Great quality
We bought ours now almost 7 years ago. I have been using it daily, multiple times a day. It still works perfectly and the result is the only coffee I like to drink black. None of the coffee shops can compete with the taste. It's endurance is remarkable.
The only issue I have, after 7 years I accidentally broke a piece of the tray and it seems to trigger the sensor to think that it's not aligned perfectly and then I have to fidget around to get it back working. I guess I have to exchange that part.

Tastes like dish water
No matter what I've tried over the last 5 days since purchasing this machine, I can't get a full bodied cup of espresso. Instead I get very watery instant coffee style flavour with no body, thickness and hilariously small amounts of crema. Stepped up from pods thinking this would be a good investment. Will be returning this product. And yes, tried adjusting grind and dosage etc, just makes it stronger dish washing liquid. Nespresso pods were 100 times better.

Hi there, We're sorry to hear about this and have reached out via DM to provide further assistance. Thanks, De'Longhi
Sorry Delonghi but you can’t fix a bad design. The brewing mechanism releases dry coffee pucks, which indicates bad coffee infusion, tamping and draw. You can’t get a good brew from a machine that tak...
Read morees 10 seconds to infuse and draw the coffee. The amount of people saying this is a good machine is actually quite scary. Makes me think they’ve never had a decent coffee in their lives.Fantastic Machine once setup properly
Great cup of coffee, easily made.
Can take machine with you on holiday
Make sure grinder on finest setting, water on hottest setting, dosage at about 5/8ths of knob turn for short espresso - the only button that should be used (top up with hot water for long black)
Easy to maintain - clean and descale

Pull awesome shots
I have the newer black ECAM22110B. I am very happy with this machine. Good adjustment options such as coffee grinder size and temperature settings. Which needs to be adjusted to suit your coffee beans.
I use quality lighter to medium roasts and I pull awesome shots every time consistently.
How to dial in for perfect shots
Finest grind setting ✅
When grinder is operating adjust grinder setting to the lowest setting then back it off to suit taste.
Highest temperature ✅
Hold B3 down when machine is turned off but on at the PowerPoint. Lights will come up on the machine. Then press B3 till you turn on all the lights then press B8 to select the highest temp. ...

Pretty good
I am very happy with the machine overall. The temperature of the coffee produced could be hotter. The functions and smooth running of the machine are good, however the milk steam wand could produce stronger steam to get the 'whirlpool' effect, so I could better practice latte art. The machine functions are pretty straight forward and user friendly. After descalling my machine approx every 6weeks, the machine makes a horrible noise like something is stuck or in the wrong place and all warning lights come on. It doesn't do this after every clean,...
Read more however has done a couple of times. I use quality roasted coffee beans and or ground coffee, so I am very happy with how my coffee tastes and turns out. I would look at a different brand of machine to purchase in the future as this was our first proper coffee machine. For the cost of the machine I was expecting a better steam wand, however have since been informed that I am used to commercial coffee machines and what I was after would be at least double the price. So I will shop around in future. This is still a very good domestic machine that is easy to use and clean, it produces good quality coffee and saves us money on take away coffee.Purchased at Harvey Norman for $699.

Impressive value for money.
I bought this for my partner (ie so I can have a good coffee when I visit lol) who hates mess in the kitchen and wil not even consider a manual machine with a separate grinder. It features foolproof, mess free one touch operation. You literally put coffee beans in the hopper, power on, press one button and that's it. No "bArisTa" skills required.
The steaming wand, although slow, produces excellent foam for cappuccinos, flat whites, hot chocolate etc. You can also dispense hot water for americanos/long blacks or tea.

Superb coffee maker
A really sturdy semi-manual coffee machine by DeLonghi that makes consistently desirable coffee. Milk froth quality is quite good, and sufficient options to modify how strong you want your coffee to taste. Excellent choice for both coffee bean and ground coffee lovers.

Very Good, Easy To Use
Have had the machine for over 3 years and find it to have ease of use, basically only need to make sure that there is water in the container, coffee beans in their container and empty the grounds when the indicator shows that is to be done.
Some initial experimenting with how fine you want your beans to make coffee to suit you is required, but can be done in one or two cups of making it the way you enjoy it.
I have had one problem when the cleaning light did not turn off after a system clean, takes about 30 minutes, and had to repeat the process a second time but apart from that I have had no problems.

Love the coffee,
We have had the machine for just over 12 months and it’s in for its second repair.☹️ We do love the coffee machine we use it daily,it’s easy to use and makes a great cup.The error/cleaning light stays on constantly which is annoying,we have friends with the same machine and theirs stays on too.Not sure if I would buy the same brand again.

Read moret, it generally means the process was interrupted, so try running the descale process again with just water (no need to use chemicals a second time). Ensure the water tank is filled to the Max line each time, as the machine counts the amount of water run through the system. Please reach out if you have any further questions or require further assistance and we will be more than happy to assist. We are glad to hear that you have been enjoying the cups of coffee your machine has been making. Thanks, De'LonghiYes we have tried this and the light still stays on,the machine is now in for its third repair in 16 months the repairer is going to have a look at this problem as well.

Top quality espresso. Has been in for repairs though
The good:-
Great coffee. After taking some time dialling in the machine's grind size and puk size, it makes really excellent coffees. At the default settings you would get weak coffee.
You do need to use high quality roasted beans to get a good strength infusion though. Nothing from the local supermarket worked too well. I found it pushed water through too quick and couldn't get an infusion time >12secs with standard supermarket beans.
Overall great machine for the price. We love it.
The not so good:-
The steam tap is a bit stiff and feels li...

Questions & Answers
When using the short coffee for two cups too much water is delivered overflowing the cup. Any suggestions to reset to standard settings?
My grinder got beans stuck so I took it apart dry cleaned it. The grinder sounds good again but it won’t deliver coffee- it grinds the the light comes bean on & no coffee. Any solutions please
Is there any way to adjust (permanently) the amount of water to coffee ratio? I use a full coffee shot but want more water running through the spouts. I know I can press the water button after the coffee has finished but this then makes a weaker coffee. Atm I'm needing to stand there and, once the coffee has gone through, manually hold the button for a few seconds to let more water pass through the spouts before the coffee grounds are released into the waste compartment. I'd rather not have to stand there and wait- my last machine I used to push a button and walk away.
Yes there is. Switch machine on, let it do it's initial clean until you get the 2 green lights on. Hold the small 1 cup button until it starts flashing then press again when happy with water quantity....
Read more You have changed the default. James Hammond recommends 4:1 ratio in cup, so that would be 40ml water in cup for espresso as it doses about 10 grams. Good luck! That's very helpful to know thanks! I'll give it a go :)
So I tried that and it worked so thank you so much :) - you're a life saver! Well, maybe not a life saver but... no actually we are talking about coffee so definitely a lifesaver lol (I searched for a...
