Over 8000 cups and still going strong – Perfect coffee every time, quick and easy to use,water tray needs emptying every morning and used coffee granules when it tells me but other than that a good clean every two to three weeks is all it gets. Amazing Durability and Value – What a GREAT VALUE machine this has been. 6359 cups or 5 years without a fault. At 6340 cups the water pump finally gave up. more screw from boiler water inlet then pull the old pump assembly out and put the new one in. It took less than an hour. Everything inside these machines are high quality e.g. Excellent large gauge wiring that is properly insulated with NYLON not vinyl connectors... Rather than the crappy cold solder joints on bare wire that I found on my mates Italian "commercial" machine. Very happy still after 5 years and now 6500+ cups.

No support – This has been a good machine but now I need spare parts and they do not respond to emails or have a phone number. Stay away from this product. flush a small glass of water through the frother after every . I also empty the drip tray and rinse the removable brewer under running water every night. I clean out ground coffee powder from brewer area once a week. These tasks can be measured in seconds so they are not hard to do and no doubt prevent problems. For cappuccino milk is the key and cold milk from the fridge needs to be heated in the microwave if you want your coffee very hot like I do, however this takes seconds only. I use a small fresh glass for the milk container and have only enough in it for one mug. After that has been used to make a mug, I remove the glass , rinse it and fill it with water which I then flush through. Prompt help from the supplier is there if you have any questions.

manual/semi-auto machine or coffee shop. It's important to compare like with like - automatic with automatic. That being said, it produces a good quality espresso and i find the water temp to be excellent. Of course, the type of coffee beans you use are important too. It's great to just get up in the morning and press a button and have a coffee ready in less than a minute.

As far as the cappuccino or milk frothing function goes, again, do expect store quality or the same milk as you would get from a steam wand - you won't get it it, but it does a decent job for an auto machine. Being able to use the milk function separately to make lattes and so forth is handy too and the manual has great instructions for making different coffee styles using the machine. It has a good number of adjustments to be able to change the strength of your coffee/amount of beans ground and the amount of water used.

The bean hopper is a good size and it doesn't need descaling due to its water filter. I have only just needed to replace the filter after 12 months, so am happy with that too. The display is easy to follow and buttons/functions easy to use.

The only negatives i have are that it seems to go through a lot of water and needs cleaning regularly. That being said, we drink a few coffees each day, so go through water a lot, but it also seems to use a bit of water during the self clean function when turning off. And, although cleaning can be a pain, it is a necessary evil with any coffee machine in order to maintain good quality coffee. There is some spillage from the grounds container though.

Overall i think it is a great machine and the price is fantastic. In my opinion it is the best auto machine in it's price range and also beats many that are double the price. As i said earlier, it is not a manual machine with steam wand, so don't expect that level of coffee, but for an auto machine it is excellent and i think the coffee quality is still great and i love the ease of getting a coffee with it. easy to use, good coffee, price. cleaning

Better now after return for repair – We have had our Cebo now for 18 months. when we first got it the coffee was ok but never really that hot even with programming. Finally after nearly 12 months it started turning off by itself during brewing and other random things so sent back to Cebo for repairs. module was found to be faulty and repaired under warranty although they did hint that was due to not cleaning which I know not true as cleaned after every use. Since new module fitted machine is great. One thing we did notice is before repair the machine counted cups made and now it displays the temperature instead so not sure if dodgy module from the beginning but very happy with it now after repair. Makes cafe equivalent great freshly ground coffee and frothy milk at the touch of a button. A little messy especially the waste ground coffee that seems to spill internally inside the door but if you clean and rinse the brewer and interior after use not such an issue but is time consuming.

It is cheaper, 2 years warranty, water is hot, more compact, very clean after using, no coffee residue inside, no mass around, .more options available such as coffee/espresso selection, coffee strength selection, 1/2 cups etc. Coffee is great too.

Terrible – Bought this machine as I was told the coffee would come out at a hot enough temperature, it didn't. Was told to change settings to put out more coffee which still didn't work. A great machine – Had a Delonghi Macnifica for four years which made nice cappucinos, but had to microwave each cup for 25 seconds to make it hot enough. It died, so I brought a Cebo 50B. I found it easy to programme for a 12 oz cup and provided it has been turned on for 15 minutes is quite hot. Being 2/3 cheaper than a Delonghi worried me initally, but at this point in time I am very happy. easy to set up and a great price  Show reply

the best coffee machine ever!! – I have had this coffee machine for 18 months and it has reached over a thousand coffees. It still works fantastically. It does need cleaning and maintenance but it quick and easy to clean. We haven't had any problems. Best value for money & Best service by far – Got one for my birthday and straight off the bat the coffee was smoother and richer then my previous Saeco Magic Deluxe machine. After 20 cups I needed a new o-ring for my milk frother, I got word back in less then an hour and had the o-ring covered on the house under warranty, delivered to my door for free in less then a few days. Our first machine before the Cebo was a DeLonghi and that was constantly being repaired as well, this Cebo makes a better coffee ! It is a simple to use, easy to clean machine that makes really great coffee. Various problems but always fixed. Worth sticking with it.

Cebo Coffee Machine – Looks good, taste good! After a year, still going strong! Lots of pros and no cons to report here. Simple touch button options to avoid any confusion. 4th repair, we told them to keep the machine. Since then, we bought a Lucaffe pod machine and haven't looked back - money well spent! No repairs in 9 months and we make 10-15 coffees per day. Time spent making coffee is now less than a quarter of the time spent making coffee with CEBO. Much more hygienic too. The cords and plugs in the CEBO clog up very easily and quickly and no matter how much cleaning you do, there is always a small residue of milk left in the machine which builds up over time. Don't waste your money on this machine. Spend a little extra for a commercial grade manual machine and you and your family/staff will LOVE making their coffees each day.

