The product itself is great and I look forward to using it,.. However the delivery of it left much room for improvement. I live in a gated community and to enter one must emter a code which allows me to open and the courier can get to mu home. On this occassion it was delivered at about 5.30am and left outside our main gate - luckly one oneighbou found it anf brought to me .... not impressed Dick! Show reply
I ordered an item not knowing that they are now part of Kogan (the same company that secretly charged me a $99 subscription fee and the ACCC has taken to court a few times now). “Dick Smith KG” (as they are now known) then sent me the wrong item. I have contacted them 3 times over a month and still no response, so I requested a refund via PayPal. Don’t waste your time with this company and avoid their SPAM emails. Show details
They simply market products from overseas, and take longer than predicted to ship it. The fact it comes internationally is intentionally hidden, often misleading. Products often have inaccurate description. This website is simply a gamble, and I encourage you to look elsewhere for *products actually shipped from within Australia*.

with no trouble online and in-store). They referred me to their marketplace seller, who said they would give me a refund but only if I paid in full for postage. The problem is that the item was falsely advertised and I expressed that I just wanted a full refund. Dick Smith kept referring me back to the marketplace seller. No one wants to take responsibility. So I passed on the issue to the ACCC and told Dick Smith's I had done so, quoting my complaint number, hoping the issue would be resolved quicker. I still have heard no resolution on this. The second item never turned up, so I flagged this to Dick Smith who again passed me onto the marketplace seller, who said they would look into it and to follow up. They said if I still didn't get the item within a week, to contact them again, so I did and flagged this to Dick Smith. The problem is Dick Smith doesn't want to deal with any of it, the fact that months have passed by now and they keep referring me to the marketplace seller. Dick Smith please take responsibility and deal with the issues at hand. All I understandably want is a refund.

Very fast delivery from Dick Smith. Have used the 8-page cross cut shredder a few times now. It's supposed to cut paper into 4x35mm pieces but doesn't consistently do this - see photo. residue. I've twice had small compacted pieces of paper lodge in the feeding shute making the machine inoperable. They are difficult to remove. Overall it is doing the job and I'm happy with the machine, particularly given the low price.

Be careful who you buy from – I ordered an item simply on the basis of Dick Smith's name. When I ordered my product I then noticed they had taken out $129.00 for some "FREE TRIAL" I did not want nor ask for this and only after many complaints and threats from me was this refunded. Be careful who you buy from these days as all it not as it seems.
