I contacted the Sydney store (which I believe is the one which shipped the camera), requesting advice on how to complete the clean and for assurances that (for future customers) staff be advised to check items before shipping. The reply was:- "This type of item is normally has a dent, and dirt. To compensate we would like to offer you a $20 voucher code that you can use on your next purchase. Or if you would like to return the item, we will assist on how you can return it. Please advise" I have now sent a response stating that I am not interested in their offer of a voucher or return but a guarantee that they fulfill the claims made on their website. It has now been over a week since that confirmation and I am still waiting for the money to be returned.
What is also concerning is that a quick Google search still shows the same microphone listed as in stock and discounted, despite my experience being told no stock was available at the time of purchase. The stock levels implied online are extremely misleading, and I have attached a screenshot showing this.
I have followed up multiple times but have not received a clear explanation or updated timeline.
I will update this review once the refund is actually received, but at present this remains unresolved and extremely frustrating.

I selected click and collect, they advertise it will be available within 4 hours, unless it needs to be shipped to the store from another store, then it will be 24-72 hours. me everything is fine, and to just wait for my email. 72 hours passes. It is now outside the time window they specified. I contacted them again, and once again, told to just wait for the email -- I don't accept that, and continue to press and press. Eventually, they acknowledge that they don't have any stock, and that they never did try to ship it to the store, and that I would need to wait 3-4 weeks, or maybe 2 months or more. They can't give me an exact date, so, I ask for a refund. They offer me store credit or a $50 voucher to stay on their wait list. I pushed for a full refund to my original payment method. I was told they would need special approval from management which would take 24-48 hours -- once again, I pushed until they agreed to give me a refund. They issued the refund and it took a few days for me to get the money, and then I was able to order the item from Amazon and it came within 1 day from Amazon. If they have your item in stock and you can hold it in your hand before you buy it, might be ok, otherwise, buyers beware -- check the reviews, there are so many people saying their money gets held ransom, don't be the next victim.

missing item was out of stock so they couldn't ship them, but by the time I successfully placed the order, it was still instock, so they had probably sold it out in store after my order.
And they gave me only 1 item, then pretended the order was completed. Only scammers have this behavior since if I don't call them to check or I don't remember my order, they never reach out to me first to inform the issue with stock. Professional businesses like Centrecom, Scorptec, MWave, PLE did contact me promptly when my order had any issue.

Your answers in the call was in a needless attitude, and the call hanged like forever before being picked up. more money buying a replacement oem wind muff from speedyspares to fix the issue. The bottom openning of the replacement oem windmuff i bought is tighter and seals properly.

They had the same model in a different colour in stock the entire time. That option was never proactively offered. It only appeared once I applied pressure.
They then agreed to supply the alternate colour at the same price. As I was overseas briefly, I requested dispatch on a specific agreed date after my return. They confirmed in writing it would be sent that day via Express Post.
It wasn’t sent.
I had to follow up again. It was dispatched two days late, late in the evening.
Then I discover delivery from the East Coast to Perth is quoted at 7–8 days.
That is not Express Post. That is standard freight dressed up with a label.
From start to finish this required constant chasing and escalation just to receive a product already paid for.
If you value your time, sanity... think carefully before ordering.See less

I'm still waiting on the refund but have been told it should go back onto my card in the next 48 hours. Waiting weeks for a refund of around $2700. Digidirect was happy to take my money for a transaction without stock being available despite the website saying it was. Digidirect is only going to refund money once stock has arrived back at their facility.
