I thought I would give DWI a go. I ordered a mobile phone in good faith from DWI over three weeks ago. I just received the dispatch confirmation today. Terribly poor delivery performance. They claim on their website they have been swamped with orders from Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales. My experience has been terrible. I have emailed them several times only to get fobbed off from their inflexible customer support team. It was a planned Christmas present and it wont arrive in time. Next battle I will have with them is when I return it for a refund. Buyer beware!

Making a profit from excessive credit card surcharges
I was about to purchase a product valued at over $500 online when I noticed on the final screen a surcharge for paying by Mastercard that was 2.5 times more than the actual cost to the business of a credit card transaction. MasterCard / Visa is surcharge is 1-1.5% but DWI are charging over 3.4% of the total cost. I sent an email questioning this and was it an error, after several emails later they eventually responded and stated it wasn't an error. Clearly its a company that doesn't play by the rules so I decided not to be stung and ended up paying a 'higher advertised' price elsewhere and no surcharge

Very poor after sales service
Purchased a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 which started having issues a few weeks before 12 month warranty expired (which is order date, not the date we received) Sent photos of problem with request for repair or replace. Received advice to return to Microsoft locally (Microsoft website stated warranty expired 6 months earlier!) Received email from DWI on how to prepare device for return (Very confusing, related to mobile phone, not tablet) Finally requested advice on how to return only to be told "Sorry that as refer to the record, the warranty is passed. We suggest you to have it to inspection locally by your cost. Thank you." Purchased the same device from local retailer and have a 2 year warranty! Should have read the reviews 12 months ago :/
I have never been let down by this company
I've ordered 7-8 products including phones, cameras and laptops from DWI since around 2010. Their products have always arrived amazingly quickly, in perfect order. They are usually (but not always) the cheapest on the net. They have some fantastic offers if you happen to be looking at the right time. How they get goods door to door from Hong Kong to the Blue Mountains NSW within 3 business days is unbelievable. I have read some very negative reviews about their carrier since it was merged into Toll (Toll-Ipec) but I have never had a prob...lem, and I've lived in two different places since dealing with DWI. I agree with somebody further back saying he thinks they have improved: delivery times were still pretty quick at 5-6 days in the past, but they've now halved! A company I am very comfortable ordering from.
Pleseantly surprised by the service
DWI was really good considering that I had bitter experiences with HK based websites. DWI was professional, genuine and has provided me good quality product. Even standard shipping was fast. I would recommend purchasing from DWI. They provide the best rates around internet.
If it wasn't for bad service by Toll delivery would have been 5 stars
DWI have good prices and easy to use web. But please stop using the horrible Toll for deliveries. They didn't update heir tracking page regularly and their delivery person didn't even knock my door while I was at home and had to pick it up personally from alternative pick up point.

I have a Tamron 16/300 purchased four years ago. It will not autofocus and just makes a squeaking sound. Is there a way to fix this. Seems to be plenty of similar reports on Canon site but no one actually says how to fix it. Can you help pls.
l bought Samsung s7 phone it is 3 months old and it is def in that it continuously drops in and out l have been to Samsung service centre and they tell me that because it is an international phone and not an Australian compatible
phone there is nothing they can do to fix, what can be done from your mistake on sending the wrong type of phone , please advise as to what l can do? thank you larry peterson
Hi Larry - unfortunately I do not think there is anything you can do. DWI will NOT repair (at their expense) or replace the faulty equipment. I learn't a valuable (and expensive) lesson...do not buy from this company!!! I have a very expensive paper weight now :(
