15 after deciding instore on two rugs of the same color we received 1 and realized it was the wrong choice so we canceled the largest rug and returned the medium size one. We were given a credit note of $1798 no refund was offered. We started again to look for other rugs but there was nothing that appealed to us. He told us that he cannot authorize a refund and that I would need to speak to HO The state manager [Name Removed] took his time returning my call, He was aggressive and shouted over me and couldn't resolve anything he was trying to undermine me because I'm a woman What a disgraceful state manager speaking to me in that manner. Carpet Call has two different policies buy in-store and if you want to return it you don't get a refund just a credit note, But if you buy it online you are able to get refund money back. To me both policies are the same they will be in your home and this is the way you find out if the rugs are suitable for the furniture you have. This company is run by disreputable people who are aggressive they are absolute crooks. I will be contacting the ACCC regarding this defective policy written in the 1990s. We had an urgent job to lay carpet in two rooms when I visited the sales room at Carpet Call Cambelltown NSW the sales rep Omar was extremely helpful and was even able to come and check our measurements the same day. The carpet layer Fardin turned up and did an amazing job and even completed a small carpet repair on our stairwell as a bonus it is not often you get such great service by all involved but this was definetely one of those. After ordering a 7 metre rug which arrived two weeks later, and put it on the floor in my passage, it was crooked by 15 cms. I took it back to have it replaced, and 9 phone calls and 5 weeks later I am still waiting for a rug, one of the incompetent staff I spoke to actually hung up on me!!!
I got them to measure up to re carpet my entire house, thank the lord I never paid the deposit as I felt very uneasy by the sales guy's desperation. Clearly that inner voice was right.
But sadly after going into the 6th week I am still waiting for a simple rug, imagine how they would stuffed up my carpets if I had actually used them.
I heard from a good friend Carpet Court are really good - time to give them a try.

This is a review for Carpetcall Toowoomba. I am writing this out of sheer frustration. Absolute time wasters. Turned up for shutters and flooring, both times with out samples as requested. Second time half an hour late and excuse was the samples wouldn't fit in the car and blamed the sales assistant. crap. Will NOT go for the trifecta.

I have booked for a flooring job, replacing carpet with laminate through a carpet Court store in Melbourne. The amount requested to make the booking was very high, I paid 2900 with only 1000 remaining balance. Job is booked for mod January (in 10 days). Now I have incurred a personal issue die to Covid and unable to proceed. Will they refund the deposit I paid? When I called this week I was told it depends if they have already purchased the material.
I found there's up and down feeling when I walked on the carpet, want to find out what's under the carpet because my neighbour had tile lifting issue
I had flooring layed through carpet call and the floor boards have gaps near walls and doors, not level in areas, not straight in doorways etc and small hole in the carpet. I’m concerned about discussing with the shop I purchased from as they don’t seem interested in helping with issues since we made the full payment - including getting the job finished initially, and then the workmanship is of poor quality.
