Do not buy!
Got this vacuum 6 months ago and within 3 weeks we lost suction, we got it fixed and now the engine sounds like it's misfiring and there's a burning smell. We won't buy a hoover again. Show detailsYou get what you pay for!
Good suction for the first 3 months! Then couldn’t suck the froth from a beer. Oh well, my bad…you get what you pay for! Obviously Hoover are not producing vacuums like they used to. Don’t waste your money. Show detailsDodgy turbo function
The dog and cat turbo head doesn't push forward - its useless. Otherwise just a standard vacuum. Hard to clean the heads as well. Show detailsWorst Vaccum Ever
Used this vaccum 5 times then it lost suction.sent it back to be fixed they said it was something clogged up the filter. Used it again couple times now the suction has gone again.Beware don't waste your money on this rubbish.this vaccum doesn't deserve even a star. Show detailsHoover Cat & Dog Turbo is terrible
In Greek mythology, Sisyphus was punished by Hades and condemned, for all eternity, to force a rock up to the top of a mountain every day only to have it roll back down to the bottom every time it neared the top.Whenever I use my Hoover Cat & Dog Turbo I am reminded of Sisyphus because I too feel as if I have been condemned by the God of the underworld to complete a laborious and futile task until the end of time.
Absolutely terrible product. 1 out of 5 stars, and it only even gets that because you can’t leave zero. Show details

Absolutely and honestly the worst vacuum that I have ever brought. Worked as expected for about 3 months and slowly but surely lost it's suction. It makes all the right noises as usual and I replaced the filter pack , but now I look at it and say " never buy a vacuum from Godfreys again. Totally frustrating for a user that really likes to vacuum - but not with this waste of time and effort Dog & Cat vacuum.Hoover are no better for selling this let down vacuum.
Unusual to find poor reviews , I think that Godfreys don't publish bad reviews ; or post the buyers true review. Show details

. The main cause for loss of suction is a blockage, these can occur in the head, rod, hose, canister and filters, this can be indicated by a red light illuminating on the body of the machine between the on/off button and cord retract button. It is recommended to check and clean all areas after use and to also replace the filters every 6-9 months. This machine does also have a suction level dial to change the level of suction for each surface area. I use this with the rotating head on carpet and omgsh it is FABULOUS! I've had mine for about 3 years with zero issues. Strong suction, and the nob can be adjusted for less suction. I wash the little grey spongey filter thing every few uses with mild detergent until the water comes out clean, letting it air dry near an open window. I suggest this to anyone who asks, and will buy it over and over again, if it decided to break one day! I'm waiting for hoover to make a backpack version :P I have 3 cats so lots of hair! Suck hair off a carpet? You are kidding me ! It would not even such a tiny feather of a plate. Stay Away from this product. Or you will not only waste you money but lose a lot of weight and raise you blood pressure. If anyone wants it free, they could have it: before I chuck it in the bin for plastic recycling. . We would recommend to check the suction setting on the machine and also for any blockages in the head, rod, hose, canister and filters. The filters may also be due for replacement, it is recommended to replace them every 6-9 months. If you are still experiencing issue with the machine it can be taken into your nearest Godfreys store, with proof of purchase, for further inspection. Regards, The Hoover TeamNot pet effective
Just got one for Christmas and first use it didn't suck up any cat hair at all. It hardly even sucks up on the tiles too. For a vacuum thats suppose to 'suck' it really sucks. Show detailsPerfect! Couldn’t fault it if I tried!
This vacuum has been used on carpets, floorboards and Lino and each time exceeded expectations. I was actually grossed out by the amount of dust and pet hair it picked up! Perfect for 2 dogs and 3 toddlers! Show details · 1Best corded vacuum we've ever had. So we bought another
Best corded vacuum we've ever had. So we bought another. First purchase was 6 years ago and still running. accessories were starting to show wear and hose was stretched so it's been demoted to garage and car duties only. We purchased a 2nd unit 2 years ago when on sale not expecting it to last this long. Picks up everything imagineable Show details · 1A vacuum cleaner that really does the job
I purchased this vac about 2 years ago and it has made cleaning my huge house a breeze. I have 2 cats and one being a long haired fluff ball who leaves his fur everywhere I needed a good cleaner to help lift the fluff with much effort and this cleaner with its rotor brush mechanism is just fantastic. You do need to make sure you thoroughly clean all filters and ensure the rotor brush is free of hair etc to achieve best results. Would highly recommend and the price is very affordable unlike most well performing vacuums. Show details · 2Excellent for its price
Does a great job for this price range. I like the variable suction speed. A bit noisy at top speed is the only con I see with the vacuum cleaner.Show details · 1
I DO NOT RECOMMEND
Until I bought this https://www.godfreys.com.au/hoover-dog-cat-turbo-bagless-vacuum-cleaner-1 I had a Dyson for probably 16 years, and new had a problem, but sadly it died, and I bought this https://www.godfreys.com.au/hoover-dog-cat-turbo-bagless-vacuum-cleaner-1 I'm very disappointed, the powerhead is almost impossible to push, and considering is a dog and cat vacuum, pet hair clogs up around the filter, and subsequently the machine loses power - there is nothing that would recommend about this machine, very disappointed. Show detailsExcellent vacuum for the price
I use this vacuum in the house on carpet, vinyl and furniture, as well to vacuum my car interior. For the price (I paid $149 at Godfreys), it is excellent. The model I bought is 1800W and has excellent suction. It isn't too loud either. The dust chamber is easy to empty, except I find the hose connecting to it gets stuck when I remove it. The HEPA filter needs to be washed regularly because the dust builds up in it and the vacuum loses suction. I think a vacuum with a bag is best for pet hair; it provides better suction and keeps the dust out o... Read moref the filter for longer. The only other issue I have with it is it can be tricky to change the attachments to the hose, they tend to get stuck. All in all, I think this vacuum is great for the price. I live in an old house with lots of pet hair and it keeps the place clean. No bags is a plus for me to reduce environmental waste.Questions & Answers

Hi Renee, The foam filter is at the back of the machine facing toward the machine. The white filter is placed on the outer.
Hope this helps.
