Bought the blockout curtains with the thermal backing from Bundall, Qld, which we are using in 3 bedrooms. The blockout coating after a few months turns to dust and leaves debris all over the floor and window sills. We got them replaced under warranty but then they only give you the same thing so a year on, the 2nd lot disintegrated as well. So after the $$$$ in expense only a couple of years use out of them and they're in the bin.

makeing the room dark. The curtains were installed and of course the hem of the curtains were nowhere near the ceiling so they were not blockout because light was coming in. Also the curtains were not evenly reaching the floor. My wife didn't want to make a fuss about the blockout curtains not being blockout because we needed curtains and it would have been a complete rejection of the whole setup with more wait time. But we did complain about the gaps at the floor. The rep at CW tried to palm us off to the installer but we said no no we arranged for this though you so you can fix it by contacting whoever you need to. The floor issue was resolved but to this day I feel it was a waste of money because it is not what we were expecting or paid for. So I would not recommend.
Follow-up · followup - We only complained about the installation issue and had them arrange the fix rather than what they initially wanted which was for us to contact the installer directly. Curtain Wonderland never checked with us on how the fix went or wethwer we were happy. I would go elsewhere next time. Fabric quality was good but customer service was nil.

covered the corners with dirty corner pieces of plastic, left big gaps to the wall and supported one part of pelmets with a little piece of wood. (As they cut out wrongly). 2) One curtain cannot even be pulled back, stuck in the middle. Curtain Wonderland can’t even hang up a curtain 3) Smashed glass top of bedside table. Not repaired, after all this time.
4) Broke lamp. Not repaired, not returned. 5) Ripped existing curtain. Not repaired.
We sent email the same day and complained. This is now nearly 3 months ago. Words, promises, appointments when no one showed up.
Stay away from that company by all means. We will now take this to Fair Trading.
Follow-up · After repeated promises and a 4th no-show we involved Fair Trading Qld. Now we have the glass top and the bedside table lamp back and repaired and the office curtain hung correctly (we can now pull it back, hurray!). of 3mm. When you have an issue there is no one in Australia Head Office in Queensland that can make a decision as higher management are based in China where they have their factory. No empathy, or interest in resolving issues, just constant procrastinating. EXCESSIVE DELAYS. I have experienced significant delays, to date Curtain Wonderland have not provided me with the curtains I ordered originally in October 2023 ! the first curtains had an alarming sickly smell caused by the blockout coating on the back of the curtains, I asked for advice as to how I could eliminate just ignored . so I returned them to store and continued to be ignored and refused to do anything for months so stressed no curtains. No refund until they finally agreed a credit note. I went into the Helensvale store to select my fabric, I must highlight that the ladies working in the local retail stores are helpful, but sadly this is where it stops. Curtain Wonderland Staff in Australia have no authority to make decisions they in turn have to contact higher management who are based in China causing long delays. 13 months since I placed this order..I’m still waiting for my replacement curtains . I have had no update on them since the curtains were taken away for alterations in November 2024. MEASUREMENT SPECIFICATION. Despite this time , paying an extra fee of $90 for an additional curtain technician for measurement accuracy errors cropped up. Firstly, I noticed on my quote curtain runners stated 33 an odd and uneven split)16 on one side 17 on the other) that made no sense for a pair of curtains? When I flagged up this error I was told no adjustment can be made. Only later to be informed that the runner count was “amended “ to 40 runners with no clear explanation. When the curtains arrived when hung up they were far too short way off the floor as shown in my photos. My curtains are directly ceiling height so no adjustment there can be made to drop as this is the style of the room. My Curtain Wonderland contract clearly stated “Zero Ground tolerance “ and this was made very clear by me from the first point of contact and subsequent visits. So I was very disappointed how this could happen. A 3rd technician was arranged to visit and check the curtains and measurements, he confirmed too short, he said this was a manufacturing fault with their factory in China. The curtains would be remade in China and would take another 6 weeks. The replacement curtains arrived in November but this time to my dismay the reverse pleats had been made incorrectly, now also with less curtain runners reduced to just 30, so did not flow as well as the previous supplied short curtains. I was told by the fitter on site after he made a call to H/O that yes they had made a mistake so the reverse pleats would be altered to match my original order and that it would take just 2 weeks as this time the curtains did not need to be sent back to China. Alterations would be completed in Brisbane. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. After 2 weeks had passed I hadn’t heard anything where were my curtains? so I tried to call Curtain Wonderland H/O and sent emails no response until later in December 2024. CUSTOMER SERVICE REACHED A NEW LOW when I received an email from a Curtain Wonderland:Kresta employee. who mistakenly included me in an internal email thread where baseless assumptions were made about my role in the issues. This incident not only exposed his employee’s incompetence but underscored a systemic problem with the accountability and professionalism in Curtain Wonderland. More documents I have if needed will legally support my claim as to how rude this employee actually is. Unacceptable and not tolerated. UPDATE MAY 2025. I have sent regular emails since December Radio Silence … until February I finally managed to speak to another lady at H/O who was refreshingly apologetic for all the delays and inconvenience this experience has caused me. She told me she would investigate and respond with an update, but sadly 3 weeks passed I heard nothing. I finally managed to speak to her again early March she gave me the same apologetic response and seemed to have no recollection of our previous conversation, so I’m assuming she put no notes in their system. She just advised me this time to contact Customer Services which is their office! I have tried unsuccessfully to get a contact for the CEO all email /phone numbers for him are invalid and HO in QLd claim they have no contact details for him either under Curtain Wonderland or Kresta which are both owned by the same businessman. It’s time consuming, stressful and has caused me unnecessary anxiety and personal cost to replace. Curtain Wonderland Customer Contract states “Goods come with a guarantee that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund “ neither have been forthcoming. UPDATE MAY 8 2025. I have been in touch with reception who have tried twice in April to get a response for me, without success.. The Short Curtains supplied are not fit for the purpose. I have exhausted all avenues. I’m now following the conditions under the warranty to instigate a return for a full refund as advised but even the store apparently cannot get a response from Head Office as to the procedure to now make the return and refund. I will update the outcome and hope Curtain Wonderland do the right thing and actually honour their Customer warranty. UPDATE JUNE 2025 Blatant that no actual refund will be given. I actually placed the first order on 17/10/2023 18 months without the curtains another saga but this complaint is based on the second order. I just wanted now a full refund but CW were adamant they will not refund they will again remake and offer compensation but all I’m offered is a store credit not in my favour at all as I have no use for it . I already overpaid them by $302 on the second order. So it doesn’t even cover that. Although the lady I’m now dealing with is sympathetic to all the setbacks I have endured she can’t help me. My replacement curtains are expected next week. As Curtain Wonderland are refusing to give me any monetary refund for the sheer lack of accountability and time nearly 2 years without the curtains I ordered in good faith creating unnecessary stress and a good portion of my personal time just to achieve what I rightly paid for. JULY 2025 I lodged my complaint with The Office of Fair Trading. Finally a reaction from Curtain Wonderland they then insisted they send out another technician to measure and remake the curtains and get them made by express. This guy seemed very knowledgeable and returned to check and fit the curtains , this time were made correctly, but Curtain Wonderland have refused to even refund or compensate the extra I paid instead fobbing me off with a credit voucher which is useless to me but they know also that The Office Of Fair Trading cannot enforce them to do anything though OFT can advise on further legal action this will likely be further costs so hence why Curtain Wonderland do not care. Who has the time? it’s soo stressful It has taken me 2 years to get the curtains I ordered. The worst company by far I have ever had to deal with. My advice always read reviews on various sites some are not what they appear to be. Don’t be fooled by company Jargon. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Curtain Wonderland/ Kresta based on my very unfortunate experience.

