Country Blinds Curtains and Doors

Decided to get Country Blinds to give a quote for mechanised blind, shutter blinds and possibly another blind for the Laundry even though previously they have thrown out a blind I was having repaired. I went to the Unley store to get a quote on two interior blinds. Not long after I arrived, another couple turned up - and the consultant who spoke to me, greeted them. attended our premises to provide an onsite quote. She came fully loaded with all the swatches for the plantation shutters and roller blinds, and demonstrated how the shutters work and operated. There were quite a few different plantation shutter styles, of which she carted to our premises. Being able to see and feel the products and placed them against the windows in our house made selecting the styles so much easier. Aleasha was knowledgable on the suitable products and great with colour schemes, as well as recommending the suitable type of shade for the windows, doors and outdoor blinds. She didn't push for the most expensive but rather, what was suitable for our needs, as well as ensuring that we kept within our budget. I would definitely recommend Aleasha to my family and friends. Another company we submitted a request for a quote asked us to go to their premises rather than attending ours whilst one other did not even respond.

The plantation shutters looked great and worked a treat, as were the indoor and outdoor roller blinds. Loved them.

Unfortunately, one of our outdoor blinds failed to retract and Courtney from Country Blinds was helpful with her advice, and she arranged for a team to attend to our issue. A spring in the outdoor blinds was faulty and it was replaced with no fuss. Having a five year warranty on their products gave us a peace of mind, and having already submitted a warranty claim and the ease of the process gave me confidence moving forward. Very happy with the service and products.

Disappointed - damage caused to existing zip track – It was important to us to use a local family company to replace existing blinds. We spent considerable amount of money to replace with zip track blinds. We were pleased with the service and quality at that stage so organised to alter the bottom track to existing zip tracks on a further 3 blinds for ease of use. I noticed staff were having… Read more

difficulty with removing the track of one in particular and there was brief discussion amongst themselves and work continued to remove the track. Work was completed and staff explained how to operate the new track. It wasn’t until a few days later I noticed part of the side seam (tape) about 5cm was now not attached to the blind. This was definitely not the case before the bottom track had been replaced. Our concerns of damage were raised and photos submitted, we were informed that there would be a cost to us to have this fixed as the blind needed to be removed taken away and re-adhered. After spending over $7,000 we were gobsmacked that the damaged caused by their work was now going to cost us. We don’t believe we should incur this cost. The repair is now minimal however if not fixed will continue to deteriorate and the blind will not be useable. After spending 40 years in customer service in a family business this is not how to treat customers especially when they are not at fault. Sometimes accidents or damage happen but it should not be ignored, impact the customer or affect the now faulty blind. Since declining to pay for repairs we have not heard back from Country blinds. Clearly they are not interested in the best outcome for their customers. This has been a disappointing outcome for what was initially a good experience until something went wrong. We would like this resolved so we can put this behind us and give you the opportunity to do the right thing. Helen

not with the blinds or the installation, it’s the fact that the guys who installed had music going in the driveway, and that made me a little tense as I hoped it wasn’t annoying the neighbours. They’re probably used to working where people aren’t home most of the time.

And one other thing, I’d hoped for two remotes, since we bought two blinds, so I could operate them together or separately from each room, but that’s really only me being lazy. The remote does work for one or both, but I’d just like a remote from each room. That’s a minor thing though. And again, it’s just me not wanting to get up. As I said though, all in all very happy with the blinds, and the whole experience. Every experience from phone to consultant, to installers was really faultless. Communication via email was also really good. Thanks for a job well done. It really is hard to find good help, I know that from a recent bathroom reno, so thanks for your professionalism, Country.

The installation took two months to get my curtains something like correct.I had to deal with a different curtain fitter on four occasions and while they were great to deal with the product sewing and quality control was shocking.Some curtains were too long ,too short ,covered with lint and wrinkled.I used this company for about 30 years on four… Read more

different houses and have not had any problems until now.We paid a premium price for a very poorly manufactured item and I would recommend that you stay away from this company.The company has had a go at fixing the problems without great success.I still have hope but fading fast ,it should not be this difficult.As an update we have finally have got the curtains looking great and while this has taken some time I must commend Country blinds and curtains for going the extra yard to fix the problems.

New cord now starting to fray as well, not happy – Spent thousands of dollars on verticals, plantation shutters & roller shutters there were problems with all installations, they were called back many times. Cord on roller shutter only lasted 18 mths refusing to honour any warranty on the part & want to charge $150 service fee, good customer service, I don’t think so. I thought problem was rectified with a new cord at no cost to me. But new cord odd now starting to do the same thing. Show details

Dont use Country Blinds !!! – Had nothing but problems with the blinds, called servicemen out many times for problems that should not have happened at all ! Problems supposedly fixed until the next time. Terrible experience – The installer arrived at 1pm, when my booking was for the 9-11 timeslot. One of the pelmets was badly damaged and the curtains were all hung too low and hanging on the carpet. All had to be fixed on 2 further appointments. When installers returned to move the pelmets, they damaged a door. This was filled in with spakfiller along with the one of… Read more
