I have a Delomghi Magnfica Eva and the milk is not coming out at all. Just the red triangle warning light with exclamation mark inside. Have cleaned the entire machine properly. Have even bought a new milk jug thinking that could be the error. Used different milk types. Has anyone got any suggestions or do I have to call Delonghi support? Show reply
Waste of money – Partner bought this just 12 months or so ago. Right out of the box anything with frothed milk is luke warm and needs to be microwaved. Doesn’t matter what settings we choose. I’ve even tried room temp milk to froth and it’s still like warm. My parents $200 clearance Breville manual coffee machine makes 200% nicer coffee/cappuccino better than this waste of money machine. water tank,change filter,descale coffee machine, the amount of times getting ready for work made a coffee left the machine because it's cleaning and I've left home and come home from work to find ive left the milk canister attached and milk has gone off,I don't recommend buying this machine at all,the milk canister is also hard to put on and I can't open the side of the machine to take out another part that needs rinsing

properly it’s a perfect coffee by touching a few buttons. It’s really easy to take apart and clean.( see pictures) You can add decaf ground beans in a small section at top of machine. Milk can be 3 different levels of thickness. Cleans itself by rinsing before and after every coffee made. ( if making a few I don’t let it) Cons- Noisy when it grinds beans Needs to descale quite frequently The app is not easy to use( for me anyway) I wouldn’t pay extra for Bluetooth again as you can turn it on from your bed but sadly it can’t get milk out of fridge or swap the drip tray for a coffee cup!? Not worth money! – I pay 800£ for this coffe machine,after 2 months using machine start leaking! I contacted with delonghi customer service,and service said need send to repair! $950 aud. So price was excellent. Build quality, lots of plastic, then again for stainless one could expect to add thousand or two. I’d rate it about 3.5 to 4. I’d be happier if the spout the milk and hot water slots into was stainless at least at this price point.
We use refrigerator filtered water so don’t worry about machine filter. I bought Libby 311ml glass mugs which fit well underneath and give a bit of extra room for adds or extra froth.
The default settings are for very mild coffee product. Good things about this machine is the touch screen and ability to add a few personal profiles. First thing I did was raise water temp as high as it would go. Change the bean grinder (1 step at a time as per instructions) to 3.5 for a bit stronger coffee. I have white coffee so I add hot milk to start, it’s not hot, more luke warm, but adds to overall temp. I use a medium roast coffee, mostly use froth 2 setting for the milk, even for cappuccino. The 3 setting doesn’t make it overall hot enough for my liking. End result is about 300ml hot coffee. Not scalding but sip hot to start. I can put two of these into a travel mug and I’m ready to go, I use froth one when doing that. I also use Pauls 2% smarter milk as apposed to full cream, lite or skim milk, it froths nicely.
If I could add anything it would be a steaming wand. For ramping up cappuccino temp when desired.
I had an old magnifica and this is hands down far better. For under $1k I’m happy with what I consider a very close commercial grade coffee to suit my taste in an automatic cleaning machine. It does take experimenting to get to what you like. After that it’s just pushing buttons once you set it.
Lots of machines on the market, happy with my decision.

