Cruel treatment – Have just been to Clive Anthony Homemaker Castle Hill today. We purchased a Haeir dishwasher but couldn't bring home due to our car it won't fit. that we already paid. Just right on the same day & few hours the dishwasher unit was gone. They have looked everywhere in their store & docking area no where to find. We looked for the store manager but did not talk to us. The cashier suggested us for a refund. It was too much hassle on our part. Wasted all our time. And what they wanted us to do was a refund? We also have no choice but to agree since there was nothing we could collect from the store because through their computer no stock left. The dishwasher we purchased on the floor was sold to another customer. As shown on their computer there were two transactions of payment but only one dishwasher unit was available on the floor. Clearly it was given to someone else & took it. While for us who came back to the store, there was nothing left but to say their apology. Although we got a refund, my husband & I felt we were betrayed. We just thought Clive Anthony's store was reliable. But with what happened to us was cruel. We were very disappointed.

for customers after sale. I bought a $2500 coffee machine that I have a problem with. I rang the Tweed Heads store to get date of purchase as it was still under warantee. The staff was rude,kept on complaining how busy she was did not keep promise to ring back and then hung up on me on an invented pretext when I rang again.

IF IT IS NOT IN-STORE THEN DON'T BUY IT. Fairly good sale price, which makes you wonder about the %markup Clive Anthony seem to have trouble with store-to-store communication and loyalty. They put grabbing your money above all else.
Terrible – Buy from the store if you can take it with you, but not if you want a hassle free delivery - go somewhere else for better service - and a company who cares. delivered (it is a new house and only the builder has access) and Capital Transport (who they use) were very inflexible. I rang the store and spoke to [name censored] who told me he was trying to get in touch with the company and would ring me back. He rang back (after I had rung him to see what was happening) at 5.45pm and said he hadn't been able to get in touch with the delivery guy. He said he would ring back in the mornng and didn't. I rang the store and they assured me he would return my call. 4 hours later and I am still waiting for the call. VERY UNHAPPY, Jan!!!!!!!!!! But as with bigger stores, they won't care. I have more things to buy for the house, but will go to Harvey Norman and pay extra for hassle free.
Terrible – Buy from here if you can take the product with you and are not concerned about after sales service. I resent being lied to and will not be back. Terrible – Bought a LG TV with a bonus 22" TV available via redemption. Now I find out that the Clive Anthony store had been advised by LG that the promotion had ended one week before I bought the TV. The personal guarantee of the sales person that the redemption offer was still open is what you would expect on someone working on commission. Terrible – Bought digital camera December 2007. Camera developed problems in March 2008, but Clive Anthony's Mt Gravatt wouldn't help with warranty repair, even though camera was only 3 months old. No after sales service, at MtGravatt Qld store. even with a 3 month old camera. Wouldn't help with warranty repair - told us we had to contact manufacturer. (sales between xmas and new year). We received good advice, time and a great discount on both occasions we purchased items. The discount we received was better than advertised with extra products thrown in. Good Guys across the road couldn't even come close to this despite us having shopped there for years along with the extended family (usually deal with the same sales person on each occasion there). Had no trouble returnin a non-performing Kenwood mixer bought there either. Ordered products were arrived in store quickly too. People tend to spend a long time in the store when making major purchases such as new ovens, cooktops, dishwashers etc. Three things would be very helpful - a coffee machine, a water cooler and access to the internet to look up machine specs. Nothing else I can think of.

Good Guys and Harvey Norman. Most times they will beat prices, especially the Good Guys. I also find them to be quite helpful and there are alwys a lot of employees around the store to help out. Nothing negative to say about this store

Bad – very interesting to read other people`s feedback, paid full cost on LCD TV and delivery time kept blowing out, after three weeks complained and upgraded to HD LCD TV which was in stock, if they have stock do the deal if not see someone else or don`t paid deposit. Excellent – We bought an LG Washing Machine from Clive Anthonys and we're so happy. Firstly, their regular price for the same washer was $100 cheaper than the Myer stocktake sale price. warranty. They offered to see if they could deliver the next day, but we were busy so it was delivered the very next morning. We had 2 courtesy phone calls from them to arrange and confirm a delivery time and they delivered within the set time (between 9 and 10am). The delivery man was so friendly and helpful and installed the washer perfectly. Both the salesman and the delivery man knew the product and both gave us very helpful advice on how to use it, so once it was installed we were ready for our first load of washing, and they told us all about the $200 government rebate for water efficient washers which will make the washer even cheaper. Huge range of everything electronic with ultra-competitive prices. Excellent service. Sales people know their products. They do delivery, installation and removal of old electrical goods cheaply and offer cheaper extended warranties. Most stores located only around the Gold Coast, QLD. Doesn't have a very good web site.

