Don't do it! – I have been with ClubTelco for going on 4 years now. Over the past year, the connection speed has been getting slower and slower. I get better streaming speeds from using my mobile hotspot function! The icing on the cake was last week when I received a call from a very rude 'customer service' person demanding that I 'qualify' my identity over… Read more
the phone by answering my secret questions. I politely told them that I will call ClubTelco back myself, as I am not about to hand over personal information to someone who contacts me out of the blue! They did not like this. I called ClubTelco back, and it turns out they were genuinly trying to get hold of me. This equally rude customer service person was condescending, laughed then made a comment along the lines of "see? we were legitimate."
Turns out that the reason they were calling was to tell me that my direct debit had failed. I found this curious as I knew I had enough money in my account. They asked me to repeat my credit card details to them, which I did.
It now gets better because less than 48 hours later I get a call from my bank to report suspicious activitiy on my credit card. Several transactions were made to various online shops in the US, UK and across Asia. The bank then thankfully cancelled my card and organised my refund. I have little doubt that it was their rude customer service person who took down my details and had a little online shopping spree!
Be careful of these guys!!!! I have switched to Vodafone now. These muppets are never having my bank detail again.
Best ISP I've had in years – I had alot of trouble with previous ISP blisstel communication mess me around iinet and other major ISP are too expensive and care less about the customers, clubtelco have been amazing with everything, I've had 1 problem with then out of 3 years, and it was there fault and the manager at the time fixed it up straight away. Right now the NBN if… Read more
affecting my internet consistency but that has nothing to do with clubtelco. I get around 11mbs through my router which split it between everyone in the house so we all get between 3-4 mbs on any device, which was better than iinet.
The only fault is that they do not do NBN which is pretty much forcing me to change ISP but if they do start doing NBN services I'll be switching to them straight away.
Thanks clubtelco keeps up the amazing ISP
fruad – they are scam an bully's harassment phone calls over 11 month after we terminated and stop using them as a provider. taking full advantage of my Ill mother caused her grief an mental break down that lead her to be place in hospital. over charge each month of the minimum $230, even tho she was on $60 plan. was direct debt. aggressive an they… Read more
use the lawyer trick you into giving detail an they DO NOT STATE they are lawyer at the start..
they do not like being caught out an will falsely accuse you of not terminating the contract with clubtelco.

Positive reviews
Slow and overpriced annual membership – I am also not using the infinite membership, check it out a few times and all the offers though there, cannot represent real value. I find the money that they charge annually for that is very overpriced. Also, the speed where I am is quite slow, although better than Dodo. When my contract expires, I am not going to renew again, better service with Telstra. Show details
No problems – I have been with clubtelco for years. Never had any problems with internet access or lagging. The only downside is signing up to the Infinity membership each year that costs $60 which i can't access. Show details
Good budget provider – Been with them for years and honestly minimal problems. Our area only services by Telstra infrastructure so roughly knew what we'd get but never wanted to sign a contract (won't sign contract on principle). You pay for what you get but overall smooth with little issues Show details
Negative reviews
Very cheap, reliable and hassle-free but not the best speeds – The connection type I got is ADSL, the set-up process was very simple. The reliability of the connection is perfect, rarely ever dropping out. Show details
Slow connection – I signed up to this on an annual membership contract and I am counting the months until it is over. The speed is really bad, cannot get anything done at this speed. Unfortunately, I was not aware of product reviews when I first signed up, there are so many negative reviews here, I am writing this to do my best so that other people shop around and beware of Club Telco very slow speed. Ill-informed and unreasonable charges – I changed over to another provider on 5th May. Prior to this changeover date, I called ClubTelco TWICE to enquire about the pro-rata refund (on both the membership fee and and on service fee). In my second call, the operator even said "you've already called and asked about this". Nevertheless, I asked this operator TWICE to have it confirmed with… Read more
me that the cancellation will be the date of take-over, and not the date that I call up to cancel. Yet, when I called up to cancel on 14th May, the operator would not honour the 5th. After being challenged, he then pushed the date back to 10th (ie. charging me for an extra 5days of service that I didn't use).
