Cool or Cosy

Amazing Job! – Very happy with the service from the team at Cool or Cosy. From Karen in the office assisting in booking a consultation and installation time that suited me, to Tony attending site promptly to discuss the product and provide a great value quote, to the installation team who showed up on time and did an amazing job installing high quality insulation. I highly recommend the friendly team at Cool or Cosy
Great job – The guys who came to install were so respectful and sweet. They had to move a very heavy table and I had scrambled to put all my potted plants out of the way. When I got home they had put the table and all of the plants carefully back where they had been. All clean and careful work.
Top up ceiling Insulation – Today I had ceiling insulation installed by operators, Tyler and Luke, they were a couple of young blokes with good communications, enthusiasm to do the job at hand and cleaned up after job completed. Prefect, thanks guys and Cool or Cosy.
dusty – since we live in Tasmania and had cool or cosy insulation put in in 1999-2000. It has definitely not lasted as guaranteed. Wind blows it around in the ceiling which causes dust to be everywhere all the time, but I'm not able and unsure who I'm meant to contact as it is based in S.A I guess the only thing left to do is have it removed from the ceiling it's very disappointing as it came with a lifetime warranty.
Amazing – I am truly amazed that not only is it a very effective insulation but when mice chewed through wires and started a fire in my roof the damage was limited because of the fire retardant properties of cool&cosy insulation. I am grateful, as not only would I have lost my house I could have lost my life. Thank you I absolutely recommend you to everyone
Not worth the trouble. Terrible customer service – My contract with Cool or Cosy came to an end only to find out, due to accounting errors to me and other customers I still owe hundreds of dollars. Still waiting on management to reply.
System hasn’t been working for 8 days. No reply – Had to ring cool or cosy twice was told passing it on. Still waiting to be contacted.solar analytics pffffttt right
PV Solar System – We're really happy with our Jinko solar panels and Solis Inverter, which we bought from Cool or Cosy (Solar Grid). They've been performing really well, reaching maximum output most days, even though we have lots of tall trees around the house. Tony's suggestion to put Optimizers on each panel really seems to have paid off, as this allows each… Read more
panel to maintain optimal performance independently of others that may be in shade. Liz and Tony provide great backup and have gotten back to me promptly when I have tried to contact them. They are both friendly, reliable and professional. I'm glad we chose their services.
Cool and cosy insulation – Had cool and cosy insulation put into my house with a ligetime warranty, but have found out now that this company had sold all of its rights to new people that dont do any warranty work for the company they took over from. ( same compamy name same logo ) these new people have bought all the rights Except their previous customers... This is real… Read more
strange... Need to have this insulation removed and replace but the new company dont honor any forms of previous warrantys. Is this due to the roof insulation being bombarded with chemicals??? And they dont want to expose their workers to these deadly poison's...so after i have to pay sombody else to do the work i will find a real company that can assist in insulation installation and uphold the warranties that are given...
Long Term Customers of Cool or Cosy Perth WA – PV Solar System since June 2011. Very pleased with the long term performance of the system that was recommended by Tony and the back up provided by Cool or Cosy. Liz and Tony have been very professional in providing on going liaison with advice and service throughout this time when needed! During this period we have received a net feed-in tariff… Read more
of 40 cents per unit (expires June 2021) and REBS of 7.135 cent per unit on going. Therefore we feel we have received value for money over this period.
System installed was 16 x Sunrise solartech panels model SR-M572190 with SMA Sunnyboy model SB-3000-TL 3kw Inverter. Cost in June 2011 was $12,000 but gained the rebates above so it was value for money from our point of view over the last 10 years.
roof insulated – Got roof insulated it was 32 inside before after it went down to 25.3 @ cost me under $1900 for 80sq m
Superior Solar service – Recently went through the process of getting quotes for Solar and battery for home use. From the Outset Cool or Cosy gained the required ticks as the only company that contacted and then visited the site to discuss our needs. Their quote although not the cheapest was highly detailed and fully explained with superior warranty. Once the quote was… Read more · 1
accepted the attention to grant applications was rapid and install was ahead of predicted. The install team was highly professional and not a scrap of, plastic or paper wrapping, electrical wiring offcuts, masonery drillings or other rubbish remained. After install a comprehensive handover was explained fully and the company has dealt rapidly with any queries.
Excellent system & seamless process from sales-design-installation-commissioning. You get what you pay for – Solar PV System & Installation. A thorough review of the market place was done & you can get a Chinese system for half the price, some even less. Shortlisted to 3 vendors, knocking out the ones selling a one size fits all Chinese system. Of the three quality systems, It was down to Aussie made Tindo panels and Korean panel based systems. The price… Read more
difference was $271. My key decision process:
1. South Australian made Tindo panels, supporting local jobs & economy when we need it most, especially with the Chinese banning Aussie goods. 2. Best in industry warranties on panels & inverter. (Double of most other products) 3. I had shading requirements & I provided hourly shading information during the winter solstice. The panel layout was designed to accommodate this. Cool or Cosy undertook an initial site inspection prior to designing the system & have an in-house Engineer to check the design. The cheaper vendors weren’t interested in visiting site until the install day, using satellite imagery only to design the system.
Installation and commissioning took a day and system was processed by the electricity retailer a few days later - all organised by Cool or Cosy. Cool or Cosy used in-house staff for installation so there was clear internal communication throughout the process.
If you can afford it, I think it’s worth paying for a premium system. In particular: • If you don’t intend on moving house. Roof was refurbished before the solar installed with that in mind. • If you want to support local jobs & economy. • You don’t want to risk an underperforming system with no support.

