Service is abominable – You are on your own here and if god forbid you want to buy something forget it. First nobody even tries to help. Then when you finally find somebody he knows absolutely nothing about what’s right there on display and shows so little interest in selling it to you you wonder if they ever sell anything. Then it turns out it takes 16 weeks to produce… Read more

it - yes that’s SIXTEEN weeks. Who wants to buy furniture that they’ll only get in four months? What do they do meanwhile. I left. They won’t get my business with that kind of service. Then I come here and see the average number of stars is 2.something. Oh Domayne! That’s a very sad statement indeed. But fits my experience. Lift your game for goodness sakes!

Good at selling - not so good at getting you the product or customer service – We purchased some sofas there in September 2020, and were told they would arrive in early-mid January. In mid January we sent to the store and they told us that actually there is a delay and that they will arrive mid-February. In mid-February I called them and they told me that the sofas are still a month away... At no stage did they ever… Read more

proactively call me to let me know the sofas were running late... In February I spoke to a lady who was very polite and helpful and she said I should be able to get some sort of discount or at least get free delivery, and to speak to her manager. He never returned my call, but I finally spoke to him today and he said that he cannot offer me a discount despite the fact I have had to wait 6 months for the sofas and they never reached out to me about it. I get it - the business only made $462 million profit in the second half of 2020, and they didn't do that by being nice to customers who they had lied to! I'd hate for them to sink that money into an IT system that actually takes care of the customers or alerts salespeople to delayed orders or upcoming orders. But is my last purchase from the store. And I'd put up a photo of the sofas but I still don't have them...

Not fit for Purpose – We purchased an outdoor setting, in six months the wicker table top dried out and started to fall apart. After we complained they sent the manufacturer to check. They determined it was our fault because we didn’t cover the outdoor furniture. I say a cheap low quality product not fit for purpose.  Show details

Worst customer service and organisation of a business Ive ever experienced – Never in my life have I written a bad review on a public forum- working in customer service myself it is something I always restrain from as there are other ways to point out issues, problems, grievances etc- in this instance, Domaynes lack of regard to listen to us and refusal to rectify problems has been utterly disgusting. 3 months ago, we… Read more

spent over $2000 for a sofa at Domayne's Belrose Store. We have recently moved into our first place together and this sofa was the ONLY item we decided to invest in and buy new... a decision which has proved to be a HUGE regret. We paid for 5 year warrantee, delivery which (as noted on the invoice) is a difficult one due to our living in a second story apartment, and all the extra's and add on's you could want when you buy your first sofa.

After signing all the paperwork we were told our sofa would take between 6-8 weeks to build- as two people who have never bought or owned anything custom made were had no idea it would take this long, and considering we didn't have any furniture at the time we then had to pay extra for a loan sofa. I understand the extra payment for a loan sofa however this was the first instance where we felt like Domayne were not giving us all information in order to make more money from us. We paid the extra, were told our loan sofa should arrive that same week, and went home happy with our purchase. A few days later I had not heard anything rom Domayne about the delivery of our loan sofa which had to be organised at least a few days in advance as we both work full time so would have to organise to work from home on the day of the delivery. I had to chase this up, calling Domayne, where I was told our loan sofa would not be delivered that week at all as the warehouse was closed! I asked why this wasn't told to us when we paid for it, and then I was transferred to another person who said they would contact the warehouse and get back to me. I didn't hear back that day or the following so again had to follow up and call the store- where I was told the sofa would in fact be coming the next day. Luckily I was able to work from home and our loan sofa was delivered.

Upon delivery I had a conversation with the delivery men about the difficulty they may face when delivering our custom made 3 seater sofa in 8 weeks time- something I believed they would pass on to Domayne in order to make the correct arrangements. For the next 7 weeks we waited to hear an update from Domayne but received nothing.

8 weeks after initially purchasing our sofa we once again had to ring the store for an update on the progress of our sofa and were told "Oh, yes, it should arrive next week and we'll be in touch." Next week arrived and we had no contact. We then called the store again and was told it would be coming in two days. My partner organised to work from home and the warehouse attempted to deliver our sofa- to not avail. They were unable to get it up the stairs, so delivered our cushions and said they would have to discuss with Domayne another way of bringing the sofa up to our apartment. Why wasn't this conversation discussed when you first realised our sofa wouldn't be able to be delivered via the stairs? We have already paid for a "difficult delivery" fee at this point and noted it to you on Day ONE!

We don't hear from Domayne for a few days despite having all of our cushions, and still the loan sofa. So again we call, and we are told there is no way we could have our sofa delivered this week as it was "in for a treatment"?! My partner told your employer that she knows it isn't in for a treatment, as this was the organised SECOND attempt at a delivery so any treatment should've already been completed.