ClubTelco has the culture of Easy-to-jump-on but hard to get off.
Not happy!
Not going to recommend to anyone for sure.

Slow, aggressive bill collectors – Literlly slower that broadband im talking .5 megabits a second slow Txt demanding bills be paid or service will be cutoff even though bill has already been paid, dont be fooled by low pricing service is terrible Show details
Overseas call centre. Agressive bill collection. Prices keep going up. Not recommended – Had my 1300 number diverted to my cell phone with them. Started at $15 fixed cost but after a couple of years I was getting bills of $35 per month. Phoned them up, and paid the bill 100% up to date and told them I was transferring the service to another company that provides same service for $10 per month. Told them under no circumstances did i… Read more
want anymore service, or another bill from them. This was agreed on the phone. They then bill me for another $15 which i refused to pay, and been chasing me up with call, and email threats. After 3 months of disagreements they charged the $15 to my credit card that i has used to pay my final bill over the phone without authorisation. Have disputed the bill with credit card company, and will make a compliant to Ombudsman. Service was ok other then the bills constantly going up without warning, but I would never use this company again for any service
Slow Installation – The quality of the service once connected is fine. But connecting the service can be a bit of a nightmare. However they do have good plans and it is very cheap. Show details

Cheap, but you get what you pay for – Connection is quiet reliable, customer service is obismal, technical support are a bunch of monkeys. Completely unprofessional, bad with timing, tell them to call at 5, they will call 10 times (no joke) in 2 hours. You get what you pay for. Show details
OK service, but they wouldn't terminate my account despite months of requests – This was a couple of years ago, but bear this in mind... I had been with Club Telco for a couple of years. I was not under any contract, never used any of their "loyalty" discounts (which really didn't appeal to me anyway), and one day I found a much better Internet deal with another provider. When you do this, don't do what I did which was to… Read more
request them to terminate the service. I did this over 6 months and they still would not
terminate the service! It ended up at the Telecommunications Ombudsman and, like all industry-based self-regulation schemes they did not
really penalise Club Telco according to the trail of email evidence, but just reduced my 6 months of bill by one month! Club Telco had even responded to my emails acknowledging that it would be terminated. Instead of doing what I did, choose a supplier that will do all of the hard yards for you in terms of transitioning to their service. Seriously, if it was a hotdog seller and you bought two hot dogs but they threw 20 at you would you really feel compelled to pay?
The thing is, they are quite happy to go to the Ombudsman instead of doing the right thing, even when it is quicker and easier for all concerned. So, don't expect them to back off just because you have done the right thing and have good evidence against them.
As for the service? It was OK, but nothing special. It could be extremely unreliable at times. Maybe things have improved with NBN, but it was fairly average with ADSL 2.
Fice years of problem free service – Had ADSL with them on the sunshine coast. Never really had a problem. Sign up was easy, service was reasonably fast and reliable. Can't really comment on the tech support side of things, as I never needed it. Had to disconnect due to DSL being discontinued where I live, and ClubTelco didn't offer an NBN plan where I live. Discontinuation was… Read more
easy and seamless. I was quite happy with them, and if it wasn't for the NBN rolling out, I would remain a customer.
Fair performance in bathurst – Been on an adsl2+ connection for five years in bathurst with them, rocky start with connection dropping randomly in the first year. I was told the problem was with telstra logistics. Definite service upgrade for the last 3 years, very rare connection drops, connection keeps up with 4k streaming without slowing or dropping. overseas call center with a heavy asian accent, were helpful every time although conversation demanded some serious listening skills.