Brisbane. Salesman told me that he would call me Mon, 11 Aug. No call, so again I called him, told that it would be there 12 Aug and that it would be delivered to me on Wed, 13 Aug (I told him he should deliver it because of all the inconvenience they had caused us). I rang again on 13 Aug to be told it is a public holiday in Brisbane and no delliveries today, I asked for the salesman to call me and advise so that I could at least come in and pay for it. Thur, 14 Aug I still had received no call from the salesman, so I rang the store manager, he was very patronising but did say they had received these in today and they would deliver it that night to me. All in all, if they had just phoned me and advised me of what was happening I would have been a happy customer. Courteousy of a phone call goes a long way to keeping your customers happy. So we signed up for a $1,140 camera plus a $170 spare battery. This was on a Saturday. Salesman told us it would be ordered on the Monday following and it would be instore for us to collect by Wednesday. We advised we'd collect it on the Thursday night. Tuesday came and we decided to call to make sure it had been ordered and were advised that they'd lost the order and they'd order it straight away but we'd probably have to wait til October 3rd (date of purchase was Sept 20) for it to arrive!! Told the salesman this was NOT acceptable and if he wasn't able to produce the goods he shouldn't have taken our money. They called back to say they could special order it from Sony and we'd have it by Friday (26 Sept). Called back on Wednesday 24th to say it's not good enough. As the customer they should be crawling all over us and offering us some sort of compo due to THEIR error. Salesman said he might be able to do a deal and offer us the next model up (which they have in stock) for not much more money but he'd have to speak to his manager first. This was 2pm on Wednesday 24th Sept. It is now 2:15pm Friday 26th Sept and he still hasn't called back. When we call we get told he's out and he'll call back and just now we were told it's his day off. How convenient!! This guy took our $1,310, gave us a battery and has now disappeared right along with our camera, which we were 100% ASSURED would be available for pick up TODAY!! We have spent many thousands of dollars with Clive Anthony in the past. We've bought video cameras, cameras, washing machine, fridge, air conditioner, microwave etc and never one issue. Clive will NEVER see another cent of my hard earned money!!!!

house in 2005 and 2 months before completion I ordered and paid upfront $11,000 for a microwave, dishwasher, fridge, plasma tv. I gave them an estimate on completion date and asked for the products to be ready a week before the delivery date(house completion). Over the next 2 months I received phone calls from the store stating all the production have arrived. I rang the store a week before, to inform/confirm the delivery date. I went to the store 3 days before the delivery date to purchase some more items and all was going well until then. I asked them to check the products and confirm the delivery. I was told by the sales person the fridge would be another 3 weeks. I told the salesperson that their store had rang me and confirmed the fridge was ready. Well I spoke to one of the manager and she said their policy is they only hold stock for 2 weeks and they sell and re-order. I asked the manager when were they going to tell me I had no fridge, manager had no answer. The problem was after they sold MY fridge(a quick sale at my expense), Westinghouse had a Australia wide shortage of my fridge and was going to take 3 weeks. You probably won't beleive me, but the neighbour across the road from our new house bought my fridge from that store 2 days earlier. Well I demanded a refund on the fridge and found the saame fridge in a Harvey Norman store at Aspley.

whether legally I can get my deposit back. I think I should be able to because they have not stuck to their end of the deal and I'm sure they knew it wouldn't be ready in two weeks. I told them that would be the most time I would wait. When I asked where the TV I was purchasing was in the floor stock, he told me it was sold. Well why didn't he offer me that? He didn't even give me an option. Not happy with dishonest selling practice and advising customers when items will REALLY be ready. Terrible – Personally, I will never shop at ANY of their stores again and will be encouraging all my mates to do the same Good for price, however pretty much on par with most other electrical retailers. Had a terrible customer service experience trying to return a faulty item at the Carseldine store.
Terrible – Horrible... no refunds, no replacements(on ELECTRONICS). Avoid like the plague, anywhere is a better place to shop than Clive Anthony's. Has some specialty products. After they take your money, they do not want to hear from you.
Excellent – Castle Hill store - Just bought a plasma TV from there on Sunday. They didn't have any in stock, but found three other stores with stock of that TV. an extra 10 minutes to finalise the sale, then took the product straight to my car without any complaining. The staff that had to stay back because of me were very friendly and curtious and nothing was too much trouble.
On top of all that, they beat Harvey Norman's pricing by $300. Will definitely go back again. GREAT prices, very negotiable especially when purchasing extras. Excellent service, friendly staff. Very decently priced extended warranty. Had to wait around for a little while until we got served, but the service was excellent after that.
