Needed More Support – The pillow was great but not high enough for me. I gave it to my Dad and bought another pillow from elsewhere that was higher (too high as it turned out) but I got use to it.

Smelly pillow and Poor customer service from Dunlopillo – We have been using our pillows for a bit without any issues but out of the blue both pillows started stinking. Our pillows are still under the 10 year warranty. We contacted the customer service twice already and they said will send a form to fill but that never happened. We are extremely disappointed. Show details

Terrible pillow! – One of the dumbest purchases I have made. Thought I will spend more on a better pilllow to replace my old $50 pillow. Used the Dunlopillo for one night and swapped it back to my old pillow which was more comfortable. The dunlopillow profile is too high and when your head rest on it, the sides feels like it lifts up and wrap around your head. It… Read more

is so uncomfortable.

Worst off, I am unable to exchange it for a different pillow due to hygiene purposes although I used a waterproof pillow protector. There are no pillows to test in the store.

Overpowering chemical smell and too high/firm – I purchased this on the recommendation of Scott Pape (The Barefoot Investor) and have been SO disappointed. I am very sensitive to unpleasant smells and the toxic chemical smell made me switch back to my previous pillow after a couple of hours the first night I used it. Even removing the pillow protector from the Dunlopiilo and airing it in the… Read more

laundry for a couple of days made no difference - the smell was overpowering. I decided to give it another go but only lasted two nights. Apart from the smell, the medium profile is too high and firm and, as a side sleeper, my ear was squashed against the pillow, becoming sore after a few hours. I felt as if I was fighting to prevent the pillow from pushing my head and neck up while I was trying to make a dent in it with my head to make it more comfortable. My neck also hurt the next morning, both mornings.

This pillow is not fit for purpose. I see others have mentioned that the quality has declined in recent years and that these pillows are not the same as the orginals manufactured several years ago. Possibly they are now being manufacturred in a different factory and the quality control is not as good.

I have returned mine to Harris Scarfe via Australia Post and am hoping for a refund. My previous $10 Tontine pillow feels like a cloud after this!

It’s all I sleep on now – I must admit that I never considered buying a latex pillow until I read the Barefoot Investor. Having tried every other type of pillow known to man, and still waking with a sore neck, I decided to give Dunlopillo latex a go. I originally bought a high loft one but it was too high for my petite frame (even though it’s advertised for side sleepers).… Read more

So I got the classic version instead. It’s better for me because I can sleep on my side or my back. I like how latex springs back instantly, meaning, it is always supporting my head and neck even if I roll over. With memory foam for example, it’s much more slower to spring back to shape. Latex is light weight & the springy sensation does take time to get used to. But overall it’s alot better to sleep on (cooler too). I take my pillow everywhere with me because it’s that comfortable. The only reason I gave this pillow a 4 star and not a 5 is due to the fact it is shorter (length ways) than a standard pillow. Which means that it doesn’t fit snug into a standard pillowcase which annoys me a bit. However, after some research, I found out that it’s cheaper for them to make latex pillows this size vs having a longer length mould to pour & set the latex into.

Sensational pillow. Every bit as good as my last one – I first received a dunlopillo in 2001, when we bought our bedroom suite (the retailer threw 2 in). I was instantly in love. It was supportive, super comfortable, and put any other pillow I’ve ever had to shame. Fast forward to 2017. I, embarrassingly, was still using the same pillow, but decided after 16 years it was probably well and truly… Read more

time to move on. I read the reviews that stated the new pillow wasn’t anywhere near as good as the old one.

After a bit of research I bought a bamboo one.

It was fine, it worked, but it was as though my old pillow was a 2017 Rolls Royce and now I was driving a 1970 Mini.

With column shift.

And a dodgy fuel gauge.

After umming and ahhing, and researching some more, i found Myer were having a sale on dunlopillos. Before I could overthink it, I bought one online using click and collect, got a text an hour later to say it was ready, and nipped down to pick it up.

The first night it felt hard and I thought I’d made a terrible mistake. But since then, my heavenly pillow and I are reunited.

Buy it. You really will love it.

