Great coffee if you chose the right pods – First time owner of a pod machine. I am very happy so far. I have the one with the milk frother. It takes just over a minute and the milk is hot and frothy like a real coffee shop. The coffee is great it takes about 20 seconds and it does fit mugs and even a tall glass. The welcome pack had a few I didn’t like way to strong but some were real nice. I like the way you can buy third party pods as well. Easy to clean. Very satisfied so far. Show details
Consistent and love the foam – The machine makes very consistent coffee and extra foamy milk which i love. It's compatible with Macoona coffee capsule which is great as more easily accessible from shops. I also like the options of making espresso shots and bigger cups. Show details
Great coffee, easy to use – This machine is so easy to use and clean and makes amazing coffee within minutes. It is reasonably compact and doesn’t take up a lot of kitchen bench space. There is a very good range of capsules to suit all tastes and although you can get very strong pods in the range, they are not bitter like some cheaper brands. New flavours are always being released. Highly recommended for ease of use, price and flavour. Show details
Best coffee machine ever – You don't need to be a barista with this one click of the button machine with no mess to get a perfect coffee every time. The coffee pods are perfect, no mess, no measuring, perfect coffee. Nespresso has a great range with favours to suit all. Easy to clean, easy to use. Show details
Excellent Machine – I have purchased it more than 4 years ago and still works perfectly . Somethinmes I think about replacing it justcto have a different colour or newer model but the machine has been used everyday since I bought it and has never given me any trouble. I only rescaled once . Fantastic product .it seems that it will last few years more Show details
Even my 5yo knows how to use it – Got this machine awhile back as a wedding gift, been using since. Huge range of coffee pods to choose from at a reasonable price. The milk frother that came with it did breakdown, but could be replaced with $80. I'm a fan of Japanese charcoal roasted coffee, would be great if that could be available. Show details
great coffee machine – Makes a great cup of coffee always. Is easy to maintain and has lasted me for years without any trouble. The coffee still tastes as good today as it did when I first bought it. Quick and easy to make a cup of coffee. The taste has been very consistant Show details
Great Coffee Quick and Easy – I bought this machine after having problems with an ALDI Expressi machine. I was able to set the machine up to suit the size of my coffee mugs and since then it dispenses the right amount of coffee every time. The machine is easy to use and keep clean - I use the machine rinse through before and after use - and it makes consistently good coffee.… Read more
The milk frother is also quick and easy with an ingenious agitator and non-stick lining making it easy to clean. There is a huge range of Nespresso capsules now available (from Nestle and other suppliers) so there are flavours and intensity to suit everyone. Having owned the Citiz now for about seven months I am very happy that I bought it. The only criticism I have is that the coffee could be slightly hotter but this is easily corrected by a few seconds in the microwave (yes really - try it). Otherwise it would be five stars.
Brand New - Water Leaked through electrical components on start up - Manufacturer and Harvey Norman – Equipment was purchased but placed in a room whilst we were waiting to move. On first flush of system at first time use - water gushed through electrical component area. Took back to trade partner where machine was plugged in and wouldn't even turn on (evidencing water had got into the electrics of the machine). Sent back to Nespresso… Read more
refused to replace and just "repaired" the item.
Call from Delonghi - won't replace faulty equipment that has had water damage to electrical advised that water leakage through the electrical components still has a requirement to be "safe" and that it wouldn't hurt or cause damage to a person or property. (Sorry I beg to differ water + direct contact with electricity = BAD) Advised that all products are tested to ensure that they are working and safe - obviously this was the one that was missed!
I will never and would advise people to stay away from Delonghi and Nespresso products.
Would not mind if item had been repaired if it leaked anywhere else OTHER THAN THROUGH THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS. But I am not happy that Delonghi and Nespresso are happy to send back an item that has had damage due to water done to the electrics.
Good for making single cup of coffee – I've had this machine for 3 years and am generally pretty happy with it. It's a good machine if you only make one or two coffees at a time. It's very easy to use, simply turn it on, pop in a pod. Push either the large or small cup button and that's it. The aeroccino is also easy to use, fill to level with milk, put on the lid. Push button and wait… Read more
a few seconds.
