dissatisfaction, and frankly amazement, has not been helped by being told that a loan officer would call me back to discuss, which did not happen, and then having to wait between 30 - 45 minutes on a couple of different days to talk to someone. Looks like it is time to refinance with a more reputable organisation.

Poor customer service. The consultant need further training to understand they don't talk over the client. They don't provide written responses to clients about concerns raised. by the 5% interest rate. They did not proceed with the application simply because the funds were coming from another person's account. They never sought clarification. What a joke of a policy if ever it is a policy. Yes the funds are coming from another person account. Yes it is my money. Evidence and clarification can be provided. Simply going mute after collecting personal details which are sensitive. I cannot make a legal claim if your bank has a cyber security breach because i have nothing to prove I applied for an account. Just goes to show why the bank has remained so small. Cannot grow customer base with such ridiculous policies.

doing a debit payment. The service is second to none and being local I don't have to run to Tuggerah 20klms away, where all the other big banks are. Why did I start with Community Credit Union? Local, Excellent service, NO Queues, less fuel used, NO FEES on ATMS, Need I go on? Get this off the big banks? not likely! the process was prolonged, inefficient, and extremely frustrating, resulting in a significant waste of time.
Ultimately, we were advised that the trustee company was required to have its own ABN in order to open the account.
In over 20 years of professional experience, I have never been advised by a bank that a corporate trustee must hold an ABN in its own right. This position is incorrect. A trustee company cannot apply for, or hold, an ABN except in its capacity as trustee for the underlying trust or SMSF. It is not legally possible for a corporate trustee to obtain a separate ABN outside that capacity. This was explained during the process, yet every staff member we dealt with at Community First maintained the same incorrect view.
I am deeply concerned that staff without appropriate training or experience are being tasked with opening bank accounts for SMSFs. These matters require a basic understanding of trustee structures and superannuation compliance. In this instance, that standard was clearly not met.
This experience fell well short of an acceptable standard of service and reflects a concerning lack of technical competence in an area that requires it.

of times this last decade every time we've needed it. So, just last week I filled out an application for a Green Car Loan for a little electric hatch and got assigned Jamie to help me through the process. He was super helpful and really went the extra mile to make the loan possible. He actually spent quite a bit of time with me (thanks Jamie!!), really working to get us over the line with a commitment that's not too common nowadays. So patient. Seriously. Customer care++! Bottom line - I'd thoroughly recommend both Jamie (Cronulla branch, I think?) and Community First Credit Union for their great customer service combined with great financial products. Thanks guys!

Community First will not close my fully paid off credit card for 30 days, blocking the settlement of my home loan with Macquarie. In comparison, NAB took 48 hours and Westpac 20 minutes. Community First systems and processes have let me down terribly

What a waste of time. They should educate their staff to summarise the phone calls and streamline their processes to avoid wasting prospective customers time.

Deacon was a real pleasure to deal with when applying for our credit card, professional & dedicated. We were not happy with our existing Visa credit card which we had for over 25 years being managed by one of the big banks on behalf of our bank with overseas call centre people who can’t speak English properly. Most banks these days use apps for banking and for many matured people this can be very hard. I find using the community first app to be very easy for me to use so that’s very important to me. If there are any problems I’m only a call away and I’ve had to call once or twice and the staff have been very professional and helpful to me
