What did I expect? – I got these to try awhile ago now, whilst they do clean the hair very well the deep cleanse one at any rate, the soothing one still burns and itches, so what I’m doing is mixing the two of them together with a 100% natural baby shampoo and that’s working fine for now. I love how my hair feels after using it, but yeah it’s not great, working fine… Read more

is like a blanket term for it’s not bad, but my scalp still burns a bit either way.

I will continue to use it on my ends though, together with the QV one as both work well together when used there.

I was doing this and than washing it off with the Clean & Pure soap and than putting it into the ends and that worked until it didn't, got pretty severe burns yesterday after doing that.

So again was hoping for a shampoo I could use that doesn’t burn and this one still isn’t it.

If the baby one had higher suds and less orange oil smell it may be the best for me who knows. But yeah it barely suds and the smell is overpowering. Best to mix it with another shampoo honestly.

Dry and itchy – Following the use of this product, my hair and scalp felt excessively dry. Not only did I experience an unexpected dryness, but I also developed an itchy scalp in the following days, which I had never encountered before. (No allergy.) I used the conditioner from the same brand, too. Show details

Can I give this more than 5 stars? – After suffering many years with dry, itchy scalp and losing count of creams, lotions, prescription medications etc. which did not help I tried Dermaveen Shampoo and Conditioner and my problem is finally solved! Have not even finished the first bottles of these products and my problem appears to be over. I can recommend these products without hesitation. Show details

Intense itching – At first, it was a miracle! It was the only shampoo that got rid of the dry flaky parts of my scalp after trying Antidandruff shampoo (I realised I had dry flaky scalp and not dandruff). Initially it was so soothing and gentle to my scalp, ridding 99% of my flakes. After 1 month continuous use, with approx 5 washes per week, my scalp is starting… Read more

to itch like crazy. I cannot stop scratching it. I used both the shampoo and conditioner according to the instructions. My scalp was never itchy to begin with, only flaky and dry. Now 20% of the flakes are coming back, and my whole scalp is itchy. Also, I’m starting to notice my hair becoming more drier.

Wouldn’t recommend – Used dermaveen shampoo and conditioner for 4 months, washing my hair every 2-3 days. In the first 2-3 weeks noticed it got rid of excess oil in hair. After the 4 months my hair volume dramatically decreased as it dried my hair out causing it to go brittle, dry and therefore break. Having now to go to hair dressers to get intensive treatment to… Read more

rectify the issue. Having had brought multiple bottles of dermaveen which are quite expensive, I am very disappointed and now have to spend more to again fix the issue.

What happened?! – Bought last 2019 and even put positive review here, but eversince they changed the bottle, the content has changed too. While using, my hair sticks together and too dry while washing and drying. I got so much hair loss , which was a surprise coz the reason I bought this last 2019 was due to hair loss. Now, I will the throw this almost full bottle… Read more

It contains SLS Sodium Laurel Sulphate – My first time using Dermaveen shampoo and conditioner. Because it contains SLS which causes headaches, redness and itching I would never use it again. German studies of 2000 people 42% had adverse reactions. I have sensitive skin. But this product caused itchy scalp which I do not want. Do not use this product use a more natural one with no dangerous contents. Show details

Mixed opinion – I am using this product both shampoo and conditioner because I seem to have an allergic response to many toiletries. The product is lovely to apply, albeit another review also commented on the difficulty of squeezing the conditioner out of the bottle. Unfortunately, every time I wash my hair with this product I sneeze and sneeze, so I'm really wondering what they've put in it that causes such a reaction. Show details

Great product – I have itchy sculp n dry hair. After the first time use, my hair is so smooth even without using conditioner, I thought maybe it was because the way I blow dry my hair, I gave it another go, it still gave amazing result. Dries out your hair – I've purchased this shampoo and conditioner to combat my itchy scalp problem and dry hair ( it has oatmeal in it that should moisturise your hair). What I loved about these products is that they are fragrance free. I am sensitive to fragrances. When I first used it I was impressed with the quality and thought I found my holy grail shampoo and… Read more

conditioner. The shampoo washed hair well and the conditioner detangled it pretty well as well. I enjoyed using them both together. The shampoo minimised itchiness of my scalp but not completely stopped it. Unfortunately after one month of using these products my curly dry hair have dried out even more. These products turned my hair into a birds nest. It was dry and super frizzy. I found conditioner didnt moisturise my hair very well. Shame, as I had such high hopes for these products. Sadly will not repurchase these.