Was great then they reactivated a sim card after I switched it supplier – Cl telco contacted me about a sim card and bill owing. I told then GO LEGAL, they dropped the bill except $50 which l won't pay. I have evidence someone else managed to reactivate Account. Show details
WORST internet service ever – Don't waste your time. I inherited this account from a flatmate who left the country. We were on a contract for $66.50 per month (unlimited data), but got billed a myriad of different amounts, which required overly long customer service each time to sort out. They seem to make up numbers out of nowhere. Also, customer service is based… Read more
overseas - and terribly rude. Completely condescending and unhelpful. In the midst of you explaining your situation (I received no invoices, only angry late text messages, which is another story) will tell you to (I quote here) "Stop! Stop! Listen to me!".
Heed my warning. Don't waste your time. I wasted mine.
Terrible – Been with them for over 4 years, now my connection is frequently getting disconnect and connected every so often. Just waiting on NBN to arrive so I can get this service off. Show details
Great adsl supplier – Throughout the past 4+ years I used these guys for home phone and ADSL2, with very few connection problems and reasonable support from an offshore call centre. I only sigbed up becaise there was no contract and ended up staying until today when i switched to the NBN. This is my only reason for leaving Show details
Pathetic rip off – I have just recently changed to another provider and now I have a home phone that works! After five years of the issue apparently been on my side of the fence, and paying for the damn thing, I'm thinking of seeking compensation for the money they continued to charge even though they knew the phone didn't work! to another provider! And don't get me started on the annual membership fee that provides nothing to the consumer and simply revenue for them! Would I recommend them, not in a lifetime! You want settlement on the damn bill, well, just for having caller ID! That straight up is in excess of thre hundred dollars! Not to mention the rest! Go to hell club telco! You are a rip off!

False charges! – I only use my account for WiFi, have one jack and don't own a landline telephone. Despite this, I received a bill for an extra $8.48 in calls, mainly 1300 numbers. calls (despite not owning a telephone) but credited my account for the calls as a 'One-off, not to be repeated courtesy'. Clearly their system IS fallible
Check your bill carefully.
ADSL 2+ speeds have dropped to unusable levels – Subscribe to ADSL 2+ plan in St Kilda and have been struggling to get 1 Mbps speeds in peak periods. Tonight I struggled to get 0.3 Mbps. After jumping through hoops for the last 3 months have been told it's a congestion problem. Seriously why pay a telco $70 a month plus a yearly fee for such a substandard service? Fix your infrastructure. Show details
Very slow internet not even down load email – My internet is very slow most the time,I will look for a new provider.i have enough of this company(now in using 4g to review clubbtelco. Show details
Don't pay for Nothing – Cost me a lot of money, purchased a new modem and found out nothing wrong with it just their connection woefully slow. Was having to tether to our Smartphones to get internet most of the time. Costing me a fortune, good riddance! Gone with Foxtel. now have fairly good internet. Show details
Do not buy their slow internet. You will regret it – Was alright until around a month ago I guess? Current download and upload speeds tested on speedtest.com. Download speed: 1.05Mbps. Upload speed: 0.23Mbps. And we all know that the 1Mbps is not going to be available for MOST of the content on the internet. The fastest I can actually download content currently is at approximately 0.3Mbps. DO NOT BUY THEIR SLOW INTERNET. YOU WILL REGRET IT. Show details
A former dissatisfied customer – I will never ever use club telco again.Ive experienced everything from being issued incorrect billing amounts to having very poor internet speeds and even no internet/phone service for weeks at a time. Show details
Slow speeds and bad customer service – Dial up speeds. On ADSL. Peak time has major lag for gaming and videos. Constant dropouts. Poor unprofessional support. It is cheap for a reason. Stay clear, not worth the trouble. Show details
Best internet provider i have ever had – Been with them for 4 years only had 1 problem and that was with Telstra node was fixed within a couple days. Customer service has aways been fast and polite. Would recommend them to anyone. If u read reviews of all internet companies u find bad ones. But i would not change a thing with my experience so far. Show details
They charge 50c per extra MB over on your data plan – For 1GB over, that's $500 extra! In comparison, Optus charge $10 per excess GB. I'll be moving to a different provider. They also don't have locks on excess data - that's how they survive, by ripping people off. Show details
