Would score 4.5 if I could. This does a stellar job for daily vac and mopping. Like any robot vacuum, he does as good of a job that you prepare him for (eg lifting furniture to allow for better access). purchase as it makes daily cleaning much easier. Still definitely need a thorough vac weekly and think he is better suited to hard surfaces than carpet. The app is a bit slow / laggy so that is the only downside.

have always struggled to avoid mop streaking. With this new unit the floors come up streak free and shiny. There are so many settings to choose from. I usually get the vacuum to clean the floors each morning while I’m out walking the dog. If my dog does leave marks on the floor (drooling) during the day I can select the vacuum to clean just that area. I have so much more time on my hands and the floors always look great. Highly recommend.
We had problems right from the moment we took this out of the box. There appears to be an issue with the dock, or the cable as it kept switching off even though the dock had been left on, plugged in and there was no issue with the power outlet. expensive. I contacted support who wasted time and my patience asking me to verify the purchase instead of helping me. As if I would have asked if I was not a purchaser of the product. They then referred me back to the store, which wasted more time as the store couldn’t help at all. It made me very annoyed as we couldn’t work out if the product is faulty or if it was our user error. We followed the instructions on the guide. We have tried an identical cable from another device to see if the error is the cable. This was a high end purchase for us. We expected neither the issues nor the poor response from the support team. I will update on whether or not changing the cable has helped or not.
Update: we tried three sockets, and two cables. The dock kept shutting down after about 15 mins. We returned it to the shop as we are not able to use it like this.
We tried a second machine. We will report and see if this one does better.
Update: the second machine does appear to be working. I will say the issue for us was not the device itself. The vacuum cleaner does a decent job and I am a big fan of the automatic dust bag emptying and the fact that it washes and dries its own mop pads. Just the dock we had problems with. I will report back if this changes.

Hi I’m very impressed with the Dreamie X50 and the Dreamie L40 I’m very pandantic about dust I actually followed mymachines around with my Dyson 15 max gen the one with the lazer light and both machines are very thorough I can’t recommend them higher. Show reply
Follow-up · Set up was very simple around 10 minutes to map the house the machine pics up very fine dust particles as I cleaned the filter after a couple of weeks and was quite surprised as my floor is generally spotless. The X50 is quite remarkable not touching anything chair legs ext.
Very happy with my Dreame x50 ultra, cleanse my English Oak floorboards perfect with no streaks also does a beautiful job on ceramic tiles in the wet areas. I am highly satisfied after my daughter encouraging me to buy one. Show 3 replies
Follow-up · Cleans the edges well, I move any obstacles in it's way most of the time so it gets in close. Very easy to clean I make sure I do it everything it finishes it's cycle. There's a slight buzzing noise but not loud like a vacuum, I don't mind it at least I know it is working. Overall do yourself a favour and spoil yourself go buy one.

manually attach them making remote/overnight mopping a bit of a gamble. Customer service from Dreame is questionable - emailed soon after receiving about the mop pad issue and haven't heard back.

The Dreame X50 Ultra has exceeded my expectations. Excellent mapping, powerful cleaning, great obstacle avoidance, and a very convenient self-cleaning dock. Arrived and didn’t work. The worst part was dealing with their customer service which is appalling and slow. I had no trust in them after that and elected to get a refund instead of a replacement because I wouldn’t trust that they would help in the warranty period if anything went wrong. Not worth it when the after sales service is so bad.

reduced by $1k. After a week to get the item sent back they the took another week to sort the refund. I can't recommend them at all, if something went wrong with the Dreame unit I would have this level of service to deal with. I bought a Roborock Qrevo in white for $1,500 and I am very pleased with it.

I paid $3,000 for the Dreame X50 Ultra from JB Hi-Fi and it has been a huge disappointment. The mopping function failed within months. The mop pads do not auto-attach and fall off during use, so the machine cannot perform one of its main advertised functions. I even purchased new pads at my own expense, which made no difference. has been just as bad as the machine. Calls disconnect after about 5.5 minutes, making it almost impossible to speak to anyone. Responses have been slow, generic, repetitive, and generally unhelpful. Even after providing videos, emails, proof of purchase, and following troubleshooting steps, the issue is still unresolved. They want me to return the unit without any clear plan and after reading all of these other reviews it looks like returning it would be disastrous!
For a premium-priced product, both the machine and the after-sales support have been terrible. I would not buy from Dreame again.

empties the dustbin, washes and dries the mop pads, and is always ready for the next clean. It has made keeping the house tidy so much easier.
The navigation is excellent, it gets around furniture with ease, and I was amazed at how well it cleans under low furniture thanks to its retractable sensor. The app is also very easy to use, allowing me to schedule cleans and customise rooms exactly how I want. These are among the standout features that reviewers have consistently praised.

