Worst Nespresso machine ever – I have always had a Nespresso machine but I am not happy with this one. The programmes can’t be changed and I’m not really fussed on any of them. Sometimes the coffee doesn’t come out, the machine just stops. Sometimes I get half a cup of coffee and sometimes a full cup using the same programme. Sometimes it leaks all over the bench but the water container appears to be in correctly. I hate this machine. Show details

So disappointing! – I have been using a Delonghi lattissima machine for about 12 years and never had any complaints, coffee was pretty good. Unfortunately it died last year and replaced it with this upgraded version it makes terrible coffee (using the same pods), boils the milk and is pretty much undrinkable. So disappointing Nespresso is bringing out coffee… Read more

Not my cup of tea – Spent a lot of money on this machine, after reading a lot of reviews. And unfortunately I am far from impressed. The coffee needs to be about 5 degrees hotter as I don’t really want to have to skull my coffee within 60 seconds of making it. Also the Nespresso pods?? Yuck! I haven’t found a smooth, enjoyable, well rounded cup of coffee yet. They… Read more

all have this unpleasant bitter after taste that I just don’t like. Really wish I had brought a diy type coffee machine with beans instead of this. Do not understand the type of Nespresso pods. Terrible.

Lattisima Pro-fessional – Best machine I've had in a longtime. DeLonghi have always been a reliable brand. The Lattisima Pro together with the Nespresso Pod if your choice, makes for the perfect cup of coffee. Lungi, espresso or ristretto, satisfaction is guaranteed. I can trust that my morning pick me up is going to be consistent day in and day out. Each shot is… Read more

perfectly measured and timed giving you the perfect temperature, flavour, texture and consistency. The milk frothing attachment is wonderful, I no longer have to do that separately, my machine will do it for me. It's the worlds smallest barista that never disappoints. Easy to set up and use. Easy to clean.

Awesome Machine – I’ve had 2 other coffee pod machines Previously (not Nespresso). The Delonghi Lattissima Pro has raised the bar of coffee pod machines. The coffee is lovely, the adaptability of serving size & type of coffee you require is terrific. The unit has an auto clean function after ea. “milk type” coffee is made. Such a compact unit which also has the… Read more

ability to turn into an urn for tea, simply by inserting the hot water spout instead of the milk jug/frothing unit. I have now “retired my kettle”. Very pleased with purchase and look forward to a few good coffees in the future

Best value for money on the market – This machine cannot be beat for value for money. I have had the same machine it for around 6 years. It has been repaired once for a new brewing unit and i have bought a new milk caraffe in that time but my wife and I used it a lot. 2 cappuccinos minimum a day, every day. If you are a fuss put and want variable temperature and hotter coffee and… Read more

milk etc go buy a $2k machine.

This machine brews the coffee at the CORRECT temperature. The product is is an excellent quality cappuccino and well worth the investment.

In my opinion the Nespresso pods are the only way to go all the aftermarket ones like Lavazza and Starbucks are nowhere near as good but having said that my wife doesn't mind so I suppose it's all to taste.

Buy it. It's 100% worth it. If mine dies I'm holding a funeral service for it and buying another.

Nice coffee sometimes – Upgraded from a smaller pod machine as I thought this would be quicker, combining the milk in one go. Not long after purchase, I noticed the milk frother was pouring hot water in the cup before any milk came through. It didn't happen every time and was sometimes only a small amount, but other times it was nearly all water. This watered down the… Read more

coffee, certainly not giving "the perfect coffee" as promised. I spoke to Nespresso, they suggested running the clean program first to warm up the frother pipes. Not only is this time consuming and annoying, it didn't work. Nespresso then replaced the milk carafe, telling me not to put the new one in the dishwasher to clean, even though it says you can in the manual. The new carafe worked better initially, but after a while it was the same as the old one. The other issue is that the machine leaks. Not a huge amount, but a little bit with each coffee so after a couple of days, a puddle creeps out from under the machine. I also find the water reservoir too small, even though i understand it's actually bigger than other machines. I realise this is not a $3000 machine, but at the time it was the top of the range Nespresso machine and I expected more.

A coffee Addicts dream – My 5th coffee machine; my first being a disaster when it failed in the 2nd month, 4th month and 6th month. It was not a Nespresso Machine. That is when we got our first Lattissima and the world was good, for almost four years. Then it started leaking water and it did not froth. We called Nespresso and they would fix it but would not loan us a… Read more

machined that would froth milk. Both my wife and I like our coffee just so, and no other. In 40 years of marriage we have worked out what we like and do not like!

So, as our machine was being repaired we purchased a 2nd machine, a Lattissima Touch. We received our repaired machine back after three weeks to decide to continue to use the new machine. The new machined ceased functioning about a week later. Well, we had the repaired original; machine and used this again.