Great staff and products – Could not be happier. Nothing was too much trouble, very helpful, answered all my annoying questions and great in-house tradesmen
Top company – What can one say , it's a great company, top sales people and staff , very polite and not pushy. We bought a 28 panel system , 2 x 5kw invertors and a 13.5 kw battery, The installation went very smoothly and the installers where the best , very friendly and polite . To sum this up we have a great system , running full ducted for nothing and… Read more

Our lives changed big time once we got a battery – Thankyou so much Cool or Cosy for installing our battery.Best thing we ever did.Bills have gone from approx $1,000 per quart to $38. We highly recommend this company ,again thankyou.
Could not be happier-THANK YOU – I have written to Cool or Cosy and thanked them for the job they did installing my battery system and I have no hesitation in repeating my thanks in the public domain. Professional, helpful, courteous and a far cry from the experience I have had with too many other companies. Thanks again to all those involved. Show reply
Fantastic from start to finish – I would have no hesitation in recommending Cool or Cosy. The whole process has been so effortless from the start. The team that installed my system were very professional and did a fantastic job. Show reply
Life changing! – From EOI to install was quick, easy, and informative ! Can not recommend this company enough... and I do! To anyone who will listen. My bills have gone from over $2000 to under $400 in 8 months! What is not to love! ? Show reply
Not good – We have had our solar panels for nearly a year and although we were promised we would have either a very small power bill or none at all our power bill has been just the same. There was so much trouble with the installation and they had to come back twice because it just wasn't working and I was blatantly lied to about what the problem was and it… Read more
was going to cost another $2000 to fix it. Fortunately I got advice from someone else and found it was actually a problem they had caused but wouldn't admit to and that I could fix it myself for a quarter of the cost. Very unhappy with their customer service, their installation and their lies and blatant over-pricing. I would never deal with them again.

Really Happy – I purchased a solar system from Cool or Cosy a few months ago and I cannot fault the process. The sales person was knowledgeable and wasn't pushy at all. Installation happened on time and went smoothly. I enjoy watching my solar production everyday on the monitoring app and I know the system is working well. Service, Honest Advice
The quote from Cool or Cosy was fair with no hidden costs. Installation completed in one day, no issues and working efficiently!
The team did a fantastic job and met my specific requirements.
Best quoting process Received a detailed and prompt quote. The sales person made sure they really understood my needs & gave me a solution that will last me years rather than simply matching other quotes.
After Sales service even better than expected – We had our Solar System installed by Cool or Cosy. They had also done our insulation a few years prior. Around 6 years later we got a big power bill, and dicovered our inverter had failed. Cool or Cosy came out the next day, and 2 days later a new inverter was installed. Lucky we didnt use a fly by night company. Great SA company that has been around forever, a warranty is worthless if the company has gone. Show reply
Great product and service – My husband and I had a Solar and Battery system installed by Cool or Cosy recently. The salesman was great (Lionel) and very knowledgeable and lovely. The system was installed very promptly and the installers were great. Answered more questions and very neat and tidy. All working now and we can see the money we are saving already. The monitoring portal is easy and last week we were 88% self reliant for our power! Show reply
No After Sales service or maintenance – I had my Solar System installed in 2011 with a 10yr warranty. I had been happy up until last week when I noticed it was not working. I went to press the fault light and the system came off the wall all but the bottom 3 bolts. Dodgy install as it hasn't been touched since it was installed and is in a safe place. Rang for assistance and said it is… Read more
urgent as I was worried it would fall right off the wall. I was told an Urgent service call would be lodged and someone would ring me, however normal service calls you have to allow 48hrs! No call, so rang the next day and asked again for assistance. Put through to service and was told installation was out of warranty and I pointed out the unit was not working and was told it was only warrantied for 5yrs. I said my contract clearly says 10yrs. Told no one was available due to long weekend but someone would call me that day to arrange a time for next week. No call!! I expect I will have to make a 3rd call next week. I am very disappointed as up and until then I had been quite happy and had recommended them to a few people as my installation went really well. Shame they don't value return customers and ensure they look after them as a priority at least until the warranty expires!
No customer service – Good product, but our experience is that you won't receive any customer service from this company. Had to follow up the company many times to get an install booked (should have been a warning sign) and now trying to book a service call, and they won't even return our call! Should have purchased from another company.
It is now 5 months after we have had the panels installed and we are still waiting for it to be turn – I am so disappointed with this company it is the worst service I have ever received for anything I have ever bought. It is now 5 months after we have had the panels installed and we are still waiting for it to be turn.
Rip off – Have been ripped off paid a deposit and bank foreclosed on me. This rip off company will not refund my deposit.
No service – After getting a solar hot water system installed by cool or cosy a few months later I could smell melting rubber. I noticed that the pipe installation had melted with the summer heat so I called Cool Or Cosy who said that the wrong installation had been installed on the pipes and would arranged someone to come over and refit the installation. A… Read more
few months later I went into the roof to install some Pink Bats and noticed that the new installation on the pipes had melted again.
I also noticed that the pipe work going to the Solar system was just hanging inside the roof without any attachments or supports.
After checking the building standards I discovered that all hot water pipe work should be fitted as neatly as possible attached to the frame work without any sagging. Failure to do this right could result in pipes breaking, air getting into them and causing the pipes to rattle, bang and make noise.
I have since tried to call Cool or Cosy many times have left emails but never hear back from them.
What can I do next? Any suggestions?