We were quickly transferred to another staff member who said they would speak to the warehouse and get back to us as the sofa will need to be delivered over the balcony and we will have to pay an extra $300! Again, we have already paid over 2k for this included the "difficult delivery fee". We then spent days arguing with Domayne about this fee and were told that our salesmen would've explained to us before purchasing the sofa that the customer is in fact liable for any extra fee's the delivery requires. WE WERE NOT TOLD THIS INFORMATION and if we were, I wouldn't of spent over $2000 for a sofa they may not be able to deliver!!! Eventually we settled on paying $150 for this balcony delivery, but were still not told a time or date. I have to mention too, this entire time Domayne has not been organising with the warehouse, they have handed us OVER to this external company so we are having to text back and fourth with the warehouse in order to find a delivery date! When we couldn't get hold of the warehouse I called Domayne, was put on hold for twenty minutes whilst trying to be transferred to our sales rep, for him to then HANG UP the phone and the store CLOSED! I have proof of this from the 20 minute call log history and then the call forcefully ending without any communication. I tried to go online and speak to a 24 hour agent, but all I got was an automated response directing me to a complaints form. It was a complete waste of time and so disrespectful, is this how you treat all your paying customers when mistakes are made? This entire process has been a MESS. Domayne have been unprofessional, untruthful and at times impossible to even contact! We still have not received our sofa, despite having to call ONCE again this morning to have an update. Why are we chasing a service we have paid this much money for? Why are we having to deal with the warehouse instead of Domayne organising this for us? And most importantly, why does our sales rep and management of this store continue to ignore us and not give us any answers or explanations? We have spoken to ONE employer who genuinely assisted and acted in a professional and genuine way, her name is Quinn and I would like her to be recognised for being the only capable member of staff from Domayne we have spoken to. Domain have attempted for the THIRD time to deliver the sofa this morning and they have brought the WRONG SOFA! We obviously sent it back and spoke to Domayne who have confirmed they have no idea where ours sofa is now, and they will try to locate it and get back to us. So now our $2000 sofa is lost under Domayne's care. We are ready to cancel our sofa, demand a refund for the money we have paid and never use your services again. We look forward to hearing back from you, but maybe we won't! Fern McNulty

Fantastic Service – My wife & I found a great recycled oak dining table on sale and was helped by fantastic salesman Michael. He then helped us with lounges. spoke to a "girl" (sorry I don't like that term for a grown up but an infant would have been more helpful), who said WHO told you that (with attitude). I said "your staff did". She said no, impossible I will have the salesman ring you back. This did not occur on any of the 4 subsequent days until I received a call on day 5 saying your furniture will be delivered next Tuesday, which was back to the original 8 weeks. Good I thought. Hasty that thought turned out to be.

Tuesday arrives and the van turns up. Armchair fits into the house but not the sofa. It is taken back to the warehouse for "disassembly, return to house and reassembly". Delivery guys tell us that this happens not infrequently.

It is now Friday and after 1-2 calls per day I have been told such a plethora of improbable and contradictory tales by the "girl" which could only have been plucked out of thin air, and not based on any tangible information, that I have no idea if we will ever see the sofa again. She accused me of not having measured the item, which I assured her was not the case. I had spoken to the salesman once and he said that the sofa split in two and fitted together again quite easily and he did not know why the delivery guys did not do this. The salesman at least made some sense, but has been missing for the past two days (understandably as he works on weekends). I told Madame today, politely, that I would prefer not to talk to anybody but the salesman as he is the only one who seems to have any knowledge of what is going on and she said GREAT and hung up on me. I can only guess that she is sick of being called out for being completely clueless and trying to blame the customer. The right hand does not seem to know what the left hand is doing here.

I now await some intelligence of when I will receive my $4,000 item. The chair is very comfortable and I long for the other one.

Belrose Domayne, worst service ever! – I purchased a White Leather Lounge from the Belrose store in early February 2015. Finally end of May 15 it arrived, (I was told it would only take 6-8weeks) The wrong colour?? problem with the colour? I go to the store the very next day & it turns out they made an error in the order! Instead of it being the Stark White that I ordered (floor Stock) I was given this beige, creamy colour, now who's colour blind! No apologies were made, but abuse from one of the female staff instead! The salesman then placed a call to the supplier in front of me and was told that I can have it in 6 weeks?? Well today is the 19th August & I'm still waiting.

The franchisee there is the rudest woman I have ever encountered anywhere! She made NO attempts to contact me after I kept calling and asking for her. She had taken my money, but I had nothing to show for it! I ended up emailing head office letting them know of the way Id been treated, finally she calls me & still NO apology, but "we have given you a great discount & 6mths Interest free" I thought any of the Domayne stores could've done that.

This is most definitely not the case, had we been told that we simply would not have placed the order.Whilst the chair looked fine it certainly would not be worth waiting ten weeks for.