We returned the New Machine for a replacement, a slightly newer model; this lasted 5 days, for it to go into the disco era, flashing lights and refusing to make coffee. We returned this machine too, a little ... well greatly frustrated with the Lattissima range, looking for something other. The machine we had appeared to be the top of the range. We were about to leave the store when my wife saw a Lattissima that we had not been shown; the Lattissima Pro!

Old stock, priced from $889 down to $489, we paid the difference. Best coffee machine purchase yet! It is a brilliant machine, easier to clean, holds more water and milk, is programmable and even allows you to make hot water for tea! The world was good again and still is now after a moths use. No big deal, just one month?

We have purchased around 1500 capsules this year (in 5 months). We like our coffee, our visitors like our coffee, we really like our coffee, so 10 cups of coffee average a day is ... average. So, we have a fair idea what a good machine is from our point of view. Actually, my father was also a coffee nut, also preferring the Nesscaffe brand; genetics?

Anyway, 4½ stars for the machine; but it is not flawless! Well designed by engineers but not by Black Belt coffee drinkers. So, Coffee Machine Makers, for our next machine, in five years time, we would like;

- The Milk Frother - to be BIGGER, at least fill the foot print space allocated for it. If it were to hold twice as much milk that would be nice and well.

- The water-tank too, BIGGER and mounted at the side where you can see when the water is low ... duh!

- The water-tank stop mechanise could be a little more intelligent, allowing the coffee pouring to finish before switching to "fill the tank'. There is enough reserve water in the tank to do this!

- The water Capture can be a little bit deeper without breaking the production costs as also having a "full" warning, warning light.

- Programmable Buttons; allow these to be programmed as I want them, meaning, milk, coffee or what combination I wish to program them, in which order i want them. Just number these 1 through 6 or a through f.

- Too loud guys! When i wake up in the morning and my wife want's a sleep-in, I can't have my coffee. Yes, I could have the machine in the garage or maybe in Tasmania but come-on, the noise is like a jet aeroplane taking off when it is 6 am.

I would be willing to pay more for a machine that would also not run too hot, too quickly when we are having a soirée (at our age we no longer party's but soirée's). Yes, we may be a little unusual the way we use the machine but then, what option do we have.

My brother has one of those 'Barrister' machines. You know, the one where you grind the coffee and bla, bla ... takes to long and you can't easily change the flavours or as with the capsule.

So, Nespresso, Lattissima, Delongi or whoever decides on the design, pricing and features; by all means, have Engineers design the machine nice and solid, but ask a coffee addict about the features and details. Choose someone who truly enjoys using the coffee machines, just look at the coffee capsule sales!

PS - I like the lighting used by this machine!

On the Whole a Good Machine – Use only Nespresso Pods. Use only distilled, deionised water. (This means no scale, ever) This machine is fundamentally quite good. Its been reliable to date. reasonably well is borderline in its design so it doesn't take a whole lot to upset it. Such as trying to stretch it too far between good cleans and not having the control knob set just back from the maximum.

Other than that I would recommend this machine. Far better than the Cilitz that this one replaced.

I can't stress enough that distilled(or deionised water will not only give you a better cup of coffee without the chlorine, flouride, metal ions, particular matter and occasional sulphites of tap water, it will also ensure that you don't have any scale problems because the components of scale do not exist in real distilled (or reverse osmosis), de-ionsed water. You should be using this water in your iron anyway.

Love it !! – This is the best coffee pod machine I've had so far. DeLonghi is a very reliable brand. The Nespresso pods makes a beautiful cup of coffee. The milk frothing just adds that touch to a latte. The machine has paid for itself by me not having to buy a coffee at work. Show details

Machine itself is good but I don't like the pods – I am happy with the machine itself. The coffee isn't hot enough. I can't wait for the 2 year warranty to expire so I can try aftermarket pods. the toilet multiple times within the day.

I regret not buying the beans one. All I wanted was the cappuccino to taste like one from the servo's, Mcdonalds, Dome etc. etc.

I can't figure out how to change the milk/coffee quantity because they are really small servings.

The Water Hardness test was very inaccurate and the instruction for how to use it wasn't very good.

I take a coffee from this machine everyday to work. I end up having a couple sips and throwing the rest down the drain.

The milk taste really bad if sitting in the plastic milk container for more than a day or 2. So I had to poor a little bit of milk into it every time I use it. The milk also smells like plastic and off sort of.

I have tested the "hot water adapter". It doesn't taste very nice. I'd much prefer boiled water. I had it with my tea, it tasted like heated up tap water. Our tap water isn't very pleasant.

Very good but could have been great – Bought this as an upgrade from my previous Lattissima plus. since the water container is always at the back so you can't see it. The larger used capsule container with the see through viewing window is an improvement so you can actually see when it's getting full. The ability to make more different sizes as well as just hot water or hot milk is good too.

Only issue I have is that the coffee and milk should be hotter, it's a good temperature if you plan on downing the whole coffee immediately but if you don't finish it in 5 or 10 minutes then you're left with cold rubbish.

Priced too highly but still great – As far as automatic pod coffee machines go, this one takes the cake.
