I recommend RAA Insurance. Honest and trustworthy. They processed and accepted my claim on my caravan for storm damage (Nov 2022) to the caravan roof. Cost of repair $20,000. Good customer service, and easy phone, and email contact. Kept me informed all the way. Repairs were done by an RAA-approved repairer (Griggs). Excellent work, caravan roof is now better than when new. No delays.

Please don't ever take out ANY policy's with this company. CBA sold off the insurance arm a few year's ago and it has spiralled dismally. It should be shut down, warn everyone you know. FRAUDULENT.

It is trash. I am a renter and had water damage inside my bedroom, frying my $3000 laptop. They denied my claim due to “maintenance” that myself and the owner didn’t know about, due to o going heavy rain. I waited 2 months to finally be told they will only pay $1,000 in good faith, from a $3000+ claim.

We have also struggled with this insurance company they don't care about people and their lives the impact on families that thought they were safe by being insured. If they were honest and a reptiple company they would be doing their utmost to settle these claims. especially for the vulnerable that have lost all their belongings and homes are unlivable. Name and Shame this evil company.

You should check the pds of the insurance policy that you have. Generally solar panels will be covered by your home insurance policy. If you have just installed solar panels, you may need to contact your insurer and increase the sum insured

Noticed wet beside our bathroom. Thought was just the shower basin leaking so thought no point claiming and time to rip out en suite. Husband just taking off tiles and copper pipe has a drip com ing from it and the wood structure of the wall is saturated and rotten! Cam we claim on buildings insurance?

We lost our house in the recent bushfires on the 21/12/19. We put in our claim the next day and we are still waiting. If our case worker is claiming that he is waiting for a building assessment isn’t it his responsibility to chase it? WHAT CAN I DO ? I am very disappointed that it has taken 3 months. We need to rebuild!!

Geez, I was thinking to insure with Commisure as they have good bushfire insurance policy but as I live in Tasmania, i don't want any difficulty with them paying up.

I pay monthly via direct debit from COMMONWEALTH account, I forgot to transfer money and the payment has been reversed, will the direct debit try again or what do I have to do?

The best way to deal with Comminsure or financial company is to involve the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) (ombudsman). They are independent in the decision making process and will enforce them to pay up if you have a legitimate claim. It’s worked twice for me and each time CBA had to pay up.