Fourteen weeks later and more than six visits by the installers I was advised that unless I purchased a track from them, they would not be able to complete the job (This was going to cost me an extra $200). "MONEY UP FRONT" My first phone call from head office was WHY did I send the curtain installers away? my reply was "I didn't send them away", I was told the job couldn't be completed due to incorrect track fittings that were ordered. New fittings arrived and they returned to finished the job however after completion, the bay window curtain was overhanging by 2 plus inches "60mm" on the right side (looked terrible). They returned a couple more times to try and rectify it, but it was quite obvious they had no idea on how to fix it. I tried to tell them to replace my old curtain track that they removed and place it in the front of the new curtain they had fitted and this would fix the problem, but they refused to do this and insisted that I was to purchase another track "MONEY UP FRONT" and this would fix the problem. I refused to pay any more money. After the curtain fitters left, I decided to go through with what I thought would work and sure enough it did. I've had NO experience in curtain fitting however within 15 minutes of them leaving for the final time "job done". NO PROBLEMS Shame on you Curtain Wonderland. P.S. Tell your sales reps to empty their phone mailbox or maybe that another excuse not to receive customer complaints. Terrible service.

had curtains since we’ve purchased the house in 2005, and this is the most trouble I’ve ever had with curtains. The original ones lasted over 15 years. I won’t be going back to Curtain Wonderland again. I will go back to where our original curtains were made and pay extra to have them last. These curtains were only 1 year old. They were on sale, and if I have to replace curtains every year, it works out much more expensive. They will not get any more money from me.

Studio Blinds are Rubbish – Brought 2 Studio Blinds Smooth: colour white and 63mm slats for Main Bedroom. 2 x 1.5mts w x 2.25 deep (shorten to 1.8 mts). I took them down to look at the mechanism. Straight away I saw a plastic bit that had broken off. I could also see where the cords had crossed over because of it. I have only opened and closed them slightly over the 2 yrs 2 months. Raised them, supported, a few times to clean the windows. No hard use. Unfortunately they only had a 2 yr warranty so couldn't return them. Plus it turned out Curtain Wonderland has no spare parts for them. Now trying to look for parts for it, but chances don't look good. So don't buy deep Blinds from Curtain Wonderland. They use the same mechanism as the small blinds and cannot handle the heavier blinds. Pay the extra for good quality ones from reputable Brands. Just check they have parts incase something happens down the track.
