The worst customer service. Taking the payment and already a week of no contact regarding tracking codes or anything....
Extraordinary service – Ordered the item on Thursday afternoon. Got it Friday morning. Half way across Australia. Awesome service and great price. Thank you guys, nice work - see you again soon.
Great experience – purchased a new keyboard case for an amazing price and it was delivered to my door within a few days.
**Beware ** misleading advertising , false prices on items sold – ***beware ***misleading & dishonest advertising.. Rude staff , take your money and then lie about why they cant provide advertised goods... *****not good enough accc*****
Avoid Derringers at all costs – I wish I had read the other reviews before buying from Derringers. I bought a $1400 Fender Telecaster. Should have saved my money and bought a second-hand Squier instead. The neck on the guitar is unplayable. No quality control and the warranty/returns process is a joke. Do not waste your time or money with this lot. Avoid!

enquiry into Derringers about the model and queried whether the guitar was brand new or not. Sales Consultant Andreas kindly got back to me via email to confirm there was one brand new in the box and to get back to him if I wished to continue purchase via his direct line for 'speedy transaction' & 'shipping priority'.
After two weeks of thinking about it, I spotted the big baby taylor model was now on sale and thought it was a sign to purchase it.
Still slightly hesitant, I rang Andreas on his direct line (which he provided me in my first email) to commence purchase. I wanted to double check again that the guitar was brand new in the box AND had the same features as advertised in the picture. Andreas kindly said he would open the box to check it all out and give me a call back. Andreas rang me back later that morning to confirm they had a brand new big baby taylor with a black headstock and red pick guard, as I asked, as advertised, and I paid over the phone.
Unfortunately the guitar that arrived was a completely different specification than the advertised picture on Derringers Music website. (see pictures attached). Brown headstock/brown pick guard. Again, not as advertised, or as Andreas confirmed.
I immediately rang Derringers office and spoke to Elaine who kindly put me through to Andreas. Andreas said that he thought I had requested the 'tortoise shell pick guard model' that is very clearly brown rather than the very obvious red textured pick guard that is advertised and also failed to remember my request to confirm if the headstock was black.
Regardless if I had requested further information/clarification, it was completely the WRONG model advertised. Andreas said that they have 15,000 items advertised on their website and they had obviously made an error advertising this guitar model..the wrong model in my case..
I was offered a refund and collection the following day, but I decided it was still a lovely guitar for a good price and to keep it. I can't fault the delivery time as it was very efficient. However, its simply not good enough and I would advise future customers do be wary or to be very VERY thorough in their enquiry before purchase.
Not how I envisioned my first purchase of a Taylor guitar and I wouldn't mind, but I am quite catious when making large purchases online, hence why I reached out twice (email & phonecall) for clarification before purchasing.
A long review but hopefully helpful for someone like me who tends to read company reviews before using them.
Best Price – I've bought a number of items both instore and online over the years and can't fault the level of service, pricing and range of products. Andreas has been excellent to deal with and he has been accommodating when purchasing online and allowing me to pay in instalments.
Opened guitar box – Before ordering, the online shop told me the gig set was brand new and the box had not been opened. I asked about this specifically as some shops may sell displayed products at lower prices. However, when it was delivered, I found the box of the gig set had been opened by someone before shipment. The guitar tuner provided always has great difficulties in tuning low E.
Shizz gaslighting service, dont bother! – Not sure what their gripe is, going for refund! Won't deal with again!
Simply the best staff with great service – The staff at Derringers are just great. A pleasant and awesome experience with my Fender bass delivered interstate in 2 days. Just awesome. Thanks guys.

different state. He also rang up to ensure that the card used was mine and I like the step Derringers takes to lower the risk of online fraud. The following day I called the city store and spoke with Chris, as the product was being shipped from there. He followed up with an email to state the product had left the store and would get to me in possibly a couple of days. The next morning the courier had delivered. Great stuff. I'm really happy with the product too - the sound, variations and functions are just fantastic. Thanks Derringers - great stuff.
Exceptional Service – Andreas found a mandolin deal for a good product not normally sold in Oz. He also worked to get me an exceptional price; all the while with no pressure when I dropped the ball for a couple months. Thanks, Mate. I will be back.

Great service!! Great store – I recently purchased a Roland VAD706 drum drum kit from Derringers. This is a 10k spend!! They were exceptionally helpful and got me a really good price. It was delivered to my door ( I'm in Nth Qld ) with no dramas at all. Big thanks to Jack in the drum department. He was amazing. I cannot recommend them enough.

Highly recommended – I submitted an online enquiry late in the evening and received a response 1st thing in the morning. Did not hesitate to match the offer that was offered by another site for the Yamaha PSR-E273 61-Key Portable Keyboard. Sorted out the deal over the phone and my keyboard was shipped to me straight after. Jake was very efficient all throughout.

Fantastic online purchase experience – I can highly recommend Derringers Music in Forestville. I purchased an entire PA system from their online store. I got the best rates, and top service from Jake Morris and the team. They even accomodated an upgrade of one of the items. 5 stars to Derringers

On time and Cheapest Advertised! – Ordered less than a week before delivered, Gretsch 5232, love the guitar, love the punctuality! Ordered a humbucker off a store over east for my birthday 2 weeks prior to this purchase, paid 20 bucks express postage and still waiting. Paid 0$ for this and arrived over 3 weeks earlier and set up was awesome
Simple, fast and great experience – I submitted an enquiry through their website to see if they could do a deal on a guitar they had in stock. Got a phone call within 30 minutes, struck a deal we were both happy with and had the guitar shipped to Brisbane in 3 business days. Great experience.
Can Not Price Challenge – Can't price challenge. No response when presented with a price challenge on particular gear. That's bad customer service if I may add. A simple no would have been acceptable instead of ignoring a potential customer. Maybe it was to much of a challenge for Derringers to compete with.

expertise shone through. The guitar arrived well set-up, with transport insurance covered by the store. After-service care was also provided when I needed to ask Andrew a couple of questions over the phone. Wonderful transaction and purchase!

marshall as the lasteat firm ware made it just as bad and have not heard back from them . Only postive experience was the manager he is very professional great sales man and a nice guy but this store is dodgy i should of connected the dots haha. Waste of money. Do not buy 1 in stock items from these guys ull pay full price for floor stock garbage .
Product advertised for sale but after 1.5 mths still no delivery!!! – Product advertised online for sale. Purchased and paid for the item up front. After 6-weeks, still no product.
