Great machine!! – We had the woolies caffitaly machine for nearly a year and thought it was pretty good. Then one morning it had leaked everywhere and wouldn't hold water anymore. So i was in the market for another one, the cheapest was 69 but had very average reviews, the Aldi one looked good however I'm in WA so that wasn't an option. Some of the other machines… Read more · 1
were well over a 100 and I just couldn't justify it until I saw a great deal, the nespresso essenza with milk frother for 130 after 50 cash back. Sold. 2 years warranty gave me peace of mind about spending more money and also the brand name reassured it's quality.
The coffee taste fantastic, the frother works very well and the machine is nice and compact and works very well. I was shocked at just how nice the coffee is, the woolies ones are nice but nespresso really are another class.
Seeming the real deal was cheaper than some of the immitations and has full warranty I can't fault this machine. One day I'll fork out the big bucks and get the super duper ones but for now this machine is more than satisfactory.
Worth every penny
Makes coffee of consistent quality – We got this for our office to be able to caffeinate ourselves without leaving much of a mess. This machine works good and makes coffee of consistent quality. We wanted a coffee machine, but the idea of there being a constant mess was not appealing. Now we can make coffee and the only cleanup is to occasionally bin the used pods. This machine came… Read more
with a milk frother but I haven't used it yet - i'm just drinking coffee shots now.
The only annoyance with this machine is that it needs to warm up and it's hard to know if it's warm or not. You set everything up, press the button and both buttons begin to blink. This means the element is heating up. You press the button again and only it blinks, which means it's getting ready to make some coffee for you. When the element heats up, the coffee begins to pour. It has only 2 buttons, but they managed to make the process confusing.
The disadvantage with this machine is the lock-in into the Nespresso brand of pods. Once you run out you can't get a quick fix anymore and have to either buy a refill from the net or Nespresso brand stores which aren't all too common. This is ok, though as Nestle (maker of Nespresso) aren't going anywhere. It's small. There's no mess. Buttons blinking when heating up. Pods from only one provider.
Great little coffee machine – Great little coffee machine that makes a good coffee comparable to most you would buy at a shop or cafe. Very easy to operate and no worries about grinding beans as it uses the capsule system. Some reviews I read before buying this particular machine said the capsule system was no good and too expensive, but I have found them to be a easy way to… Read more
make a good cuppa. they can be refilled also if you follow some of the guides people have posted on youtube.Mine came with the milk frother which does a great job of heating and frothing the milk. overall very happy with the delonghi for making cafe quality coffee's.
Time for an update,
7 years on, and the delonghi is still churrning out my coffee everyday, no issues with it whatsoever.
As far as the coffee goes, the nespresso pods are without doubt the best but they are expensive, not too bad if you can get them when they are offering free shipping. Mostly for everyday use i find the L'or capsules are about the next best thing especially when they are special at Woolies or Coles for around $4.00 a pack, also the Woolies select brand are pretty good at around $3.50 a pack.
I hardly ever use the frother these days, just heat milk in the microwave and coffee is ready in less than 2 minutes.
Best appliance ever. Easy to use, quick. Capsules can only be bought online.

Serves me faithfully - love it! – I have had this machine for - stabbing a guess in the dark - maybe 5 years now and used it at least once daily. the machine still makes delicious, hot coffee quickly and effectively and it has seriously never let me down once. as big entertainers, my family and I find this machine great for pumping out beautiful, hot espresso without having to wait at all!
Does not come with an addiction warning!! – I travel the world for perfect coffee. Whilst there is better coffee to be found in Italian bar's this one is just too easy to make something to make me craving for more and more. I like change and oh boy do I get it! Personally and many agree the Indriya green capsule is most addictive! I keep buying cheap imitations trying to wean me off but… Read more
there are more and more and prices are coming down making my addiction worse. There are even decaf's but my son drinks nothing but indriya and I find it hard not to swallow too many of them. Causes lack of sleep and please do not ever use sleeping pills they cause serious side effects. I own 3 machines and 2 inverters in 2 different cars in different continents so wherever I go there is strong coffee to keep me going. Eventually I have to convert to drinking tea!
Very happy – My husband and I love our local coffee shop, but I thought paying $4.5 per cup is a bit too much all the time. So when we got a Myers voucher for Xmas, I purchased our very first coffee machine. My husband and I are very happy with the purchase. Still going through the sampler pod pack, and deciding what flavour we like. And still experimenting on… Read more
what milk to use. So I still need to say that it doesn't quite make as good coffee as the coffee shop, however good enough for us to enjoy a cuppa at home.
