DL used to be my go to store, but what's happened?? Styles have become frumpy, unimaginative, and designs or patterns, are often very old fashioned. There's been a definite change and it isn't good.

query. 1.5 weeks later still not a single response. I phoned them lots of times also. They never pick up. And they never return calls. Even though I left messages every time.

Absolutely terrible customer experience!! I bought a coat from the outlet and was looking to refund due to the length of the coat was too long. that I got home and read the bottom of the receipt and it says David Lawrence is happy to exchange or refund within 30 days!! I felt like I’ve been lied to! Absolutely terrible feeling!!

One of my fav Australian clothing brands! – I have been buying from DL for a few years and I have never had any issues with them. Lots of my workwear is from DL and I just can't have enough. I love the designs of their products, so elegant and so unique, plus they've always got some pretty good sales. Customer service is also very helpful and friendly. was a 30-day return timeframe and I was on business trips for some time, I rushed to Australia Post and sent the item back to David Lawrence using their envelop, costing me $14.95. The refund was returned to me in due course, but when I enquired about the postage I paid, I was advised that had I used their free return service, it would have been free. I was a bit upset by it so asked if I could be reimbursed for the postage I paid, the answer was no. For me, this was disappointing indeed! They should have made the free to return information more readily available to all customers. What's more, they should have offered reimbursement of the postage incurred to those first time online buyers. All in all, I was not happy with the way it was handled, $14.95 is not a lot of money, it is more a principle and practice of doing a successful business that attracts return customers.

This has been the issue with some of the discounted sales items I have purchased, either sizing is not labelled correctly or item has lost its shape and has stretched. I have come to realise that when an item is on sale there is a reason for this, its because that item does not sell well due to poor quality and goes on the "reject rack". I love sales, but sometimes not everything is a great buy, sometimes you are getting the left over crap. I know better now than to buy off the second hand rack of David Lawrence, of course for some its a BARGAIN but I say its the luck of the draw.

Caramia wool blend cardigan, absolutely woeful – I purchased a Caramia Wool blend cardigan which was quite expensive. Advertised as luxury yarn that unfortunately looked like a rag less than 3 weeks later. Never wore it out, even though it was purchased as a classy evening wear cardigan. I wrote to DL and the response I received was less than adequate. I will never purchase anything from DL ever again. It was beyond disappointing. Absolute rubbish. Show details

Do not buy clothing marked final sale – I would not recommend buying DL Online clothing that is marked "final sale". In my experience after purchasing 2 pairs of pants online, the sizing is completely wrong, more than two sizes different, and DL's online standard "statement" policy for items marked "final sale" is no returns or refunds. This is not okay and I would expect more from what was previously known as a reputable brand. Show details

I purchased two years ago. These jeans were purchased at $139 and soon after they were reduced to $79. They are not even worth that price. So buyer beware. Shall never purchase from David Lawrence again. No customer relations at all in store or online.

voicemail and of course they do not call back,even after several messages. I really wont bother with them again as after spending so much money,I am now inconvenienced by the lengthy return process (up to a month) before I see my refund and I don't feel their response when I got one finally via email was particularly good.

Cheaters - Be very careful when purchasing products are not what they say online – Product was not what it said in the description online. Paid good money for a coat that said was fully lined. Very disappointing customer service – I purchased an item for which I used my loyalty rewards. I returned that item as it was not fitting me. that their warehouse has already received my item, but no response thereafter…. Another email sent again…. And again no response from them. This was not their first time that they were ignoring my emails. Very poor and unprofessional customer service.

DL seems to have gone to the dogs! – David Lawrence USED to be responsive and good but the past 3-4 weeks it seems no one is working there anymore. There is no response via email or phone, the chat is a joke because it sends you to email. Maybe they're in receivership. Zero Customer Service – I ordered a dress on 16th June , and 2 weeks later I still have not received it. I sent them emails, and they have not replied. I rang them, and left them my details and telephone number, but they would not return the call. The worst of the worst, customer service that I have ever encountered. I am now going through PayPal to get my money back. Congratulations David Lawrence for a job well done……✅✅✅

To this day, no one has made contact with me, neither by telephone nor email. This company markets their products to professional women and they cant even manage a call back or email reply. Sooo disappointing, as I have been happy with their clothes for many years. . . .without complaint! My first contact with them was terribly frustrating and disappointing. . . Poor representation on you brand – Consolidated store dealings are less than average. Monday...nothing!! This was after repeated calls through a frustrating virtual assistant, then eventually getting put through to the right section, and being cut off twice! only eventually to be told that no one was manning the David Lawrence section and they were not willing to help even though they were meters away from the stock. Women's wear manager was also very rude. Where would the David Lawrence representative be on a Friday at 10.30am? How poor that then no other staff member in the near vicinity was willing to actually serve and walk there themselves to have a quick look!. Seems as though everything basic expected as service is seen as such an unattainable task. It is interesting though that when I do visit the staff do have time to chat and group together not actually helping people. Love to know why Doncaster is employing these arrogant people whom are simply rude and lazy!

a size 8 instead of a size 14 - yet they want me to pay for a second round of postage (plus the inconvenience) for something that was their manufacturing error? I've since emailed a further three times asking them to exchange the top - it is no different to sending me a faulty item, which I should not be left out of pocket for.......no response.

sorry david lawrence, but with shockingly bad customer service, and your attempt to avoid reimbursing my postage costs of $9 you have lost a customer for life. I previously spent thousands of dollars a year here - not any more.

Unbelievable – It is the worst company to contact. You get told to leave messages because no one answers the phone. No one returns calls or returns emails. I have returned a dress which I bought online. Can see they have received it but no refund has gone to my account and no acknowledgement from them that they have received the dress back.

Worse than the telcos for customer service – Have tried to call their 'customer service' number every day for past 2 weeks. Left 4 voice mails and 2 emails. No response. Terrible service. Have bought from them in the past, in store and on line but never again. Their 'customer service' makes the telcos and gov services look good.

Do not recommend – When I saw all the terrible reviews here about DL, I couldn't believe that I had the same experience. More importantly, I wished that I had looked up these reviews before purchase. The customer service is beyond terrible and no quality. I have never been more disappointed with a brand. I will never purchase from this brand again. I do not recommend David Lawrence to anyone.

Terrible customer service – This is the WORST company I have ever dealt with. Contacted them over 6 times in regards to an order: through website, via email address and phone calls. All emails and calls totally ignored. Have had to report to Afterpay and ACCC. Never making the mistake of ordering from here again. WORST customer service EVER. If I could give 0 stars I would.
