my computer arrived two days after ordering, part missing but was shipped out and and arrived two days later .. The phone service is slow and the wait times stated are longer than stated and if you are on hold and it's closing time you get cut off, with no explanation . phone goes dead and you get a recorded message to call back during opening times.. 23 minutes wait time for being caller no 7 turned into 40+ minute wait time and then cut off... that could be handle so much better
Misleading and dodgy
I got spammed with emails about the black friday sales being almost up and saw that a set of headphones I wanted were not on sale, so I bought them full price ($339) onto to get more spam email 2 days later about how the headphones I just bought were now discounted down to $268. I contacted them about this and was sent a FAQ which pretty much tells me too bad, pretty dissapointing customer service with misleading sales. I wont be using them ever again out of principle, go to PC Case Gear instead.
Employees held off an item for the whole day at Black Friday Sale
Centrecom Frankston had ‘low stocks’ of MSI Gaming Trio X 3080 today and was only available to buy in-store and not online. This branch was in Frankston, around 2 hours 30 min travel time for me to get to. I got up at 5, was able to get there by 7:40 am, ended up second in line. 10 am they’ve opened; and all of a sudden the only 3080 was already put on hold since last night. Everyone was confused cause in their website it said they had stocks available. One by one people started leaving, and I asked that if the person who put it on hold doesn’t...go, can I claim it instead. They were quick to put me off and said that “Sorry the hold is good for the whole day, if he doesn’t get it 10 min before we close you can have it”. This was weird cause in my head there’s no way that they held of an item for the whole day, an hour or two from opening would’ve been reasonable. Anyways as I stayed there longer, they’ve admitted that they weren’t allowed to hold items off for today as it was their black friday sale. They said they couldn’t just give me the GPU, cause even though it was a mistake; they can’t go back on their word on their customers and that they (employees) didn’t know that today was going to be black friday sale. (Even though literally all the price tags on the items around the stores are labeled as black friday sale price). They insisted that instead of staying there and waiting, they’ll hold off the item for me in the morning up til 10:30 if the guy doesn’t come today. (Weird cause just before they offered me this solution, they just told me that they’re not allowed to hold off items on black friday sale). Around 3 pm the manager had told me that he’ll move it from 5:30 to 4:00pm. So that if the guy doesn’t get there by 4pm I can get the card instead. Coincidentally 5 min later, the guy who put the card on hold arrived. Even worse; they didn’t have the number of the person who had the 3080 on hold, and only knew his first name.
Faulty product and nightmare service
Bought a PC from their online store and it was faulty. Sent it back at my expense and waited 3 weeks for it to be fixed. After I got it back it was still faulty!!!! What a nightmare. I had it checked with a local techie and he discovered it was a faulty cpu in about 20 seconds. Centrecom just replaced the cheapest component which was the powerpack and sent it back. Also, the technical support and customer service is terrible and you have to wait on the phone for an hr just to get some help. Dont buy from this business!
Money hungry store no exchanges very unhelpful rude employees just price match their products elsewhere.
they wont hold any items even if you will be there in 20 minutes they wont assist you if you need any help and they wont assist with refunds. also their is no return policy even if the products is still unsealed in the package. just price match some ware else especially if its a gift as it cant ever be returned.
Unhelpful and rude customer service over the phone, after sale was completed
The growth of this once great helpful company has now slipped into the most negative rude and non helpful customer service. This is my first review I have ever written. Two different “customer service” agents were the most unhelpful I have ever dealt with. Have bought off these guys when they’re were smaller, and I couldn’t fault them. Now they have lost my business, as I still have items to buy. The care factor is ZERO. I was on hold for 2hours and 30mins then dealt with the first rude unhelpful “person”. I ordered a pick up and within the hou...r they said it’s been posted. I called first thing in the morning, and as I didn’t want my $4000+ computer rolling around in the back of a postal van, I wanted to click and collect. Ok fair enough mistakes happen. I will cop that. But after 7 hours I get an email from Australia Post, saying that Center Com are packing my order for pick up. I rang straight away to organise me to pick up. Their answer was as soon as it’s in the pick up area they consider it picked up. I explained my predicament, their answer was nothing short of “I couldn’t care less”. Never again. Once I can accept, but twice in one day. Your care factor is a disgusting!!!!
Stressful Online purchase and CS
I need Curved Monitor urgently, Navigate through the centrecom website, no where I can find instruction for pick-up or click and collect, proceed by calling the Customer Service (45 minutes waiting) got the instruction to go ahead with online purchase and go to store to collect it. Once arrived at the store at 5PM, the click and collect officer said my items has been send to Australia Post and there is nothing he can do about it. in my desperation I was asked if I can cancel or refund the order so I can by it again while I am in store. still he said there is nothing he can do about it.

The speakers I purchased were excellent value for what they cost. Shipping and delivery were exceptional so all in all I would certainly recommend Centre com to anyone. Well done to them.

When buying anything online I use the best security I can, this includes a vpn as I have been hacked in the past with my private details exposed. When I purchased my order the order was put on hold as they detected a vpn was been used, as notified in an email. I returned an email informing they can feel free to cancel my order I'll buy elsewhere, they allowed the order to pass. However, I went to buy another item today and all I got was "access denied". Used my other pc to visit their website without an issue in addition to disconnecting vpn I ...also gained access. Once I turned on vpn I was blocked. I did not place the order with them, instead went to another pc retailer placing order a with confirmation of order being processed email sent. So it would appear that customer security is one sided. If they are blocking customers from using their choice of security what are they after? Just what access to "your pc" are they trying to obtain? Be cautious of any retailer who does not allow you to use the best security you choose.

I just purchased two laptops for my daughters for school. The manager was very knowledgeable, honest and competitive on prices. Excellent friendly service on the phone and face to face. highly recommend.

Unit works fine but the power supply fan noise is unacceptable for a desk top in a quiet environment. I returned the unit but was fobbed off. They claimed that the noise was within specs (noisy shop environment) and that they could not replace the PSU because they didn't have spares. They refused to compare my unit with another new one.
The Australia Post delivery is very bad. Although said days deliver on your website: The PC is dispatched on web order on 28/10/2020 until now I still has not seen the computer.
Do not use Aust Post ? Useless company

Poor customer service
Ordered a custom built high spec PC for my studio from Centrecom according to configuration confirmed by the supplier. PC was delivered and HDD cable was not found. I managed to fix the cable but many issues. Need to boot twice to get the display. PC is making an unusual noise and cannot use in my studio. I had to take the PC back to Clayton stores within two weeks. Now again it is going to take one more week for repairs. Will update review once repaired.

Good product, let down by confusion in ordering
Quite a saga!
On 15th Oct I requested that they confirm that a system I had configured - with internal DVD drive - was OK, as I am not an expert.
On 16th they confirmed that it was so after a few minor changes I ordered it on the 19th.
Payment was confirmed on 21st.
They then said that the DVD drive I ordered was not in stock and suggested an alternative, which I approved. They also said they would cancel for some reason a USB SD card reader I had asked for...
On the 24th they said the case would not support an internal DVD and they would send ...

When I finally got through to someone he kept saying over and over again they had made a mistake but just expected me to wear the fact that their mistakes made over a few months was going to cost me months of waiting for a new card at the very lest let alone the money to get something to make the computer actually work. Offered absolutely nothing other than it was my fault because it was past a certain amount of time even though I had contacted them about it before the time he was talking about.
