Worst experience with click and collect. Advised via email my click and collect was ready when I got to the store 3 of the 4 items were missing and not available in the store. A week later I am still chasing them for a refund.

purchase a bag that was advertised with 20% off. But their website is completely broken — the checkout just loops endlessly, going round and round with no way to actually complete the purchase.

I contacted customer service, explained everything, and asked for help. Instead of actually doing anything useful, I was told the item had “probably sold out.” At the time I was trying to buy it, it was clearly still showing as available — no warnings, no low stock notice, nothing. Just another excuse.

I asked for escalation. I asked for someone to actually assist me. Instead, I got the same copy-paste responses over and over again — like they couldn’t care less. No ownership, no effort, no resolution.

The only thing they offered? Increasing the discount from 20% to 25%. Completely useless when I still couldn’t even get through checkout.

Honestly, it felt like they went out of their way to not help. Dismissive, unhelpful, and completely indifferent — even after I explained the situation and why this purchase actually meant something.

I will not be shopping with City Beach again. If this is how they treat customers trying to make a meaningful purchase, they can keep their products.

Back to school no deals, misleading – So, asked what the back to school deals were as a prominent sign for the deals under the shoe, first 2 staff said they had no idea, the manager came and said there were no deals they just put the items to front of store, great going Springfield City Beach, advertise deals when there are no deals, misleading much!

City Beach is a scam if you ever need to return anything. Purchased $180 worth of items online, we order often. One item was the incorrect size we paid $65 and paid the extra $3 for free returns. Return amount is $61 and when we took it in the store for an exchange the return amount would have been $41. Will not be shopping at City Beach again Show details

the cheapest courier in the industry. when i check my orders status city beach had cancelled it the day after i placed my order and couldn't get any clear answers until i raised a dispute through Paypal i will not be ordering from city beach ever again i would rather pay full price on a companies site for an item then have to deal with city beach again with there shipping Gopeople they are restricted from delivering to anything AUSPOST including aus post offices and P.O box, parcel boxes so please keep that in mind

Was it in stock? the online sale went through like it was but when i saw that they had cancelled the order the next day i dont know if it was and if they were chasing one. I have just received fantastic service at a very busy time of year from the manager at City Beach Booragoon. After picking up an order for my son, I realised I'd missed one item. The store manager was able to look at the CCTV and confirm the error and offered a refund. I am so pleased to receive great service, which took some time for the store to organise. It's wonderful to find honest, professional service from our bricks and mortar stores.

Purchased 2 bathing suits from city beach online and paid the extra fee at checkout that enables you to return the items for free should you change your mind or should they not fit (had a feeling they wouldn’t fit hence why I paid the fee). returns process via their website. On their returns page what comes up automatically is a ‘refundid’ returns box where you enter your details for an instant refund so I did that. Once processed I realised I’d been charged a return fee so I queried it as I’d paid that extra fee at checkout that enabled you to return items for free and I was then advised that ‘refundid’ is a third party company and there are fees involved however they could reverse the ‘refundid’ transaction and I could return the items through city beach’s own returns process for free to which I agreed. Once the ‘refundid’ transaction was reversed I realised I’d been charged a reversal fee so once again I queried that and was told that as a gesture of goodwill they would reimburse me the charged fee. City beach then received my returned items and only refunded me for one of the items so once again I queried that and they said the item was soiled. Pardon? I then rang them for further information and the lady I spoke to (bless her, I was annoyed and she was calm and lovely the whole conversation) said she would read through the transaction notes which she did and she then stated that their staff would usually attach photos to the notes when this kind of thing happens however there were no photos attached. Rather odd. She then explained she would look into it and email me back. Great! Lo and behold they email me back and they magically now have a photo of a soiled crotch on a bathing suit which is odd because I tried on 2 bathing suits one after the other with underwear on but only one was soiled. So now as they have stated that they weren’t told it was soiled when I opened the package upon receiving it (I didn’t even check upon opening it as I wouldn’t expect them to send me a filthy item) that they unfortunately can only assume that I’ve soiled it and they will be returning the item back to me - soiled. I feel like I’m being punk’d and it’s rather odd that the more expensive one of the 2 bathing suits is the one they are claiming is soiled and are refusing to refund me for. You best believe this is the last purchase I’m ever making from city beach, what a disgrace of a company.

So i left the inferior shirt with her. They got my money, i got nothing, not even a shirt to put on my back. City beach used to be a good store with a good return policy. As the world is turning greed is becoming the driving factor that is destroying all that is good. All i want was an adequate piece of cloth for my back, i did pay $50 dollars for it so it should be adequate. City Beach, i hope my donation of $50 serves you well. But alas the end of your operation will come in due time the more you treat customers with disrespect.

How on earth do I have to pay for a return in 2025? I ordered a pair of shoes, they haven’t even shipped yet it takes a whole week and they still want to charge me $10 to cancel/return it. How is this company not bankrupt already?

address because those in dispatch are incompetent and not checking the label against the order. My street number, City and postcode wasn't printed on the label but was correct on the confirmation email.

The points system they use for returning customers is useless as it comes up with an error every time so is pointless and unrewarding for those that spend good money.

I ordered a shirt from here. I opened it up out of the packet and took the tags off to wear (I already knew it would fit from trying it on in another store). After putting it on I realised it stank like urine. Do not buy from this store if you want to be valued as a customer. I bought a school bag for my daughter for the start of her first year of high school. The bag didn't last the term. 30 day warranty that applies to faulty items as well as change of mind. They didn't care that the bag had only been used within 30 days because the receipt purchase was earlier because I had purchased it before school started making it void the "warranty". I could not deal with any managers in store, instead I was directed to the "customer service" option which were just emails back and forth telling me to post the item to them at my own expense for review. I think their strategy is to just wear you down until you give up. They clearly don't care about customer retention and the fact that you can't leave reviews on their website on specific products should be a dead give away at how bad their products are.

Faulty item – Purchased a girls swimsuit, the outside faded from blue to completely white after 3 uses, the liner did not fade however. I have been refused exchange or refund based on their policy, apparently they don't cover fade from "environmental influences" for example sun and water.

Customer Service need real training! – Narellan store, NSW Staff have NO idea about their products in store ! in pants would fit. (XL is 42!). The long pants, smart casual shorts & Billabong board shorts were quite nice. They didnt fit & I returned two days later to the Narellan store & explained my situation to the blonde young girl at the counter, her reply to me was "we have a lot of young people here...." and was not happy. I couldn't believe that was her default and explained that while they are young, they need to be able to help customers in the store and know the basics. The clothing was scanned & they didnt come in larger sizes. Complete waste of my time! She became defensive, so I asked for a full refund - $200 your store lost.

Try on clothes before purchasing - I will never shop at City Beach again.
