There is no way to contact Compass Pools, the pool manufacturer, themselves. Its one of those companies that deflects everything to the local agent regardless of of how poor the service is from the loacal agent. who has promised to get someone to call me about my urgent issue. Maybe they will get back to me, but in the meantime I need to keep the ball rolling urgently and I cant because Compass Pools hide behind an access wall when you need them. All the glowing reviews here are for the pool installers, not the pool manufacturer themselves, so just bear that in mind lest you encounter a problem like I have.

I'm in need of a part urgently for a pool installed in 2009. The local crowd are just a phone number and no one knowledgeable was available to assist when I called, although they have promised to get back to me. All good, its what happens.

(Edit: I got a response from the Townsville Compass Pools agent, email, not a phone call: "unfortunately she’s not sure where to get what you are after. She has suggested you go to a pool shop. Sorry we can’t be of assistance". To me this says we just cant be bothered, as I find it hard to believe that they suddenly have no idea where to get a part THEY supplied with the pool installation. If they dont know, ask, or refer me to, the manufacturer. Oh wait, the manufacturer wants nothing to do with clients as well).

My problem is time is of the essence as we have had to drain a substantial amount of water from the pool to access the lights (due to a faulty installation a long time ago resulting in a join in the cabling to the light which was shorting).

So in the meantime, I cannot get any simple tech support from the manufacturer who could tell me straight away whether the part is available or what I can use as a replacement. They should vet their local agents better too.

FYI. Our original installation ended up in QCAT and they were forced to make good, now this, so buyer beware.

unable to repair the valve due to Compass’s proprietary Hydrostatic Valve design, which differs significantly from the standard valve. The pool company is currently in communication with Compass to explore a solution. However, the prospects appear bleak, and this issue should not arise eight years after the pool’s installation.

Direct contact with Compass Pools has proven challenging, as the phone numbers remain unreachable.

To avoid similar issues, I strongly advise against purchasing a Compass Pool. The after-sales service provided by Compass Pools has been inadequate. Instead, opt for a reputable pool company that utilizes a standard industry Hydrostatic Valve.

Scott asked who did the instal of the pool, and if I could reach out and provide details to him as he works for compass. Scott was generous enough to put us in contact with his #1 sidekick, Johnnie.

Johnnie not only fixed the entire system, but provided excellent customer service, and provided a detailed understanding of the entire system and how it should be run.

Long story short, in the three years we've had the pool, it has been fantastic. The initial instal and our understanding of the system was terrible, but thankfully due to Compass reaching out on a whim, my faith has been completely restored knowing that customer service is a top priority of Compass.

Things to think about are the placement of the pool / SPA considering landscaping, fencing and aesthetics, where to place the filter equipment, and I would recommend that you have this on a plan before the install as there are electrical / earthing connections and council requirements for pump covers enclosures that need to be checked out. The self-cleaning comes at a cost but with the Viron connect the pool and spa virtually looks after itself and we can manage it on our iPhone. We have solar electricity and this keeps the running and heating costs very reasonable. We now have a resort feel at home and would not hesitate to recommend the compass pools and their teams from the beginning to the end. It is a big job but a very enjoyable investment. The infloor cleaning system has been a delightful bonus. The pool is always "swim ready". I also have the Evo i17 heat pump and have had many swimming days already, which is outstanding for early Nov in Melbourne.

Problem now is their primary franchisee is no longer with them so not sure how warranty will work in future.

Compass Pools are Good but after sales service of Fluidra is appalling- Compass you need to fire them! – Compass - you have great pools however you have teamed up with a real LEMON , the company Fluidra. It is the worst organisation I have ever had the mis pleasure of dealing with. Please fire them to give your product the credibility it deserves.

Still a fantastic pool – I had an issue with a crack appearing in the fibreglass pool after about 20 years. The crack was about 90mm long in a vertical direction roughly on the water line. expert from interstate to reinforce the area behind the crack and to fill the actual crack. They were really very helpful and I was grateful for their service. I am not sure whether or not it was an actual warranty issue but their attitude was more like how can we best help each other to solve the problem. I assisted the process by cutting the concrete from behind to expose the back of the pool for them. I would have no hesitation in recommending Compass pools.

First time pool owners – We have had our first Summer with the pool, surprisingly low maintenance as the self cleaning system does all the work for you, pool always looks crystal clear.
