Poor Quality – What a dissapointment! After thoroughly reviewing air conditioners before purchasing a Daikin. The air conditioner lasted 6 years, just enough to get over the warranty line. Customer service could not get off the phone quick enough when I called them about it. Never again Daikin. Seriously bad product and bad service! Show details
Good buy – It's a good air conditioner. Got this at the beginning of this year. Mounted in the lounge area. Not noisy. Smooth air conditioner. Reasonable for price and value for money. Inverter air conditioner works well for winter too. We are happy with our air conditioner and will recommend it from our experience. Show details
Awesome! – Previous to the Daikin split system, which we now have in 7 rooms in our place, we used a combination of hydronic and ducted has heating and evaporative cooler. While hydronic in-slab is healthy choice, it is impossible to use on cold snap mornings during spring (just like we experience now in Melbourne). Daikin split system purifies air, copes… Read more
very well with the extreme heat and everyone at home can regulate temperature in different rooms in the house to their liking.
Daikin have saved us loads of money and cools super well – We bought this below the cost of other brands so very happy about that. The install cost was a bit out there but now we have the air con it was great over last summer and this winter we used it to heat up two rooms adjacent to another. The remote is large and very easy to operate. Show details
Very effective and non intrusive – The unit is very efficient at heating and cooling. It seems to heat/cool until the temperature is at what it has been set at and then switch off for a bit, then turn back on. It’s not too loud, which is great, but you do notice when it’s turned on. The installation was relatively simple. The settings and temperature control are very easy - it’s all very self-explanatory. Show details
Love my air con – This is by far the best way to keep cool in summer. The units are quiet and very easy to run. Ours will cool the whole room in 5 minutes, it’s very efficient. We run them while sleeping and we never hear them. I highly recommend for hot summers and sleepless nights Show details
Got it for summer and it’s perfect! – This is a really quiet system and the remote has a lot of choices. I used this system during summer and it was powerful enough to cool my whole house from my living room. I personally enjoy the economic setting and it can be quite strong. The remote is also very easy to use. Show details
Simply the best! – This is a Japanese company that specializes in air conditioning and they are the mercedes of the sector. Nothing more to say ...this is the benchmark in climate control. I had 3 other Daikin units installed 8 years ago on the recommendation of an electrical engineer and they have not missed a beat. Show details
Fabulous heating cooling – Looks unit great. Easy to use. Great features. Really happy with cooling and heating. It can Be a little noisy when the fan speed is up high. The sensor is great for efficiency is no one in the room therefore saving electricity. WE have been really pleased with the unit. Show details
Pricy, but worth it – Daikin is definitely not the cheapest model around. It is pricy and is known for its quality. I use it for our living room which is around 30 m squared. It does its job well, in heating and cooling in a short amount of time. haven't had problems with it so far Show details
just installed – It is a little noisy but better than the other air-conditioning units in the house. It is easy to use and cools the area quite well. only had it for a couple of days, so,so far so good. The installers were great the area they put it in was a bit tricky but they go there in the end. Excellent so far – After searching for so long for the best airconditioning system, we decided to go for Daikin. Got it installed by the Daikin people. We have 4 units and each unit can be controlled individually. Very quiet, has timer and the vents are really easy to clean. A bit more expensive than other brands, but very happy so far. Highly recommend it. Show details
Can't live without in QLD Summer – Got my house built and got 1 installed in living area and 1 installed in bedroom. Great aircons. They get really cold & not big or bulky at all. They look modern. Can't live without it in the ipswich spring/summers. Will definitely be buying another system to be installed in my media room. Show details
Find out how Daikin FTXS35KVMA (3.5kW) compares to other Split System Air Conditioners
Know better, choose better.
Love daikin ❤️ – Ok I've had Mitsubishi split systems (very good) LG (also very good)and Fujitsu (good) but really nothing compares to the super quiet and simple efficiency of the daikin. It had an easy to use remote control and heats or cools a large room within minutes. To be fair other models might be more stylish looking but the daikin really feels like quality. Show details
Good cheaper option – Its cheaper to buy and actually cheaper to run I find because it is so efficitent. The fan blasts out enough heat to keep our lounge warm in winter although on really hot days it does struggle a little bit to keep the entire space cool (partly due to leaving doors open) would definitely recomomend this one Show details
reliable brand – I have Daikin in my office and they run nonstop for 12 hours . SO i thought i will buy them for my house very reliable and quite .saves power bill did not get any power bill shock this winter. Daikin means quality. WThey are very economical and with minimum maintenance. worth for its price tag. Very reliable brand Show details
Good – We don't use the air-conditioner much only in the summer when it's really really hot, where I live it does not get that hot usually, but last summer there were a few days where the heat was unbearable so my wife decided to turn on the air-conditioner and we were soon pleased as it cooled down the house nicely. It's a great air-conditioner, and I recommend it. Show details
Daikin means quality – We have installed it in May to survive the cold weather here. It's quiet and so far so good to give us warmth. I like the features "outdoor unit quiet operation" to lower the noise level of the compressor. Very thoughtful to reduce disturbance to neighbours. The remote control is user friendly with pictures of easy understanding. Show details
