Carte Noire Coffee Questions & Answers
My neighbour gave me several jars of CARTE NOIRE Classic 200g coffee when I told him I was low in coffee. The Best Before date is almost 8 years over that time but it still tastes great. When I asked him where he bought it from, he told me IGA but they don't stock it anymore. I'm unhappy because that was the best instant coffee I have tasted. Why can't this coffee be brought back to South Australian supermarkets?
Where has the coffee gone?
I cannot find your Carte Noir coffee in any supermarket stores
Where can I obtain it in Perth WA?
Jazz
Unfortunately the company producing this coffee ,in France, have gone out of business. Another Company has taken over, I'm not sure if they are still producing the same coffee under a different name. Unfortunate really, as it had to be the best tasting instant coffee.
I think it is no longer on supermarket shelves in Australia. Maybe able to buy it online from France
It is back on the shelves in the Uk 2018 but dont purchase it .as it may be called Carte Noire but it tastes like L,OR or should i say cats yes thats right what your thinking

Aww that’s so sad, I love this coffee, in my opinion was the best coffee they ever made, shame they went out of business.
Cannot find a stockist of this product can anyone advise ?
Unfortunately the company, in France, has gone into liquidation and this fine product is no longer available. I did hear another company bought them out but who knows if they will produce the same quality product.
Yeah so annoying it was great coffee. I contacted the company rep in Australia and they say Moccona Indulgence is similar - no way!
Mondelez (Carte Noire) sold Carte Noire to Jacobs (Moccona) in Australia, Jacobs immediately removed Carte Noire from the shelves so it wont compete with Moccona. In Europe, Lavattza owns Carte Noire and wont export it to Australia due to the contract between Jacobs and Mondelez.
Just another way Australia always gets done from behind !.
Hi my name is Matt i can't fine Carte Noire coffee any where also gone driving all around brisbane to woolies, Coles, IAG and Chinese grossers can't find it any where. Its my favorite coffee its has a great taste not like the other stuff with a rich bitter taste i will not buy Blend43 moccona and all the other crap please let me know where i can buy a box my ph: [personal details removed] i love this coffee.
My wife wrote to the importers. None left. Not sold here anymore. This was the reply: No, sorry. The last of the stock was sold into Coles and they delisted it in early March. At this stage therefore, there will be very little in the trade.
As an alternative, I would recommend Moccona Indulgence Freeze Dried Coffee as this is 100% Arabica coffee beans and Carte Noire was (originally) 100% Arabica.
Sorry we cannot be of more assistance but hope that you find Moccona Indulgence a great alternative.

Yes, as you know, it has now turned into unobtainium due to a sellout and probable replacement of the product with an inferior tasting, but no doubt more profitable (for the makers) set of of beans, I'll miss this particular product along with hundreds, if not thousands of us.
R.I.P Carte Noire.
Moccona Indulgence Freeze Dried Coffee is not a good alternative, tastes like dirt compared to Carte Noire, I have never liked any Moccona coffee ..
I have now switched over to fresh coffee beans and grind myself..
As i said earlier its back on sale advertised as Carte Noire but it does not taste nothing like the old coffee ,dont wase your money

Not happy jan!! where has Carte Noire Coffee gone?? Please bring it back...its the only coffe that has a great flavour...43 beans just doesnt cut it!!
There was a buy and sell off between Mondelez (Carte Noire) and Jackbs (Maconna) throw Lavattza in the mix and our Carte Noire has been extradited from Australia. Biggest selling coffee in Europe and they say it didn't sell in Australia.
I've never once seen an advert in print or TV for Carte Noire and they wonder why.
Brand managers need branding up the Kyber !.
When and where will Carte Noir coffee become available again in Perth, WA? Not seen in my Coles supermarket and today also visited both an alternative Coles, Woolworths and even an IGA supermarket nearby. Not one of them had it so I am coffeeless. Couldnt make me buy the alternatives - Moccona, Nestle or they're terrible store ranges if it was to save a limb! Come on Coles, Woolworths, Australia stores as a whole, we want Mondelez Carte Noir Instant Coffee range returned to the shelves and you can stop trying to force me to drink your own or the other inferior coffees you seem to be forcing on us.
It's gone !
I WANT CAFE NOIR ! Can't stand the other rubbish available. Have searched all the Cole and Woolworths - Nothing! Help ! Where can I get it.?
You tell me Tony!!! We are getting desperate
Totally agree cannot find it anywhere So Sad
It is still available in IGA's across Tassie at $16.21 per 200 g. I bought 2 tonight just in case.
Can't beat the taste ...better than the floor sweepings offered in the other instants..
I want it back too - wrote to Lavazza - this was their reply: Dear Mr Margaret Brown, we thank you for the interest shown towards Lavazza products and we regret to inform you that, outside Europe, Carte Noire is not sold by Lavazza.
We remind you that the Lavazza Carte Noire Customer Service remains at your disposal for any further information.
Kind regards

Where can we buy this wonderful coffee - Woolworths both large & small stores have stopped selling it and coles it has gone form their shelves it is wonderful coffee
Ann
Wish I knew, why have coles & woolworths stopped keeping it? So annoyed!
My last carte noire jar is running low and quite disappointed that I'm not able to find them at Coles and Woolies anymore. From what I have read online, Carte Noire is sold to Lavazza so not sure if this has anything to do with the discontinue of the brand hence super markets no longer stock it. I have gone out and bought the Lavazza Prontissimo Classico and intense. Very similar tastes!
Where can you buy this Carte Noir coffee it's the best? IGA stopped selling months ago now Woolworths has stopped selling - unhappy
Coles sells Carte Noire in 2 sizes and 2 blends
And larger Woolworths stores