I think our machine was really good value for money at under $700 and looks to be a quality build, not cheap looking like some of the machines we researched. Affordable and Smart Looking

Big Big Mistake – Purchased the machine in May 2011 and during the 12 month warranty period it was on our kitchen bench for a total of 8 months. The other 16 weeks were spent being repaired. of the time was spent with the distributor.. 50 weeks after purchase it was returned from repairs a 6th time and within 3 weeks the machine ceased to function again.

Distributor advised us that it was now out of warranty but if we paid the freight both ways Adelaide- Maroochydore he would look at it free of cost. I swallowed my pride and took it to our local rubbish tip.

That weekend I purchased a Delonghi Perfecta (with a 2 year manufacturers warranty and an additional 3 years from the retailer) and I deeply regret my original purchase.

The comparison is like chalk and cheese - Hyundai/Porche, albiet over twice the price.

If anyone is considering purchasing one of these machines - beware, their long term reliability has yet to be tested and after 12 months you are "out on a limb". Great coffee Coffee always had to be warmed in microwave, very dirty and wasteful machine, constantly having to be cleaned

problems repairing the machine, but when i asked for it to be replaced, as a new machine should not have to be repaired so many times they refused. The machine still doesn't work - and needs another repair. This has been the worst coffee machine we have ever come across - It will now have to be replaced and i will certainly never purchase another CEBO machine.

Useless – Had this machine now for 11 months and has been retuned 3 times for repairs as well as a replacement machine for the original one purchased. Messy and very time consuming and as for cappuchinnos, well hopeless. Distributor always says its the users fault that the repairs need doing. Do not buy beware! Good customer service doesnt mean you have to put up with an inferior product. Dont waste your money. Mine will now be garbaged.

Cheap price = poor quality – Dont waste your time or money buying this machine. Repaired a few times but was never worth while. coffee grounds spilt throughout the inside after only a few coffees requiring thorough and regular cleaning. The drip tray is poorly designed with no overflow so that it almost always spills on the bench on the way to the sink. It also fills amazingly fast even though we try to catch the majority of rinse water in a glass. The milk frothing system requires even more regular cleaning although I think they all do. The milk only function could be easier to start eg. by pressing the button twice instead of holding it continuously for 7seconds. Especially when this is required every time milk runs through the machine. It grinds the coffee beans more coarsely than our previous machine and therefore uses about 25% more coffee beans by our calculations which add to the running costs. nice coffee too much cleaning

machine has never been an issue, as we know by owning previous machine how important it is to keep your coffee machine clean when milk is involved. In the 18 months or so we have owned the machine, we have had one hiccup, which was rectified by the service team over the phone.

I also use the frothing function when my little daughter deserves a treat, by making her a hot chocolate.

performance from the machine, they recommend that you keep the milk frothier clean by running the fresh water rinse after making your cappuccino, otherwise milk sits inside the pipes - like any auto frothier. Its an automatic function of the machine and takes about 20 seconds from start to finish.

From our experience the quality of the coffee this machine makes is it's best asset - far better than we have previously experienced with home coffee makers. Makes a nice coffee, ease of use

coarse thus increases the amount of beans required to produce a shot of coffee. Steam from use can effect the LCD screen to be unreadable, No provision to add pre ground coffee. We have a capsule style machine at the office but the quality of the coffee just does not compare to fresh beans, yes it is quite easy to use the work machine but the milk frothing takes forever especially if I am making a coffee for a client as well as the frother only makes enough milk for one cup so its really a slow process.

To date the CEBO has not missed a beat but my wife is a clean freak so she really looks after it.Friends that have visited for dinner parties have also gone and purchased and are now enjoying great coffee instead of terrible instant coffee - they really cant believe the difference between quality coffee beans vs instant coffee from a jar!

which this machine is great for - if you drink flat whites etc you wont get them automatically from the CEBO, but you can make them - their manual does explain the process. Knowing my husband very well he would have researched every machine on the market before he bought my CEBO so I can assure you he would have got value for money - hes Scottish so watches every penny!

For the price we paid the machine is unbeatable value and produces a great coffee. Inexpensive, makes a nice tasting cappuccino, good quality.

normal smaller cappucino cups and adjusted and its perfect, never a issue as many have said make sure to clean the milk once finished making your coffee, and clean the milk frother unit once a week and it is for the money a really great machine and we drink around 10-14 a day with this machine and all are perfect. we do is attach the milk container which we keep in the fridge, press the cappuccino button and the Cebo makes a nice cappuccino. We have preset the cappuccino settings to match our mug size, so we use the same size mugs all the time in the house and it fills the mug perfectly each time. This makes our cappuccino taste consistent every day.

After the cappuccinos have been made, we remove the bottom part of the milk container, place a glass of water under the milk pipe and hold the cappuccino button down for 7 seconds – the machine then flushes fresh water through the milk frother so that all milk is removed – this takes about 5-10 seconds. We then put the milk back in the fridge and leave the machine till we want to use it again. We do give the inside of the machine a wipe out every day or so as we are pretty fussy with cleanliness, but I guess some people that are not that worried about the inside of the machine may not do this that often.

We also use the separate milk frother every now and then for a hot chocolate – nice to have that option.

Overall we are happy with our purchase and have recommended our Cebo 50B to many friends who have visited us for coffee. Nice tasting cappuccinos, very easy to operate Had an issue with courier company (TOLL IPEC), but this was sorted out once we contacted Cebo.
