unit itself is a little bulky and sticks out a fair bit but for a quality unit its worth it. Ive seen cheaper unknown brands with smaller head units but i trust dakin as being a good brand.

the unit. It keeps my living room toasty warm and because I live in a townhouse the heat goes up the stairs warming the landing area as well. I never have to set above 22 degrees. The best thing was the energy consumption. My power bill was way down on previous winters. I am looking forward to using the unit for cooling during the summer.The unit is very easy to use. Very quiet – It's extremely quiet from both inside and outside my room where it's installed. It's my 3rd Daikin a/c, one in the lounge and another in another bedroom. They all run perfectly. I deferred installation during hot 40c+ weather, so Delmar could install units in homes with "no" (mine was still working) air con. Changed my life – I love my Daikin air conditioner. I live in an apartment so it was very important that the outside unit be very quiet as well as the inside unit. The outside unit sits on my balcony and not one neighbour has been able to hear it. It was installed by Ben Rafferty Air and they were supremely professional. Can't live without – Having just had this unit installed, it is working perfectly and coping brilliantly with 44 degrees over the last 4 days. Big disappointment – I have a 6.5 star rated energy saving home with insulated roofline. Bought 3 Daikin units, each 4 years old now. Good cooling capacity although not icy cold, however living in Gippsland that didn't worry me. Heating was ok to start but is now so poor I need extra floor heaters to keep warm. selected temperature, they level out at around 20 degrees. Sensors were turned off but didn't help. Energy costs are high and I'm still cold. Will never recommend split systems - cooling only from now on.

Super super quiet! Perfect! – The FTXS25K is the perfect size for my bedroom. It has hardly made any difference to my electricity bill and i can hardly hear it at all. Quiet, energy efficient!