That's where the Dinamica Plus shines. Power on. Insert milk. Push button. Milk back in fridge. Coffee. It takes ME out of the equation.
I chose this machine because Choice rated it highest for consistency of temperature, pour & frothing. Which means once you've got it dialled in to your preferences, you'll get the same thing every time. And in the two weeks I've had it, that's very much been the case.
The biggest downsides is that some of the pre-programmed coffee's it pours too long a shot (making the drink sour), but this can easily be rectified, thankfully. Both cappuccino options put way too much water through the shot for the amount of coffee grind in it. Also you can't add additional shots to a programmed drink. The "Doppio+"/"Cappuccino+" uses a larger amount of coffee ground, but if you still want an additional shot on top of that the only option is to do it separately. But that's as simple as pushing the screen again.
My personal preferences included shrinking the grind size (following the procedure in the manual), boosting the aroma everywhere I can, then dropped the amount of water pushed through the Cappuccino+ from 135ml all the way back to 80ml (it was too long a pour, resulted in a sour coffee). I then increased the milk so it tops up my mugs, while still leaving enough room for an extra 40ml espresso shot should I want it.
I get perfectly consistent coffee, every morning. With little enough effort that even hungover me on weekends doesn't hesitate to make a coffee anymore.
Compact, Clever and Customisable – I'll start by saying I've never been a coffee lover, but with this machine, I've turned to the dark side. : ) I'm normally a tea connoisseur. how to best use this machine. Cool things like ordering your coffee from your phone, customising your choice of beverage, adjusting temperature, volume, strength, grind, choice of drinks. Lots to take in and experiment with. 6 weeks later and we're both loving it. Coffees can be made piping hot or mild heat. Milk based drinks can be hit and miss with the standard recipes. However, you can customise the recipes to suit your taste. ie. More or less milk, more or less coffee strength, more or less water, and the temperature of the coffee.
Admittedly, the milk side of things aren't perfect as you'll typically need to mix the milk through if you expect an evenly heated beverage. Otherwise the milk is relatively cool compared to the coffee. This seems to be a problem with all fully automatic milk based coffee machines. If you want to perfect it, I suggest you heat up the milk caraffe in the microwave before use, or get a machine where you can steam the milk manually to the desired level.

I promise you that you will do exactly what I do - press the same button everyday for the same coffee completely ignoring all other options on the pretty display that I paid plenty for.
Go and find the lower model and test its 4 options - if you like one of them - buy it and spend the 800 ish dollars that you have saved on something else.

a build up of milk inside where the knob fits into the frother. I wasn't aware that you could remove the knob, and the frother was not working properly until I removed the knob and cleaned it. Other than that, I am impressed with the design of the machine, as it is very easy to remove the brewer group and clean it and all the parts are accessible. I would recommend the machine to anyone that likes their coffee freshly brewed from beans.

You could adjust the temperature eventually but I haven't tried, so not sure if it will reach the desired one. Spoiler Alert: a super hot temperature will compromise the flavour of coffee itself . After the usual internet research, I decided on the Delonghi Dinamica Plus, as it can make different styles of coffee with just one touch of the LCD screen (including milk frothing/dispensing). The ability to program & save your favorite coffee settings, using your mobile phone (bluetooth) was also attractive. You can adjust the style, volume, strength, & temperature of the coffee to your liking & save those settings. Once saved, those settings are available on the LCD screen.
I have found that different brands/roasts of coffee beans require an adjustment to the fineness of the built in grinder, to get the best flavor, aroma & crema. It takes at least one cup of coffee before the effects of each grind adjustment is apparent in the coffee. I am a little disappointed with the milk frother which doesn't really produce thick, creamy froth like the steam wand on my old Sunbeam machine. I guess that this is the price you pay for having an automatic one touch machine! We don't have cappuccinos very often, so this doesn't really bother us.
Have not had any leakage or cool coffee temperature (very hot, if set to high) issues. Wish the water tank was larger, as it requires filling often. I like all of the reminders, 'empty the waste coffee container', 'fill the water tank' etc. It is also great that the machine rinses itself on turn on & at turn off.
This machine suits anyone who wants a great coffee, without the fiddling needed with a manual coffee machine (Of course a manual machine can yield a better coffee, if you can master consistent tamping, dosing, frothing etc.) Very happy with this machine & recommend it, if you want great coffee with minimal fuss.

do 2 rinse cycles and 2 clean cycles on the milk jug before attempting to make a late ? After stuffing around For 10 minutes I did all this and ended up with a late that was 40 degrees so microwave was used to heat it up ! Milk temperature not adjustable – Its unfortunate that the milk tempetature is not hot enough or adjustable. The coffee temp is adjustable. I like my coffee hot but this machine only delivers a flat white around 60 degrees. If you like your coffee warm ..fine and go for it Otherwise tbe machine works the way it suppose to. Show details
