damage. Eamon and his team, who packed the container, were very well skilled and carefully packed the container to minimize damage. Even the unpacking crew at the other end commented on how well the container and the boxes had been packed. The container had been swept out before our belongings were loaded, so that any screws or nuts and bolts that came loose in transit could easily be identified at the other end. Not a single thing was broken or seriously damaged - a first for us. The packers and movers were all punctual, courteous and polite and through their actions made us feel respected and that they were caring for our belongings - as if they were their own. I can’t thank the team enough for their professionalism. Moving really is an art, and these guys knew their stuff more than any I’ve came across before. Highly recommend!

If I could give less then zero I would..they threaten to remove neg reviews – Literally the worst experience we have ever had. We have been moved several times with my husbands job. This was not a new experience for us in terms of having a company pack us and move us. But, this was bar none the most ridiculous mess I have ever experienced. at our original address. They lied to the company about why. I have pictures proving this. I had to pay to have the items moved by someone else. Mind you, we had a video inspection before the move was done, so there were no surprises. They went room by room, cupboard by cupboard on video to make sure they knew what they were packing. They sent two men to pack that I don't believe have any idea knew what they were doing. One was busy texting on his phone and sitting in the truck. The other was packing items randomly from different rooms into boxes. Nothing was wrapped. So, most things were broken. All of my artwork, broken. They didn't wrap things together. Example, we have VRT equipment. They put the handsets in one box. We still haven't found the headset. When they packed this the equipment was all together. When they brought in my leather sectional they took off half of the legs. We still haven't found them. They aren't zipped up in the lounge. We have yet to find them anywhere.

When they go to the offloading address we had to pull apart a fence so they could get in. A fence that we had had Semi truck deliveries to for three weeks. Whilst they were there we had a truck with a 40 ft shipping container arrive and enter with no issue. However, the driver of this truck with a smaller container was unable to get his truck and trailer into the property without causing property damage.

Then they offload. They offload primarily into a shipping container as the house was still being remodeled. They did not follow the directions giving in the offload. They did not get done with the offload until 11 pm at night and then advised in a very intimidating way that I was to sign off period. They were upset. They said that they had another pack and move the next morning early just down the road from us and we felt intimidated. During this whole process we had been told we would have someone to call if there were issues. This was not the case. Because most of the issues occurred outside of this persons working hours.

We have lost heirlooms. We have lost furniture. Almost all of my glassware. There are no words at how upsetting it is when I open another box to find everything broken. or things just thrown in with no regard. What a [Content Removed] failure. The worst experience we have every had. I am so happy I will never have to deal with this company again and if there was any way I could rectify this and make them pay for the damage they have done, I would. They should be ashamed of themselves. And, should the mention that they disagree, I have the proof my friends, I have the emails, the pictures, and the text messages, so do not try me.

*****Four weeks ago I received a message telling me they would sue unless I remove this review. Sounds like someone really interested in providing great service isn it? Seems on brand for their intimidation techniques. [Name Removed], maybe work harder on being an ethical, good company and less on bad service. P.S. don’t threaten me. I don’t “do” threats. 2025 and we are still unpacking little nuggets of [Content Removed] frustration. We were doing a full gut on the house we moved yo, hence the slow unboxing nightmare. But just wanted to give the latest example.I have an expensive wrthrim canister vacuum. They removed the canister and have packed it somewhere. They also removed the lint canister on the side of the handle. No idea where it is.[Content Removed].

During a very trying time with floods and rail delays, Marcia and Leticia were a constant in keeping everything moving in a calm, supportive and professional manner, nothing was too much trouble. The guys doing the actual removal were excellent, however the communication from the office staff ; Lauren and Rebecca was very much in need of reviewing, i had to contact the primary contractor- transcorp to get things sorted.

I also had guitars, a lawnmower, whipper snippers, suitcase, tools, care and bike care products, a golf set worth over $4000 and more stolen. Chess moving Brisbane refused to accept responsibility for this, of course. Very disappointing, I'd DEFINITELY not recommend Chess Moving Brisbane. If you want a professional company who will take absolute care of your belongings then please find someone else.

Chess Moving – Clear timely communication. On time arrival. Friendly packers and Removalists. Packed 4 bedroom unit in 4hrs. Uplift 4hrs. Moving interstate. Stressful experience- missed a mattress and damage to washing machine and dining table – I booked Chess for moving my furniture and household goods from my 2 bedroom apartment in Brisbane to Devonport. Then one day when I called them to ask about when my goods would arrive, I was advised by [name removed] their admin staff that my goods had been sent but they had missed out sending two bed stands. Her attitude was extremely casual- no sorry, no explanation, just we missed two of your items and they are being sent later! When the items were delivered, I noticed that the washing machine and my dining table was damaged - the paint seems to have been scraped off roughly. A single mattress was also missing. When I inquired about my mattress, the company claimed that they never had the mattress and that they could not find it in the warehouse. To add insult to injury, although the delivery was not completed, their accounts team were hounding me with emails after emails to pay the entire amount although as per their terms, the final 25% was to be paid on delivery! It was as if they knew they had done wrong and expected me not to pay. I did pay them but I found the Accounts staff's attitude distasteful. Why offer customers the option of paying the final 25% at delivery when they obviously do not trust customers to pay at delivery?

The packers and those who helped to unpack in Tasmania were great though, but the company needs to get its processes correct- such as give a list to the customer as soon as the items are packed, show some empathy to customers who are trusting them with their possessions and improve their customer service

Communication was clear, prompt, and consistent from beginning to end, and the pricing was very reasonable. It was a genuine pleasure dealing with this company. A big shoutout to Marcia for her exceptional Customer Service.

Fabio and Matheus were fantastic with the drop-off and unpack of my move to Brisbane from Canberra. They were friendly, professional and made what is usually a stressful experience a breeze. Matt and his crew were great. Very professional and quick to load our container. Matt has fantastic tetris skill at packing all our assorted shaped boxes making great use of the space. Well done and we can easily recommend them to anyone.

Great experience – I’ve moved many times for both work and personal reasons. Today Tracey and Jackson from Chess Brisbane packed, inventoried and uplifted my belongings. They were friendly, efficient and professional. It was a little unusual as I live on an island so there were time constraints in order for them to meet the barge. Best removalist yet – Got an uplift of all my stuff the other day, and the removalists were polite and professional and said multiple times they like treating all the stuff they move as it was their own to reduce any chance of damage.