Follow-up · No, I’ve never have an issue of it getting stuck anywhere I have a two story home and I vacuum the mop my upstairs first and then I’ll bring it downstairs and it vacuums and mops so it’s pretty good with battery It’s not noisy at all

Great to have for daily use on tiles and wooden floor. It is not great on the carpet though. About 5cm from the edges it won't clean perfectly but easy to prepare manually before using it. It sometimes confused and glitching the map. Within 3 weeks I need to remap the house twice. But over all, it helps me a lot to vacuum and mop floor area. Show details · 1

Our kelpie sheds so much hair. Not a problem for the Dreams x50 at all. Neither is the sand, drool and drinking water drips that our fur baby generates. Loving this! I have not vac'd or mopped my floors since having this arrive 2 weeks ago. vac carpet ok, though doesn't get the suction I'd like ie getting fine dirt from carpet - though I'm happy to vac those rooms myself once every few weeks or so. intensity of the vacuum function. It's ability to reach right into wall edges with its extendable arm and mop heads which extend in and out as required is truly impressive. The amount of dirty water that was emptied after both cleaning events (on what I considered to be a fairly clean floor to start with) was staggering. It's ability to navigate close to and around objects will have your following it around in amazement like a child with a new toy. Can't report on its long term longevity yet but from initial usage I'm impressed beyond words. We don't have pets so I can't comment on that side of things.
Upgraded from an older Roomba without mopping function because the x50 ultra got great reviews on multiple sites/YouTube channels and the best performer on choice.com and it's been excellent so far, very quiet and doesn't bump into things, only thing is you have to adjust the settings so it leaves the mop pads behind to not go over rugs/carpet but that was pretty straightforward. 10/10 do recommend. Loving my Dreame robot vacuum, it does a great job on my laminate flooring and is great with pet hair. I have a golden retriever who drops lots of fur and this helps keep it under control. It also mops which is great. Love how it raises up to go up small rises. Highly recommend it Show reply
I’m just going to list the bad and annoying things about this product. 1: the app connectivity is horrendous, the device is connected to the internet and the internet is working at 100%, but the app keeps saying the device is offline 70% of the time. 2: it says It can clear 60mm (6cm) obstacles and cannot even clear half that, I have a lip step going into my bathroom that’s 32mm (3.2cm) and it fails at that every day, needed to install a ramp.
3: ghost obstacles, it will completely miss areas because it detects something is blocking its path when there’s actually nothing there.
4: after playing with every setting to make it work more efficiently it still misses a 30mm (3cm) strip along every wall in the house.
5: it actually does not tell you if it’s canister is full, I found out yesterday that the bag was half full when I went to empty it, which is weird because it’s been 2 weeks. Turns out the canister door was locked and actually couldn’t empty itself, so I had to empty it and can I say that is a pain with tweezers.
6: it redefines its map layout, it turned half my toilet into my bathroom even though there’s a wall there, and it was a hassle trying to to get the app to readjust it.
7: it says it’s supposed to be quite but I swear it’s the loudest one I’ve owned.

Bought this as we have a Labrador.. If you know, you know! The x50 is good, suction power is great, mops as it goes, great! My only issues, the sensors need cleaning everyday otherwise Cinderella (Cindy) does the loop of doom - goes around in circles, can't even find home base. And she also refuses to jump the baby gate when its opened, so that's mildly annoying. Thankfully I got it on special, but not really worth the $2k in my opinion.

out (ie most days) I just press remote start on my phone and always return to lovely clean floors. I had spent the same dollar amount five years ago on a Kobold Vorwek vacuum/floor mop system (where I have to do the work) and sadly I have to vacuum before I mop with the Vorwerk because the mop doesn’t pick up dog hair. Bottom line is that I love my Dreame X50 and I give it my highest recommendation.
