trip from Christchurch to Queenstown. The vehicle was the same one that we had booked (7 seater). Customer service was excellent and everything was explained well before the rental commenced. Rental bond was released within 12 hours after the car was dropped-off.

Would give them below zero if possible. My daughter had to cancel her booking (within 24 hours of having made it) due to a death in the family and they are still refusing to refund her money unless she produces a death certificate. Who does that a… Read more

week out from it happening?? Not even the airline asked for that and they refunded the money within days. They are immoral, insensitive and dodgy.

Excellent. Booked a car from the airport with Thrifty at much less than direct with Thrifty. Had no issues with Thrifty when picking up car although we had booked via a 3rd Party. Would definitely use again. Show details ·  1

The car rental trough discover cars.com was not honored by Avis when we arrived in Aruba, claiming that there not any cars available.Trying the get the refund from discover cars.com is a hassle There is a phone number but no answer.Don’t make the full payment unless you are ready to loose the money.

It’s a scam service. I booked a car and I was told I will get the confirmation from the supplier within 24hrs and my card was already charged. offering another car, although it was not my fault. I felt like I was getting blackmailed as I had very little time to arrange an alternative option. These service providers are dodgy and scammers.

My overall experience was pretty good. If I could change one thing for next time, it would be to buy reduced or zero excess protection at the pick-up instead of during the online booking. I realized it was different from what you can get when you actually pick up the car. Show details ·  1

Victoria, finishing in Lorne. The car handled the many different road conditions encountered reasonably well for a 1 litre 3 cylinder motor vehicle and took us where we wanted to go. It struggled a little going up hill but I was driving very conservatively given the price of fuel.

The only concern arose after making the reservation. My understanding at the time of booking was that it secured the vehicle with a small deposit, with the remaining balance payable directly to the rental company upon collection. However, shortly afterwards, I received an email from Discover Cars requesting payment of the outstanding balance. The wording of the email suggested that payment was required through them, which created some confusion.

To clarify, I followed up independently and confirmed that full payment was not required at that stage and could instead be made directly to the rental company, in line with the original agreement. This inconsistency was somewhat discouraging, and greater transparency in communication from Discover Cars would be beneficial.

Aside from this issue, the overall rental experience was very positive. I would consider using Discover Cars again in the future.

Overall great experience! Was tricky trying to find the pick up point for shuttle. The agents on the ground (in Melbourne) were very helpful! I managed to drop the car off 6:30am and was even booked an Uber to the airport to catch an early flight. Show reply

I like to use DiscoveryCars to find budget friendly car rentals. With little work with AI you can find really good ones, save money and use DiscoveryCars service to book car. With many rentals I got only single accident with rental, and custom support helped to solve it. Show details ·  1

I recently rented a car for a short trip and overall the experience was fine. The vehicle itself was clean, mechanically sound, and comfortable enough for everyday driving. smartphone integration or a modern touchscreen, and this car didn’t offer that. It made navigation and media a bit inconvenient, especially compared to most current rental fleets.

Overall, the rental was acceptable, but the outdated infotainment setup definitely took away from the experience. A simple upgrade would make a big difference.

Great experience with this company. It was my first time renting with them and I am happy with the overall service. The only thing I would suggest to improve is the use of tolls and how they get charged, as it was a bit expensive and did not have any previous information on what to expect when using the toll services in Melbourne. Show details ·  1

I have used Discover Cars to book a rental car several times and the experience has always been a good one. The website is easy to understand and use, information about the rental is clear and concise, and the overall experience is stress-free.
