supposed to hold the patch around the front of the body failed completely and would not stay in place.

I have contacted the company twice regarding this issue and have received no reply. This lack of response is extremely disappointing.

I will now be reporting this matter to the ACC as the product claims are misleading and the patches simply do not work. I strongly advise others not to waste their money on these products.

The Deep Heat lower back and hip belt is amazing! It doesn’t stick to skin, it has a belt with Velcro. About 2 minutes after you put it on it is heated and stays hot for 12 hours - even if you take it off for a shower or physio. Fits easily under clothes. heat patch review – The extra large type work well for lower back pain. Provide good relief for 8 hours or so. The small patches are pretty much useless. They don't stick well.

Review of various DH products – Have used the gel for ages, helpful for the general ache but not good enough for a deeper muscle ache. Recently found the higher strength one which helps more. Belt for lower back pain is spectacularly helpful for me today. First time trying after I developed an ache, and it does a better deep heat than either the gel or patches for a localised area (am using over a thin cloth barrier, as per warning on packet). Am considering using the "belt" for my occasional shoulder pains next time also. Would recommend!

Don’t get this piece of garbage unless you want to waste your money! Doesn’t stick properly at all, doesn’t do anything! Is literally like buying paper and sticky tape and having an uncomfortable patch on you… absolutely useless! Show details

Used the back patches - Barely luke warm - after an hr took them off as not worth the annoyance of feeling the adhesive. Thought it was just an unlucky once off so used another from a different packet. No difference, waste of $ Show details

This used to be a great product which set your skin on fire and really drew blood into the area to assist in the healing process. chemical was removed because some snowflake complained of the sensation it used to produce when applied! And thanks to that we no longer have this as an option for general aches and pains. Do not waste your money on this garbage until they put it back the way it was.

I used to rely on these patches for lower back pain but they have changed the manufacturing and the current patches do nothing. The XL patches stick better than the small ones but I feel like neither heat up as much as they used to. The small ones don't stick at all. Sad :( Going to have to find an alternative Show details

Very disappointing! – I currently have lower back pain so I applied the deep heat patch this morning. It is supposed to activate within 60 seconds but six hours later I've had neither heat nor relief. What a waste of effort producing this dodgy item and then selling them to us trusting consumers. I should have looked at reviews before I threw my money away. Really bad reviews and they are still producing this rubbish! Show details

Heat loss – Not very impressed with this product, most of the heat is lost on the opposite side from the skin, they fall off, bunch up. I have also been using patches that are meant for losing weight, but they work much better for relieving strained muscles than these pads do. Was great for pain relief on flight. Odourless too – Not a cure. But provides pain relief through mild heat. I had fractured 4 vertebrae in lower back and was recovering slowly. Then had to unexpectedly travel to my sister’s funeral overseas. I didn’t want to be taking too many pain killers. These worked very well. Caused a small burn and blister – This was the first time using the Deep Heat patches, I felt like the first one didn't heat up but the second one did and after use when i took the second one off it took off some skin and left me with a surface burn and blister. This is adding to the already extremely sore pulled muscle in that area. Will never use these again. Show details

Deep Heat Patches Want to give it a zero – I used to use these patches all the time and so did my mum. They helped enormously with back pain. I bought some recently and thought I had bought a dodgy batch as they did not warm up. Bought another pack yesterday and they are the same. Do not buy. Doesn't work, no palpable heat – Wasn't sure if I had applied correctly due to the zero effect I obtained. Checked instructions again... Simply peel off backing and apply. Will be getting a refund on this tomorrow. Show details