Also I think essenza is better deal than the U. Cause just by adding another $10-20, you get a milk frother machine.
Negative reviews
Good at first but now make rubbish Coffee – This Machine served me well for a year but over time the quality of coffee (and strength) has deteriorated. I have tried cleaning it and using the recommended cleaning products but its not helping. I ended up purchasing a nespressi instead due to the issue and the fact that nespressi has cheaper pod prices Nice coffee at the start Coffee quality got worse over time
Should be better at making Lemonade! It's a Lemon after all! – First one lasted just over twelve months! took forever to try to get it fixed under warranty but it never happened. Finally was given a brand new replacement.... lasted under twelve months! not going to bother with the rigmarole again... Luke warm coffee, water leaks, expensive for what it is and temperamental. The water container will hold the… Read more
lemonade from now on!!! bought an Aussie brand replacement for well under $100 and delivers hot coffee and if it stuffs up i won't be upset when recycling it and then getting a new one. Got it as a present! Not much else. Leaks water at capsule holder (apparently a design flaw) lukewarm coffee, dies without warning and cannot be revived. overrated machine at an overrated price,
DéLonghi EN95R / EN95S Nespresso Essenza – Yes, the Essenza does make nice coffee. However, be careful with the two year warranty on the machine. In my case the mechanism to puncture the pods failed and coffee is now too weak (undrinkable) and a lot of water escapes from the machine because of this failure. The warranty has elapsed by a four months and Nespresso will not entertain… Read more
extending it even though the mechanical problem started under warranty. Check your machine at 20 months to make sure pods are pierced from both ends correctly! Attractive machine, nice coffee, when it worked properly. Mechanical failure happened just out of warranty. Cost to fix - $150.

It's a great machine, never had any problems with it and have had it for quite a few years – Yes, happy with the taste. We buy generic pods from the supermarket and they are great. Extremely easy to use and to clean it's virtually nothing. Just clean out the used pods and wash the area they are collected in. It's been a very dependable coffee maker as we've tried a few in the past that have broken quickly. Show details
First but best by far! – This was the very first Pod coffee machine that I purchased. I was given another newer model which was ok and then received yet another new machine as a gift. Neither of those machines matched the consistency and quality of the coffee that I still make with my Essenza. It was one of the first machines on the market and bought it on a trip to… Read more
Melbourne and Myers shipped it to Perth for me for the princely sum of $6.95 so it must have been a long time ago; at least ten years.
I get a fabulous crema on top of every cup, the quality is as good as ever and the taste never varies which I find is so important.
It is also the easiest machine to clean, just a quick rinse under the kitchen tap, and if you can find one I would reccommend it to everyone.
It is just a 'guestimate' of purchase year.
Bit disappointed – I found it hard to get the right amount of water to come out of the machine for a standard size mug. I had to press the cup emblem 3 - 4 times to get a decent amount of coffee. Also found it hard to get the right strength. I know it's trial and error but it was more error than trial and I wasted a lot of capsules trying to find the perfect… Read more
coffee.
Maybe why it's discontinued..?
I gave the machine away and will stick to my Bodem plunger. At least I can make a lovely cup of coffee now.
Love my Nespresso! – I love my Nespresso coffee machine. I bought one within 12 months of them coming onto the market, so it must be around 10 years old by now. It still works as perfectly as the day I bought it. The only minor issues are that the milk frother attachment in the Aerocino broke (after about 8 years of constant use) and that the actual Aerocino takes… Read more
some thorough cleaning, but otherwise it is perfect. The newer models seem to have an Aerocino with a non-stick interior which would be better....I could always buy a new one I suppose but it's not a drama for me.
This is the base model Nespresso machine, but to me, there is no need to buy a more expensive Nespresso machine. They all take the same pods and do the same thing. Great coffee, every time. Machine still works like new after 10 years.

Great coffee - easy – I can't drink instant coffee but the nespresso makes cafe like cappuccino's. it also very easy to make and clean. It is also very well priced although the pods are more expensive than buying grounded coffee. They are still much cheaper than take away coffees and well worth it. Very happy.
