The sleeves are so long it’s just ridiculous, and to get a tailor to re-do cuff cuts, buttons and details is expensive and hard. I bought my first two business shirts, and at the time you could choose sleeve length, and I chose my normal tailored length. When they arrived they were about 8 to 10 cm too long. Now a tailor measures from the back,… Read more
across the collar to the cuff and at no point was it possible to reach that measurement. I may have corresponded with them but in the end I think I just ate the financial cost because I’m in Australia and it seems like too much trouble to package everything and send it back. I’m pretty sure this is their business model.
Recently, I thought I’d give them another go because the linen shirts looked nice. I didn’t get to pick a sleeve length this time, but once again they sent me a shirt that would’ve worked better on a baboon. I’m currently throwing these shirts out as well. I feel conned and robbed.
These guys no less than zero about tailoring
Shopped at Charles Tyrwhitt for years and had planned to for years to come, however have recently discovered they offer me a highly inflated price compared to others they think might be a new customer. Hate this tactic and didn’t expect it from CT, will be shopping elsewhere in future.
Not what they were. I have attached a belt I purchased from CT 12 months ago. The leather they use is not naturally coloured or dyed - they lacquer on the colour. Yet charge AUD80 for the privilege. Shoes are the same. They used to pride themselves on selling Goodyear welted or Blake Stitched shoes - now it is cheaper leather (thinner) and… Read more
glued soles. And charging >AUD60 more for them.
Shirts? Too much fabric being used. Despite specifying sleeve length in the order the most recent shirts I ordered have so much excess fabric I'd need to have the tailored to fit properly. Kinda defeats the purpose of specifying measurements at ordering. Not to mention the collars curling after 3 months.

Charles Tyrwhytt sent me a brochure advertising $49.96 shirts. I went to the web site, no $49.96 shirts to be found. Most shirts around $100. And that turns out to be US dollars. So instead of $49 the shirts end up costing $155 Australian dollars. Quite a long way from $49. Plus the discount code didn't work. Just downright deceptive advertising… Read more
practices. And a waste of time beause Satan will be shovelling snow off his driveway before I buy one of their shirts now.
Unbelievably horrible. Unfortunately there isn't a no stars option – Got it as a gift 5 years ago, worst shirt I've ever had. Material so cheap and weak it is falling apart with big holes appearing. I have other designer brands over 30 years old still in excellent condition. Show details
Never again! – The photo shows a non iron shirt washed to the exact directions provided by the company. I can return the shirts, but the postage is my cost, albeit the product is not equivalent to the claims of not needing ironing. Show details
Falling apart after 3 weeks – Order my daughters school top as the school chose this company. They were late to arrive then after 3 weeks the top has pulls all over it. Send an email and they said I will not refund or replace as I have sold thousands of tops and no one has complained. Very bad customer service and I will be reporting this company. Show details

FANTASTIC shirts, and great service. I ordered three work shirts, and due to my lack of measuring skills I had to return them for a different size. It was the 'easiest' return that I have ever had to make via any company. No fuss, no messing around, straightforward and very professional. My new shirts arrived, great quality, great fit, happy me! :) Will order my shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt again, thanks. Show details
Just purchased for the first time with Charles Tyrwhitt, and honestly, I’m glad I gave them a shot. The shirt quality is top-notch — feels great and looks good. What really stood out, though, was how smooth the exchange process was which is always a nightmare with online retailers, specially for aussies buying overseas. I would highly recommend. Show details
Made my first purchase of business shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt recently - brilliant - huge selection and super value 3 for $135. Ordered online Friday night received delivered the following Wednesday. Superb quality shirts - haven’t bought a shirt with such quality in decades…. Absolutely delighted and I’ll be looking at buying more in the next few days. Show details

I came across this company 20 years ago, amazing shirts amazing service. My mother living in the UK bought a gift voucher for a relative here in Australia, she accidentally ordered it in US dollars instead of Australian dollars. Started speaking with customer service, cutting a very very long story short, I was dealing with five different… Read more
people, extremely long winded emails that are being cut and pasted, asking me to set up an account, sending new voucher in Aussi dollars, tried to use, unable to use, the trash show just went on and on, until I said please issue a refund immediately. A gift that became a headache and destroyed. Their customer service is absolutely appalling, this company has gone to the dogs, what a shame, will never use them again and never buy from them again.
Beware of the hidden extra "International Transaction Fees". The Charles Tyrwhitt Australian website "looks Australian" and advertises prices in Aussie Dollars but the financial processing is done overseas and Australian customers may be hit with an undisclosed "International Transaction Fee". I think it is deceptive of Charles Tyrwhitt not to declare on their Aussie website that processing is done overseas and will incur extra fees Show details

Really disappointed with the return and exchange process. I returned my item for a size exchange on May 6, and both the website and live chat clearly said the replacement would be shipped within 72 hours of the return being scanned. It’s now been over 7 days, and they still hadn’t shipped anything — not until I chased them up myself through live… Read more
chat.
Now the delivery is going to be late, and the worst part is I needed these clothes for a specific event — and thanks to the delay, they won’t arrive in time.
If you’re going to promise quick processing times, you should actually stick to it — or at least communicate delays to your customers.