Excellent Quality Air Conditioner – Daikin air conditioners are top quality and perform well in regards to heating and cooling, They are also economical with energy usage. Daikin air conditioning service and installation is prompt and efficient. The only drawback is they tend to more expensive than other brands but you are getting a top quality well designed product that will last for many years. Show details
Daikin perfect for Brisbane weather – I replaced my Daikin air conditioner in November 2016 with another Daikin, I feel they are one of the best units on the market, my first unit last almost 12 year, the only reason it went, a gecko got into the old unit. The Daikin does cost a little more, but it is a good unit and worth the money. Cools the room down quickly and runs quietly. Show details
Quiet and efficient. A Must have in summer – Took only 5-6 hours for a Daikin technician to install and he tidied up and vacuumed before I got home. Efficient cooling. Temperature control good so it is economical to use. Perfect for a small apartment and takes less than 15 minutes to cool the bedroom and lounge from 33 to 26degrees . Show details

Great Airconditioner – I'm very happy with my Daiken airconditioner. It's fantastically quiet both inside and out. It cools the whole of my 2 bedroom unit. The installation was quick and efficient no complaints. All controls for the unit are easy to use and if your a bit confused whe controls also have pictorials. Couldn't be happier. Show details
The only solution after 2 years research – I needed about 14 units of various sizes for home office and accommodation for shorter and long term workers. We have had daikin's installed at the office in 2003 of which haven't got a lot of use but been trouble free. Here we relied on the old heavy expensive central unit. this was recently replaced by 2 new daikens of 4 and 3 KW so as to… Read more
heat/cool in the rooms we use. The older Daikin ones are in rooms not often used. Upstairs unit installed daikin in 2002 also when 2nd floor added and is used hard. Old daikins from then have performed faultless for 13 years and are inverters.
Most new units installed in the last year are at accommodation home where abuse is often prevalent. Original units were cheap Chinese non inverters, were turned to highest and windows left open or even while they leave for work day and most failed in a short time. Power costs high.
I needed a solution to counter abuse and accepting installers recommendation n sizing was questionable given no matter what size installed, it would be set at the highest temp for winter or lowest for summer. Samsung was my first choice as I could thru wifi oversee the temps and adjust from ipad remotely. Then Daiken finally introduced a wifi option for $120 to each unit, to do this. Initially they advised I could only oversee one unit per ipad and all sales areas had no experience with this new option. Working with Daikin Australia, we found that I could indeed monitor all units from one ipad once they played with it at their home and work etc. I cant believe companies haven't woken up to the unmet demand of remote surveillance of abuse to units. Places like hostels would benefit greatly.
Guess what? I haven't been able to work this feature out on wifi and despite awesome new router hub, I still have not utilised this power saving feature to monitor use. Its a 6 bedroom home with about 8 tenants. power bill shocked me with winter use and abuse to be a quarterly bill of just $1040 which was far lower than expected. Given I have an indoor pool of 45,000 litres and pumps running 6 hours a day, 12 months of the year. I have to say these new systems are absolutely the bees knees for performance and savings!!!
Office had 2 fitted as said far up above. Both a 3.5 and a 4. I should have gone for a 4.6 and only 50$ extra given my negotiated pricing structure. With old 35 year old out door unit no longer working, I now save about $7 a day, as per my bill compared with previous year and time period.
Both the installs above will pay for themselves over a 3 year period approximately in power savings.
Now my personal Home. A 7 kw in lounge dinning run for about 6 hours a day and a 2.5kw in bedroom that may run 50 hours over a year. We obviously don't use it much in bed room and have great evaporative for cooling. We switched off our underfloor heating which covered exactly what the 7 kw split inverter was to replace. The underfloor heating usually cost $1.100 for 3 months and was never set at a comfortable temp, rather we still rugged up in cold weather. Our account dropped by $800 for our period this year of 3 months in winter and we enjoyed a warmer living area at a fraction of the cost with the new inverter.
This install may have a pay back period of 1 or 2 more years simply because they are used as a heating only solution and savings are only in winter.
Am I satisfied? 100%. I didn't go the Samsung route as threads in other sites like whirlpool were quite damning. Many need to also realise that warrantee and extended warrantee are not so important. Paying for the extended warrantee is throwing away money.
For the new consumer laws introduced on 1 January 2011. Please see https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/consumer-rights-guarantees/warranties and note detail on extended warrantees and care packages as often not a benefit. You should ask your seller, what does this serve above the law introduced on 1 January 2011 called "Consumer Guarantee"? and refer to this link

I have a Panasonic also in the office, goes well, no issues. I conclude tho, that Daikin is a little higher priced, but shop well, they are very cheap if you shop well. A city install, 2.5 KW (20 sq mtre coverage), installed can be as low as $1,050. That these new inverters are possibly the best quality on the market for domestic and business use. It would certainly be in the top 3 brands without a possible argument. They are more efficient than possibly claimed and many people do not realise, including most installers; the following.
! KW into a radiating heat provided, such as bar heat, under floor heat etc will never give you 1 kw of heat out. They are not 100% efficient. A daikin inverter will actually give you about 2.5 to 3 kw heat from a 1 kw input of power and so they are remarkable more efficient than the past. Often once a room is at the right temp, a mid sized until may be running well under 500 watts of power consumption. So that's 5 old 100 w bulbs if you compare.
I hope you enjoyed my feed back