Seems perfect, except the aeroccino winds up with burnt milk stuck to the bottom of it. It is absolutely impossible to clean. You also need to thoroughly clean it after every use, so if you are making more than one coffee, you have to clean it out before you make the next cup otherwise the milk burns to the machine and tastes awful in the coffee. So this is not a machine to buy if you enjoy having coffee with 3 or more others because it takes a good 5 minutes per cup.
The aeroccino actually stopped working altogether after about 12 months and costs roughly $100 to replace. I ended up buying a cheap one from Aldi which works just as well.
The machine also burns the coffee after making several consecutive cups. Usually, if I need to make more than 4 coffees, I'll make them in batches of 3 with a cooling off period in between.
The water tank is small and needs regular refilling. The container that holds the used pods is small and needs to be emptied after every 6 or 7 pods. It also fills up quickly with coffee water/sludge so needs to be washed regularly.
It's quite a high maintenance machine which is unfortunate considering the main plus for pod coffee is that it's quick and easy. None of the parts are dishwasher safe, so you have to wash them by hand. If the machine isn't cleaned and descaled every couple of weeks or so, the coffee starts to taste bitter.
The Nespresso pods themselves are great. Easy to use, taste great, lots of variety, however about 1 out of every packet either doesn't work or tastes burnt/bitter.
So if you use it to make one or two cups of coffee in the morning before work, this machine will do the job pretty efficiently.
Bad pods or Burnt coffee – Sometimes a cup will be good, other times, it feels a little burnt, or the opposite the coffee was super weak, using the same flavoured pods. Cleaning isn't too bad, you need to do it after every use the collection box is small and starts to smell, and we clean it thoroughly but sometimes the coffee comes out burnt regardless. The water tank requires filling often as it is small and it's rather noisy.
Great Coffee ~ So Quick n Easy ~ So Easy to clean – Bought my Citiz with Milk at Christmas time - got a great offer & price. Sold my bigger machine for about what this one cost. So easy...just insert capsule & press button. Consistent coffee every time...but you MUST rinse milk frother between coffees or it will eventually burn on bottom. After a while I found the lattes weren't making a crema so… Read more
contacted Nespresso Club who were fantastic in giving me some tips which made a difference. This machine has already paid for itself in savings on "bought coffees". Friends say it makes the beast coffee they've tasted.
Amazing Office Machine – Super easy to use and clean. Nespresso pods save me so much money. I would much rather pay 90c for a pod compared to $4.40 for a regular coffee in Brisbane City. The Coffee tastes great and the aeroccino always makes perfect milk. I could not live without my Nespresso machine.

frother problem like all the other reviews – Citiz with frother on platform. Worked very well with 1/2 and 1/2 for few years. Not hot not frothing. Not sure if Nespresso will cover repair. I had separate frother that was not good at all for the few months I had.Think I will buy a frothed from another company.
Absolutey perfect – Far nicer than most coffees you buy in the shop. Simply cannot do without it. Just magnificient. Is it lovely to be able to have a cappuchino whenever you feel like it and know it will be perfect no disappointments. You will never regret buying it and wonder why it took so long to get one.
Loving my coffee machine – Finally after reading and checking out the coffee machines available settled on the Citiz. Finding it a breeze to use. I got the black one and it looks very classy in the kitchen. The coffee capsules are easy to insert and a little box catches the used capsule so when full you can dispose of them. The milk frother fits nicely to the side in it's… Read more
own little slot. I mainly use Skim Milk for a cuppaccino which froths really nicely. I use the spring for froth but for everyday coffee I just take out the spring and the mixer works just as well. It even gives a bit of froth to your coffee. A quick rinse of just inside the milk frother straight after using, keeps it cleaner.
The water tank sits behind the machine in it's own slot so no accidents of knocking it over. You are able to see when it needs more water.
What drew me to this machine more was that I could put a small cup on the raised tray but I can also push the tray up and put a larger coffee cup on the drip tray to get a larger coffee.
All in all, love this coffee machine. Easy to clean, looks stylish in any kitchen
Milk frothier – Has anyone had any problems with the milk frothier not frothing the milk properly. The machine is not 12 months old. I clean my machine after every use. The milk seems to froth up and then drops down and just seems to have bubbles on top. I don't get the milk burning. The coffee Problems with milk frothier
