required to run businesses when we needed internet, so we needed the most reliable and was prepared to pay. Went to cancel Clear Networks account and was told that they could reduce fee down to $120 a month- instead of the $200- with no changes to service or G usage. Goes to show how much they are making. Speak to accounts and REQUEST A PRICE MATCH with another service provider and see how you go.

Poor quality that only gets worse – Very poor quality reception that only got worse as time went on and there techs could only get temporary fixes into place for a day or so. had overused our data, we were told we would have to wait till beginning of the month for an upgrade to occur...... 18 days away. With SkyPLUS, there should be no data limit on computer usage - however, we could not use basic email services. Once we changed providers, all these issues disappeared.

Ridiculous – Have a problem for 3 months and keep counting, i paid the fastest plan on their plan. Supposed to get 50 mbps, but only get less 20 mpbs for the past 3 months, been calling and they said gonna call back! Never!! Not recommended to any one! Stay away from this this company! No complaints – I live in remote rural and use them as part of NBN satellite broadband. Nil issues and very reliable service. Speeds as good as they can be given it's via satellite. Haven't had to rely on their support though so can't comment on that. Show details

contract worth $5700 of which they have not fulfilled their side of the contract at all and we only used them for a couple of nightmarish months. Would give them negative stars if i could. Have never had such a terrible experience with a company in my entire life.

Worst ISP I've ever dealt with – I attempted to connect over a month ago. Clear have billed me for 2 months and are yet to provide a usable service. Originally when they said it was connected they had "assigned me the same IP as another customer", I was experiencing near 50% packet loss and it was pretty unusual to get google.com to load. a matter of hours, while my NTD was off. The connection behaves like it's still shaped (averages around 2mbit/s, often with 10% packet loss), but Clear claim there's no issue on their end. NBN have had a technician out to change over all active components at my end and are confident it's purely a RSP issue.

Their advertising is also extremely miss leading. Question every claim before signing up.

After 3.5 years I've had enough – The level of service has been adequate but support has been virtually non-existent. CN promises a response within 2 business days of queries to tech support. I've had no reply to about 4 requests. Also, email through the clearmail client is either blocked or diverted to SPAM by many cloud systems including gmail. So even email becomes an unreliable means of comms. I've never had a satisfactory response about this issue from CN. Show details

Service non existent – Was with clearnetworks for over 5 years, speeds was mediocre at best. Connection constantly dropping out, their tower was blown over by heavy winds 2019 winter, had no service for over 4 weeks. Their tech guy came out once their established a new transmeter and tested our service. Received phone call from tech support telling us their could no longer provide service! Sucks – I paid my Clear Networks a/c late because my card was crompromised. Guess What? They cut me off, not even a phone call. So I cancelled the a/c and went elsewhere then paid the arrears. But they kept billing me for no usage. I had a new a/c where my business was appreciated and Clear kept billing me??? Now it's going to Vic Magistrates Court because I wouldn't pay for the period I didn't have a connection. BEWARE Show details

home. Upon talking to tech support the speed jumped from 15-37mbps. This was okay for a few weeks before it started slowing again. Upon talking to Clear Networks again the speed jumped again back in to the 30s. Now checking on their website they say they don't even service my address for fixed wireless. I asked to cancel the contract as I wasn't receiving the service that was advertised and instead of agreeing they instead sent the typical 'it's not us, it's your router'. We have internet, it's actually your speed. It looks to me like they throttle speeds from our own experience and unless you're noisy you get less bandwidth. The latest email from my wife wasn't even replied to where she wasn't receiving any internet anymore. We're now using our phones as hotspot. Look for alternatives before choosing Clear Networks.