A POCKET on a business shirt voids return – Watch their returns policy. They consider a pocket, A POCKET (when did a pocket make a shirt customised) customisation and voids their return policy. But don’t worry, they’ll offer to solve any other problems you might have as a Gen Me smug approach. Show details
My Go To Place – I have been purchasing CT shirts (non iron), belts, knitwear and socks for the last 5 years. My experience has been nothing but exceptional...not only quality of products, but also customer service. Show details
Fantastic service – Had an issue with a few shirts so returned them. This was extremely easy, the person on the webchat very helpful and authorised a return, provided all the details etc. That was on a Friday and by the following Friday I had received a full refund in my bank account and not even any return/delivery fee. The best experience I have had when needing to return an item. I would not hesitate to use this organisation again, fantastic service.
Charles Tyrwhitt is exceptional – I’ve been buying ALL my business shirts and suits from Charles Tyrwhitt for 10 years now, which I wear and wear hard as I have an active suit wearing day job and I would rate the quality, value, style and customer service 11/10 if I could. I simply cannot believe anyone reasonable would rate them otherwise, for 10 years now they’ve been… Read more
consistent, organised, helpful and for me in a service industry the benchmark on how to do exceptional customer service and care.
Deceptive and questionable illegal pricing – DO NOT BUY They offer pricing in advertisements such as $50 a shirt. Great. Put a bunch of stuff in my cart. My order total was $230. I put through my order and my card was charged $555. I triple checked, this was in the Australian website for the brand. They blatantly just lied about the price. Messaged their customer support and they were rude… Read more
and said I was wrong and that there wasn't any $50 shirt promotion. I replicated my cart and sent it to them and they just said "so what do you want to do"

These are not tailored shirts – I purchased two slim fit shirts for my partner. So disappointed. Looks so daggy, the sleeves are huge and baggy. There is no tailoring at the back, no darts or panels, just a huge flap at the back. I thought these were tailored shirts but they're not and they don't fit a standard type body. No good. Excellent Service and Quality – Over time I have bought 2 suits, a blazer, an overcoat, a number of shirts, a belt and shoes. Quality is great and fit is perfect. I ordered the wrong size shoes because is mistook US size for UK size, but return process was quick and easy (and no postage charge for an exchange). The clothing sizing is slightly different to Australia, so it's… Read more
necessary to measure sleeve length etc to get the correct shirt. Don't assume that because you are a 42 classic fit in Australia that is your size with CT. I generally receive the products within 2 weeks of the order.
Loss of sizing from the majority of the fleet – Awesome Shirt pity they dont make a vast size anymore. Super Slim gone Extra Slim - Size limitations, for example i use to get 38 Collar and 89 sleeve length, but they stopped making them. The call centre and online help where useless to help me find a suitable. As much as i love my current shirts i cant really go back to wearing CTShirts… Read more
without the correct sizing. I regret not buying more in my size and wish they would warn the customer before making these sizing changes.
Exceptionally Dissapointed.

Great products, look beautiful on – Outstanding purchase and products, polo shirts excellent quality, beautiful cut, very happy all around. A bit hard to find the pics of the reduced polos, but once I did was easy to order. I will be buying again, such great products, and cust serv although in London was good. Show details
Worst experience ever! – If I could give 0 stars, I would. I had ordered 4 shirts but the sizing was ridiculous, so I returned them for an alternative size, I was informed that one of the shirts had ran out so I received an eVoucher (I know ridiculous). I received 3 shirts back, again sizing wasn't right, I returned them again, this time I only received 2 shirts back with… Read more
bad sizing again. Anyway, I had given up and thought I would just keep them as even if I refund, i would get a voucher. I contacted them regarding the missing shirt and was informed it was refunded to my account without my knowledge, having checked my bank account and the transaction number they provided, there was nothing. They kept gas lighting me and saying it was refunded and claimed their system doesn't send emails regarding refunds so I won't find any. They basically robbed me of $70 and refuse to take accountability. At this rate, they are literally a scam company, please try to avoid and just stick with the likes of Myers (yes they are more costly but quality, sizing and customer service is levels above.)
Sizing is crazy – Size 43 collar and 86 sleeve could fit Andre the Giant. Gave those to a mate and went the next size down (usually a tighter fitting size by any other shirt maker) - well these were a new style of art smock. Good news is I've taken up finger painting - thanks CT.... never again.
Poor Quality – Bought a few items but they were of such a low quality material and the outfit was so outdated that I could not wear any of them. Straight to the Salvos. Show details
Great quality products at half the price of DJ/Myer – Ordered from CT twice (online order) , I bought 11 shirts and 1 belt so far, very quick delivery (8 days standard from UK during christmas/New year period). I find the quality of the business shirts really good In terms of materials you can choose from thick to thin material and they are really high quality. In terms of sizing I found… Read more
"Classic" too big (unless you have 'Beer Muscle'), Slim and ultra slim is just right. They do offer customisation for sleeve length which I found really good.
Best time to buy is during Sales event which happens very regular (20~50% off). Repeat customer also get 15 ~ 20% discount on top of the sale if you sign up for their email.
Great product and great service – Have ordered pants, belts and shirts here. English brand but ordered from Australia. My husband is slim fit but tall and all products have been excellent fit. they could only track it came to another state. Was able to confirm that it came well in time for Christmas and that my husband loved it.
Always Good – Have bought a variety of shirts over the years and never been disappointed. They do pretty good deals and I have found the quality as good as, if not better than many other leading brands. The website is easy to navigate and never had a problem with currency options. Show details
Very bad sizing – Bought 2 long sleeve shirts. Ordered medium but receivef much more like xlarge. Returned one because I tried washing the other and putting it in dryer but to no avail. I think buying shirts from this company online is far too risky. Show details
