Had severe tooth pain, did nothing and after I took it pain got much worse – I had a severe tooth pain all over, jaw etc I took Panamax because that’s all we had in the house in the middle of the night I couldn’t sleep. paracetamol is paracetamol ! – Paracetamol is paracetamol and whether you call it Panadol or Panamax both are exactly the same thing. The only difference is that Panadol has a gelatine coating to make it more pleasant to take and Panamax doesn't have the coating. is the gel coating which is probably responsible for Panadol's the higher price. Panamax is used by a number of people that I know(including a nurse) in preference to "Panadol" to save money and all get the same relief from panamax as they get from Panadol. I know that some people tend to live by the "you get what you pay for" rule and may talk themselves into believing that Panadol is more effective to justify the higher price they are paying, but in reality a dollar is a dollar and 500mg of paracetamol is 500mg of paracetamol whether you call it Panamax or Panadol

Doesn't work – Doesn't work on me or anyone I know of. Missing many ingredients that Panadol optizorb has. Panadol works within 20 mins Panamax never, even our hospital states don't use it, Panamax is a placebo.

No different to panadol – Paracetmals are mostly the same, all work or don't work in same way. I buy panamax as it's cheaper than panadol. If I just have a bit of a headache it does ease it but more severe pain not so much. If I use Panadol brand, it is the same in that way.

Didn't work for me – I get quite severe migraine often and after running out of panadol and nurofen I turned to Panamax to relieve some pain, enough so I could sleep but literally nothing changed. It did not work at ALL even after waiting for an hour for it to "kick in" literally did not relieve any pain. So disappointed.

good product no harmful side effects – Found the panamax to effective and cheaper than panadol with the same ingredients. Works the same so I stick with a brand that works. Very happy with panamax many people I know use the same product as me.

Great! – I've used Panamax since my early teen years and I'm now 26, still using and it still effectively works. Its helped reduce my fever and headaches quicker than panadol and is a lot cheaper than any pain killers I know! ($2 for a pack of 100 tablets from ChemistWarehouse)

Not my go-to pain relief – There are few things that Panamax is good for - period pain, some headaches. But if you've got muscle soreness or any real inflammation, forget it. It does nothing at all for me most of the time. I'll only take it if it's the only pain relief available.

Not worth the money – Panamax does nothing to stop pain. panadol does. When they made panamax they fogot to put the paracetamol in, this is why they are so cheap. So i am pleased to find that panadol looks after my pain

about average – I used to buy these panamax pain relief tablets on the pharmaceutical benefits scheme as the doctor recommended them and found them to work well though they would sometimes hurt the stomache a little bit though not too bad and they didn't fall apart easily like the cheaper ones they usually sell in the supermarkets though got to make sure have water with them plus they are good priced

The only downside is that the tablets are not properly coated and are a bit big, so I find them more difficult to swallow than the usual Panadol.

Mind, this is not an antiflammatory, so it won't work if your pain has an inflammatory cause.

Do not like panamax & would not buy again – Does not at all relieve period pain :( :( :( :( :( recommend advil out of it in the house someone brought me panamax no difference as if I didn't even take it.

will never go back to Neurofen or Panadol. Yet again, the famous brand is beaten by a cheaper, equally effective product! I cannot think of any negative things about this product - it is great!!

Excellent – This is a cheaper brand of pain killer which I think is not too strong as ibuprofen. It contains the ingredient paracetamol and works effectively for light pain or headaches. This is a good value for money paracetamol product which can be found at a cheaper price at some chemists. It works for me if my headache is just starting or if my headache is not too severe. I usually take it if I don't want to take something too strong but still wait pain relief. It is inexpensive and my only worry is that you shouldn't take too many of any sort of pill over a long time, othewise it is fine for me.

your mouth for a long period of time but are fine if swallowed straight away, this makes it a lot harder for children to take this product. very cost efficient pain relief, harder to swallow, do not taste very nice

Good – These pain killers work just as well if not better than the Panadol and much, much better than the Nurofen ones. The tablets can be easily swallowed but they do not have a gel coating which makes them taste rather powdery sometimes. 100 comes in the box and it only coasts about $3. Excellent – i always buy panamax, i buy the box of 100 and usually buy a few boxes at once so i have them at home and at that price you cant go wrong and it doesnt cost an arm and a leg to buy a few boxes. i find no difference between panadol or nurofen or panamax except the price so i would never buy the other 2 for the price they are. great product, great… Read more

beause of it actually not working, or if its just my mind making me thing that (a placebo of sorts), I have no idea. Nothing much apart from the price and that they are available from most pharmacies/chemists. I didn't find Panamax to work at all in relieving pain.

Bad – Panamax would be one of the cheapest pain relief medicines that you can buy and I have seen the larger packets sold at chemists for only a couple of dollars in the past. fine if the pain is quite mild but I would not be reaching for these if the pain was a bit more severe. Very cheap and will last a while. Does not do that good a job with more severe pain from my experience.

Good – I think that this product is the best one that is out on the market, it comes out in bulk. It is easy to take, not so bad and it works well. It is cheap and you get allot for your money I have only ever seen them at good price pharmacy.

Terrible – These tablets are very cheap but I failed to see how they actually worked. I did not notice any difference at all. That it is very cheap and therefore very affordable. I had no relief from the pain that I was trying to get rid of when I used these tablets.

UK, so it's quality can be assured. You can have a strip at work, one in your handbag, one in your gym bag etc so it is always on hand when you need it. Just remember to stick to the maximum dose of no more than 8 in a day and make sure you don't use other products containing paracetamol (such as cold and flu medications) at the same time. Excellent – I popped two today for an emerging headache and they worked fine. I always take two Panamax when I have a headache, just to be sure. Because they're sold in big packets regular headache sufferers won't find themselves running out of tablets. Cheap Orange and white packaging.
