lying carpet on stairs – I commissioned Carpet Right Balmain - the service and communication were pleasant and easy, and installation was timely. But I paid for a big roll of the carpet of which only some 1/10 was used so I returned most of it. out to measure up, came back to me quickly with the final quote and even recommended a more suitable colour for the unit. He also managed to bring forward the fit date by four days. All of this and at a very competitive price. It really was a seamless experience under tight timescales.

I have just received the photos from my managing agent and my unit looks transformed with the new carpet - the colour is spot-on. The new tenant is happy too!

Without the help and advice from Manuel, this would have proved an impossible task to organise from the UK. He is a credit to the company. Who knew carpet shopping from London could be so easy!

Disappointing and stressful experience – We have an odd shaped room and Carpet Right tried to keep cost down by having a join near the doorway, to minimise amount of carpet required. Whilst carpet has a 10-15 year guarantee, laying only has 12 month warranty so we weren't happy having a join right where you step into the room. So to lay the carpet properly in the room, they had to order more carpet and charged us more. We tried to change the layout to avoid ordering more carpet but this wasn't possible without having a joint that the layers (contractors) said would would most likely split when laid. The carpet layers were great and wanted to do the right thing, but they were being pressured by the company to lay the carpet with a risky join anyway....so, we had a stalemate until we agreed to split the extra cost. Further, the extra carpet that was ordered is from a different batch and a line can be seen from some directions. In summary, we are happy with the outcomes in the standard shaped rooms but the experience with the odd shaped room was stressful and the outcome sub-optimal. The lesson here is if you are thinking of using Carpet Right, make sure you see how they plan to lay the carpet before agreeing to a quote.

laid in dribs and drabs over the next 2 weeks. Then the job could not be completed as the measurements were wrong and layers ran out of carpet Warehouse was closed for Xmas so it was another 4 weeks before job was finished. I have never had dealings with a more incompetent company than this

Choose an alternative Retailer of Carpet – Carpet Right sends numerous SMS message and emails for requesting payment. The same system does not recognise prompt payment. The Carpet Right salesperson, when we telephoned on the day of installation to address an issue, however, stated “Carpet Right knows what it is doing...the installers know nothing about carpet, just the installers”. We recommend the installers. We do not recommend Carpet Right.

Terrible experience – Carpet supplied with join in exactly the position we stipulated it shouldn't be, despite previously have confirmed the location.