Love it – Makes a great coffee, easy to use, easy to clean. Coffee pods are ordered online as no store close to us which took a few days which was no stress at all. Nespresso products seem a bit expensive like cups and accessories. We love ours and it is a great entry level machine. Makes a great coffee Need low height cups to fit under outlet Show 2 replies
Can't live without it! – We bought this coffee machine in December 2011 in the post Christmas sales and have loved it ever since! Whilst we don't drink an awful lot of coffee, we generally have one cup each per day. The pods are so easy to use and there is basically no cleaning to be done. I simply run the system without a pod in it to clean out the pipes between… Read more
uses. There is no mess!
The variety of the pods is great and we always make sure that we have most of them available to us so that we can have different coffees whenever we feel like it.
Our one came with the frother as a bonus and this also works really well.
We order our capsules on-line most of the time as the shops aren't that close by.
The coffee is lovely and hot too, unlike some other machines which make cool coffee!! Easy to use and no mess
Fab! – We use Piazza D'oro Capsules L'or Capsules that are from Woolies. Nespresso pods too expensive. Makes a great coffee. Tidy unit. Had a delonghi machine that used the grinds and was so bulky and messy. This one has been working perfectly for two years now, highly recommend! We drink tons of coffee at home so this has been well used. Clean tasty brews Genuine nespresso pods are expensive
So easy!! – Got this as a Xmas present and the family all love it! we used all the provided capsules pretty quickly. I was concerned that it could be a pain getting more capsules easily, but we have found we can use capsules sold at Woolworths just as well. Still working out how much water to push through the capsule to get the optimal flavour Very very easy to use, saving a fortune on lattes (as this was a present I am not factoring in any initial outlay) Show 2 replies
Brilliant Coffee – Thrown out the rubbishy MAP Bella and invested in a De Longhi Exxenza. Absolutely brilliant and a far wider coffee range. We can now have coffee before work without having to mess about with the MAP machine whilst it makes up its mind to work or not, we are very happy about this. Ease of use
Ideal for small benches – I dont drink coffee at home a lot, but when I do I want much better than instant. Got rid of conventional espresso machine with grinder because of the space and mess. You can quickly and easily make a coffee in the Nesprrsso and not have a lot of mess. Pods are a little expensive so its just as well we are not huge coffee drinkers. Great when… Read more
friends come over as you can quickly serve a good brew.
Cleaning the milk machine is a little fiddly but not hard. Easy and simple to use Coffee not quite as good as a proper espresso machine but close enough.
Great to have at home! – The Nespresso machine is great to have at home. They are easy to use and clean. The only two downsides is 1/ I find the milk machine gets damaged fairly quickly due to burnt milk and it is hard to clean. and 2/ you can't buy capsules anywhere and there aren't many Nespresso stores which are close to me. The one thing I like about the Nespresso… Read more
machine is that it's small which means it is easy to take on holiday trips to the snow! easy to use, quick, small and portable milk machine sometimes needs to be replaced. Capsules can only be bought at Nespresso stores.
Great Machine and Great Coffee – This machine is terrific. Neither of us are huge coffee drinkers so we couldn't justify spending a lot on a coffee machine but we picked our Essenza up at a bargain price from Harvey Norman in last year's boxing day sales and haven't regretted it. The only downside is that you need 2 power points one for the Nespresso and one for the milk frother,… Read more
but you can get the model that has both and only requires one power point if you are willing to spend more. I have never had any issues getting capsules for it, just order them online which I prefer to going in to the city to the Nespresso store.
I do feel that the capsule system is wasteful. You can recycle your capsules at Nespresso stores but that means holding on to your used capsules until you have enough to justify the trip to the store (I gave up doind this as they started to smell!) Simple to use and cheaper than other models Requires 2 power points

Love My Coffee Machine – After my old Coffee Machine decided to die, which i was so devastated as i love my coffee machine, especially having a cappuccino in the morning! My husband surprised me for our anniversary and bought me a new coffee machine, Absolutely love it! so easy to use! makes such delicious coffee. I would recommend this to everybody. Simple to Use!