Worst provider ever – Constant drop outs, and slow speed we were offered at least 17mbs and are lucky to get 2. Made many contacts to support and told again and again they are working on it. Worst internet service and company I have dealt with – Never achieved the speeds purchased. Lucky to see 1 or 2 Mbps on a 25 Mbps plan. Continual dropouts. Support service was slow and useless, eventually suggesting best option was to terminate contract. Not a 21st century internet company or connection. Show details

NBN satellite 10% of advertised speed - slow customer service - avoid – Had nbn satellite with Clear for a while and put up with it but now had enough. Was on 5mb/s upload, never got over 600kb/s. switched to a !mb/s upload now its down to 60kb/s - hardly the future. Am switching to another provider as their technical support and customer support also very slow. A lot of effort to switch but have to do it, its unusable. s Show details

Fixed Wireless good, NBN atrocious! – I had the Clear's 25/5 fixed wireless for about 6 months. It was very stable. I've now switched to NBN HFC and regret it. Constant drop outs and pitifully slow speeds. I could be wrong, but suspect that Clear have just over subscribed customers. Show details

Wireless very average speeds – I have had their wireless service and I have to say it is way below what they promise. They say up to 6 Mbps and I get at many time less than 1 Mbps. They justify it as I download a large percentage of my quota but it takes hours and hours sometimes. I have no choice as no one else has an offering in my area so it is a monopoly and they exploit you due to this. If you can get another provider.  Show details

the Satellite service last year which I can't comment on but I can assure everyone that the Fixed Wireless service has been very stable and reliable. Customer support have been very friendly although I haven't needed to call them much. I did go over my data limit once and they talked me through buying a top-up on the spot for $5 which got me through that month. Very happy.

Watch Out! Worse Internet Connection! Worse Company! – Whatever is promoted on their website, is not true. Don't sign an agreement with them, be careful! lower than 4Mbps and continuous interruption, we were advised by their customer service to add more bandwidth and a backup internet connection that should kick in when we lose connection which was continuous.

The cost went up to 1,008.70 per month, and download speed remained 3 to 5 Mbps AND the backup internet never worked. We were hooked for more cost and we were told that we are not allowed to downsize it as well.

3 years with them, it was a FULL nightmare.

Just be aware, do not sign any agreement with them and check the cancellation conditions. They are not worse it.

They are thieves, ridiculous company. I am wondering if what they did is against the regulation.

The ombudsman was useless... they only make it easy to contact your ISP. Well.. so what? The ombudsman was a bit like ASIC which only prosecuted one or two cases of bank fraud in a two year period. Well, I did my own tabling of data used and what had disappeared. It was abundantly clear there was a bug in the system. Now, the NBN proved their lack of worth by suggesting that I contact my ISP to put in a request for an examination of the whole balls up. Of course, Clear weren't going to lose face and they refused any such offer. NBN also said it was incumbent on Clear to contact them... and that wasn't gonna happen .Incidentally, I had apparently used up to 35 GB in about 5 days... really? Also, PPOoE connections are notoriously prone to disconnection while using a computer. I gave up in despair and changed my ISP to another service. Almost instant connection when my computer is on and most usage in a month was about 50GB even though I was streaming Tidal in Master, lossless Hi Fi. Oh, frabjous day, calloo callay, he chortled in his joy.

but that never worked either. Worse company, worse connection, worse service. We cannot stop before the agreement ends. Unsatisfied customers, we are not getting what we paid for, just worthless!

It wasn't ADSL connection, it was a satellite connection. I don't know how to edit above. the ADSL was the backup connection that never worked.

Avoid at all costs! Or it will cost you! – On top of very unreliable bad service, customer support is the worst I have experienced with any ISP, they just dont care. At the very end they ended up charging me an additional 30 days of unused service, where any other ISP refunds you any unused portion of their service. I would sue but really I Have better things to occupy my time now. Consider any other option, I rarely write negative reviews this bad but well I feel robbed!  Show details

We are now on our 3rd week-long outage in recent months with no communication, advice, apology or any information whatsoever. Support are not aware of any outages until we inform them and they are not available at weekends (when it always breaks).
