I bought the pair of headphones on may 18th, waited a week and heard nothing, contacted them via email and they told me they wouldn't have stock until july. I rung up and got a refund, but I had to pay 2% merchant fee to cover the order...

Today I purchased a camera bag from Philippe at the Canterbury store. He was a breath of fresh air.I was greeted at the door by him. He was engaging and happy to talk "cameras" even when i had purchased the bag he was only too happy to show me cameras that interested me.. Same thing happened to me like a previous review. Order a camera was told online that it was in stock even took a screenshot they then denied it was and was on back order which wasn’t stated online. This is misleading and a scam to get customers. Gross business tactic. Will be getting a full refund.

refund, I wanted to exchange it for two replacement Hoya ND filters. This would have added up to bigger order than the original purchase! The 67mm filter was unused & still in the original undamaged packaging. Their returns policy on the bottom of the emailed invoice clearly states that they will 'exchange or refund incorrectly ordered products'. There is no mention of a time limitation on this policy.

They have refused to exchange... beware!

I won't be shopping with them again.

it states the the product is pre-order and then they leave negative reviews because it didn't arrive 'on time' or wasn't in stock) so I'm glad I called them beforehand. I was super happy with the customer service and was told that my lens would arrive within a couple of days if I select express shipping... To my surprise it arrived within 24 hours!! I'm so glad that I purchased it from this company! The lens also comes standard with the 5 year Canon warranty (unlike the ones that ship from overseas) I made sure it was a legitimate lens recognised by Canon Australia. I'm one very happy customer and will definitely order from this company again!

talk about the camera and they were a great help and also assured me it was Australian stock and it came with Canon's 5 year warranty. I placed my order on the Thursday 18th March. I received my order confirmation and I thought I would also receive a shipping confirmation in the coming days to let me know the company had dispatched my item.. However, I checked my emails on Monday 22nd March hoping to see a shipping confirmation and much to my surprise I had an email from startrack saying my order was onboard for delivery!! don't price match. So I offered my card for payment for filters and told them it was bad customer relations for such an amount. They shrugged and asked me my name because of credit card, I told them I am buying filters off you, you do not need my name other than it is on the card for you to see. They said we need your name, I asked for manager who told them it ok to put ANY NAME in the system to seal the deal. What an absolute ludicrous way of running a business. They lie to themselves so I imagine customers have no chance of good service, never again in this store. Went to Georges in George St great store, I recommend people do the same and give Digital Cameras a miss.

Fantastic After Sales Service – I bought a Canon Imagepro 1100 A2 printer for printing photographs. The printer has recently been released as an upgrade from the previous P1000 model. during the set up. I contacted DCW who referred me to the Canon help desk to try and trouble shoot the problem. Canon soon confirmed the printer needed to be returned and DCW then did all the rest and arranged for a new printer and arranged with Canon to pick up the faulty printer. The new printer arrived just over a week later and is working fine. Great after sales service and real customer focus from DCW. Highly recommended.

Appalling customer service – Do not shop here. I ordered film from this store and they shipped the wrong kind of film, they then disclosed they didn’t have the film they advertised either. They refused to refund unless I returned the unwanted film which I’m unable to do as no longer in the country. They are rude and difficult and refuse to take responsibility for their error.

In stock levels incorrect - poor delivery time frames and customer updates – After ordering a lens on the 15/07/21 which was listed as "instock, dispatched within 3 - 5 days" recieved a phone call on the 24/07/21 to notify me that it had yet to be delievered to Digital Camera warehouse (DCW) and that it was expected to be dispatched to me on the 30/07/21. I have then contacted DCW on the 04/08/21 to be notifed that it would be a further 2 weeks. At least the refunded me my money so that i could shop elsewhere.

the extras I wanted to discuss. Put my order together and emailed me the itemised quote in a few minutes. The service only got better when I went in to collect and pay for my hear a week later. Tauhid told me he had updated my order - they had a better price for the camera I wanted and it also included a free monopod, which I had wanted to add at a later date. Everything was neatly packed and ready to go. happened so I e-mailed them a few days later, asking about progress with this order. No response, so I phoned them on the Friday. They told me the CP1200 is obsolete and not in stock, and they were waiting for Canon to supply some new CP1300 printers.

Anyway, eventually they shipped a CP1300 printer to me for the price of the old CP1200 and they threw in a pack of consumables worth a further $45 without a word of explanation. I wish they'd have been more communicative, but maybe their Christmas parties distracted them.

unable to fufill the order – these guys took my order, i paid for it in full including delivery. two days later told me they couldn't fill part the order due not stock left, however continued to advertise the product for a further 4 days after my purchase. they refunded the loss of order they couldn't supply, no compensation, charged me the full freight, just poor service in general.

(Sydney CBD) a salesperson started checking where my order is, and after good five minutes found it in the storeroom. The paperwork was not completed, so that gave him a chance to ask a few non-photography related questions, including where I was born (?!). In return for my openness I received rather generic assurance that “this is a good camera”. So, not much to complain – but also not much to make me want to visit the shop again. Just another visit at a barber shop. Next time – eBay.

had a great customer service experience with that too.

On some things, their prices are particularly good, even compared to the grey market. On others, their prices are on par with other Australian retailers. Yes, on some things you'll find them cheaper in other Australian merchants, and for some things, they'll be cheaper than other Australian retailers. That's pretty much the case in just about every industry. If everyone had the same specials all the time, what would be the point? An example at the time of writing is the Sigma Art lenses - they're pretty similar to grey import pricing, but about $100 cheaper than many other Australian competitors.

I haven't had to deal with them in terms of any warranty processes or refunds, as I haven't had a problem with any of the gear that I've bought from them. Based on my exchange experience, I don't think I'd have any problems, but I can't say for sure.

From my discussions with them, the staff generally seem knowledgeable and appear to undergo training. I work near the Kent St store, and was walking past the other day. I looked in to see Sony representatives (judging by the logos on the shirts) talking to the staff about new products before the shop opened, and there seemed to be quite a few of the staff there. I've had some open and honest discussions about comparisons of camera gear with the staff and they've made some good points that helped with my decisions. If you're willing to have a chat to them, rather than just rushing in and out to buy stuff, then you'll get much better service than you would from online retailers.