Expensive Capsules – The Nespresso prices are prohibitive. However there are re-usable plastic capsules on line (ebay) that fit the machine. This way coffee of choice can be loaded into the capsules which are then re-used . A bit fiddly but brings the cost of a cup of coffee down to 10-15c as opposed to 78c for Nespresso capsules Final result taste and ease of use Cost of Newpresso coffee capsules
Good – I have had one of these for almost 3 years. It's has been back to Nespresso for repairs on one occasion under warranty. Since then, it's worked faultlessly. It's good for a quick cup of quality coffee. The machine is very easy to clean and takes no more than one minute. There are some downsides though. Firstly, the availability of the capsules.… Read more
You can order them online and pay for postage ($7 I think) or you can dare to goto the Nespresso shop. I've been to the one in Perth and it is always rammed with people. On any given weekend, I queue for upto 20 minutes. That said, the machine is good. It wold be nice to be able to fit a larger cup under the machine however the coffee drip is so low it only fits small cups. So if you like a large cup of coffee, you will end up using two capsules. Good quality coffee Buying the capsules, small cup of coffee
Quick and Easy – This is a great product but I struggled with the price, waste and availability of the Nespresso capsules. The capsules can only be purchased online or from a couple of stores. I purchased Coffeeduck reusable capsules and for an extra 30 seconds of preparation time you can use your own coffee and stop consigning aluminium capsules to the bin. Coffee is great using either method. Quick Expensive capsules
Cute, handy but pricey capsules – I like my little nespresso, it's been really handy if I want a cup of coffee, but when friends come over we go through a lot of the capsules, which I find are expensive and hard to find - limited to buying from special shops and internet which is a let-down. It's easy to clean and takes up no room. nice coffee capsules are expensive
Love my Nespresso! – Just love the ease of making excellent quality coffee every time! We love entertaining, and we love our quiet Sunday breakfast/brunch. The Delonghi gives these occasions an extra dimension. It's also so easy to clean and maintain and ordering new pods online is efficient, reasonably priced and easy to do. Crowd pleaser – The coffee lovers in our small office couldn't do without this coffee machine. Great variety of coffee pod flavours and strengths. Simple to use and very little cleaning or maintenance required
Simple and great coffee – This machine is so loved in our house. Easy to use, easy to clean. you can get refillable capsules if you look around. the milk frother is great and also easy to use and to clean. Normal coffee cups dont fit, but we just tilt ours. the stop start button is great, it allows you to make your coffee to your own taste/strength. Inexpensive, easy use. … Read more
The only thing I find wrong is that it is a little noisy for about 2 seconds, and we are drinking more coffee than we used to!
Cheaper than cafe coffee, but not cheap overall – I drink one to two cups of coffee a day and so purchased this machine as it makes just one cup at a time, instead of a pot or a large plunger of coffee. I brought it to work as it is cheaper than buying my 1-2 cups from a cafe each day. It is a relatively expensive machine (I had been swayed to buy this one by a friend who recommended it) and… Read more
the pods are expensive in comparison to other machines/options, but the coffee is nice and it is nice to be able to make just one cup at a time.
It is quite noisy though and a bit of a pain to clean. If I had over I probably would buy a cheaper one (the Aldi version gets good reviews) as its still expensive to run and annoying that I can only purchase my pods online or through select stores. Nice tasting coffee, convenient for only making one cup of coffee, easy to use. Expensive to buy and expensive to run (in comparison to other coffee machines)
So portable I take it on holidays and to the office with me – Never had a bad cup. Once you know the right milk / pod ratio for your taste it is fool proof. Don't be afraid to refill the pods with your own blends. Works out to be about 6c per pod. Before you puncture the pod mark it and line it up with a mark you have made in the machine itself .....vwallah!!! This machine is much more compact than the… Read more

Excellent – This is a great coffee machine. Very easy to use and low maintenance. We previously brought quite an expensive machine but found we never used it as it was too much work and cleaning. the coffee tastes and would recommend to anyone. Easy to use and clean, very low maintenance. Makes excellent coffee with a wide range of choses. Affordable. Does not come with attached milk frother and therefore requires 2 electricity points.
Totally converted – I bought this for my 76 yr old mum for Christmas. She learnt to use it in 2 mins. The quality of the coffee is magnificent and you get a beautiful crema and taste with all of the capsules. It's so much easier to use than my Sunbeam Cafe Crema and you don't have to wait ages for it to heat up. The coffee is perfect every time. No waste no mess. Buying myself one ASAP! Consistently good coffee, no mess
Perfect Machine and great coffee flavours – Having owned a Restaurant and Cafe I find this machine and the quality of the coffee excellent. So easy to use - effortless and no cleaning. I also teach Barrista with Tafe College and it is fool proof - I love long blacks and the coffee creama is so thick and fluffy - better than I can purchase a lot of the… Read more