Love it – I bought this shampoo after noticing dandruff around my hairline, my friends have always told me i get dandruff in my hair too. Anyway i bought this shampoo because my scalp was itchy and it was a little expensive in my eyes but… Read more

New formula doesn't work for me! – I have been using the shampoo for 20 years very successfully for dry and itchy scalp. My new favourite – I bought this Shampoo at my local pharmacy after everyday shampoos had been leaving my scalp irritated and very itchy. I'd previously used Selsun Blue to help with a sudden dandruff issue I had but found it quite chemical smelling and it left my hair looking fried. This shampoo is my new favourite, I don't think I'll switch to anything else for a… Read more

long time. It smells lovely, washes my hair well and leaves it feeling silky and smooth. It also completely calmed down my irritated scalp after two washes which is exactly what I was after. I'd always prefer a more 'natural' approach to scalp care so this works really well for me.

Why have they changed the formula? – Have been using this product for a number of years and it was the only one I found that works for my sensitive scalp and skin. Started a new bottle last week that had a 'new improved formula' sticker on it. Now getting stinging and itchiness when I use plus hair feels like it has been stripped. Very disappointed.

Love this product – Was recommended this shampoo after suffering continuous itching patches on my scalp. I always previously used expensive salon shampoos & conditioners. Dermaveen makes my hair soft & shiny. The smell is a bit dull so I spray a small amount of perfume when hair is damp and it smells divine. Another thing I do is add a small amount of essential oils… Read more

Gentle, great for eczema and dandruff – Normal shampoo dries out my scalp, making my eczema and dandruff manifest more severely. I've found that this shampoo is very soothing, lathers well and does not give me an itch. The down-side is the smell as I do love a nice fragrant shampoo + conditioner, while this one is very medicinal-smelling. It also makes my hair greasy after only a… Read more

day or 2 without washing, while I could go for at least 3 days before.

Overall, great if you want a break from harsh chemicals on your sensitive scalp - it really provides relief from eczema and itching. However, not one I would use on a constant basis due to the smell and less effective 'cleansing' factor.

Been using for years, still happy – Normal shampoo just irritates and makes my skin flare, been using this about five years, tends to leave my hair a bit limp if I condition also, so this is one shampoo you can use without conditioner even on colour treated hair. I will alternate this shampoo with poo bars etc, but still find they can irritate my scalp, I have never had "burnout"… Read more

with this shampoo either. Reliable, safe, use it on your baby, play with other shampoos till your head hurts then use for the sweet relief, smells like almond essence. Now available in supermarkets.

It's ok but not for me – I have a very sensitive scalp with a touch of eczema which is very minor but the itchiness is uncomfortable. After trying several shampoos that irritated my scalp, I briefly tried the "no poo" method (bicarb) which made things worse. I decided to give DermaVeen Oatmeal shampoo a try. I've not found that it calms my scalp but it doesn't irritate… Read more

it either. The shampoo cleanses my hair very effectively, however I find it too harsh and stripping on my fine hair. I know there is the option to use conditioner in the same brand but all conditioners lead to oily and lanky hair on me. To lessen the stripping effects of the shampoo, I apply the shampoo without massaging it in and leave to sit for a few minutes. I actually don't mind the smell, it is a bit strong (reminds me of marzipan) but it's not noticeable once its on my scalp.

So far so good – I have only used this shampoo 3 times but the results are promising. I am no longer getting an itchy scalp a day or so after shampooing and my hair is soft and shiny. Remains to be seen whether I am happy long term as numerous shampoos I have tried have not worked after a few weeks. Hence only 4 stars. I'm being cautious.