Smelly and unstable – Comfort is personal preference, so I make no comment on that aspect. I bought the soft, medium profile. I found it unstable with little support for my head when back sleeping - my head would roll side-to-side. It also has a strong, unpleasant chemical smell. Lastly, this pillow is hot. Much worse than other latex pillows I've used. … Read more

I actually went back to my old Tempur pillow, which is cooler, way more supportive and doesn't stink.

This pillow was a waste of money for me.

Last Dunlopillo I will ever buy – This is the 3rd Dunlopillo Classic pillow I've owned over the years. The first one lasted 10 years, the 2nd one is on it's 6th year. But the new one I purchased is hard as a rock. It's nothing like the original. I can't sleep on it without neck and ear pain. Show details

Love it from day 1 – It’s hard to find a good pillow as it depends if your spine health, sleep style, preferences etc. The Dunlopillo classic suits me perfectly - very happy with the purchase. A bit expensive but not as bad as some of the other brands! Show details

They’re not what they used to be – I’ve been buying these pillows for five years, and they’ve been the best pillows I’ve ever used. Not too firm or too soft, they bounce back into shape, and serve as great spare pillows once they’ve lost their peak firmness. I replaced my old pillow with a new one - the same one I’ve been buying for years, and I immediately noticed the quality once… Read more

I opened it up. It’s not nearly as firm, it’s too soft and collapses at the corners, and not even my old dunlopillos do that. It doesn’t have the same firmness or bounce that they once did. I have my old pillow for comparison, and even my old dunlopillo has better firmness and bounce than this new soft, collapsing pillow. They’ve clearly changed the manufacturing, and it’s a damn shame. Don’t waste your money like I did, search for something better. If I could return it, I would.

Disappointing – I was quite disappointed with this pillow since I had full faith in it after the salesperson assured me it’ll be the best pillow I’ve ever slept on. Wow was she wrong. I thought giving it 1 star would be too harsh so that’s the only reason I didn’t. Now, about the pillow.... Firstly, the pillow has a rubber smell to it, I’ve used it for 2 months… Read more

and the smell is still there. I guess it’s the latex. Secondly, the pillow is just not comfortable, simple as that. I’ve been waking up with worse neck pain than ever before. Really disappointing. Lastly, the pillow just feels odd when I rest my head on it. I don’t feel any neck support and I feel like it’s doing more damage than good. Complete waste of money. I now have a much better pillow which only cost me $20 more than this one.

Not as great as everyone says – This is a great height, however the medium latex is like sleeping a on a deflated balloon, your head is unstable the whole night as it’s unsupported. Also the latex smell never disappears. I bought this due to everyone raving and gave it to my husband after a few nights. Neck is much worse because of the instability. Show details

Severe neck pain from using. Not made like they use to be – I have been using this brand for over 10 years however my purchase of 2 classics from Kogan left me extremely disappointed. I’m not sure if it’s because Kogan parallel imports and it’s made in an inferior factory or if it’s because dunlopillo have change their manufacturing formula/process. with severe neck pain and headaches. So I decided to stop using it for 2 weeks and went back to my old my old dunlopillo that I hand not disposed of yet. It was happy for the week I used it but had to dispose of it as it was in need of a change so again I went back to the new one only to find after one night that my neck was sore in the morning and the headache was back. Such a waste of money. They pillows been put in the bin and I doubt I could ever go back to this brand. It’s so sad as I was so happy for a decade and use to have the best sleeps.

Waste of money! – Bought it as I wanted more support for my neck. I've woken up every morning with an extremely sore neck and a headache. I did the quiz to see which pillow was my best fit being a side sleeper. It's too high and too firm and my neck doesn't feel supported at all. Don't believe all the hype. My partner has given up on his too, he thinks it's too firm and calls it the brick. I bought it in a two for one deal at Myer. Money wasted on this product. Show details

My search is over! – After buying at least 20 pillows and having none of them work for me (I have a badly damaged neck) I have FINALLY found a pillow I absolutely love. Gave me neck problems – This pillow gave me neck/shoulder problems. I ended up at the physio, chiro and massuer. Given the amount of money I spent, I was determined to keep using it (tried for two months) but alas, have finally given up. I rang Dunlopillo but they weren't able to provide any solution. Money wasted. Show details

Check before buying – Be aware there can be differences even though I bought four of the Classic- they were not all the same. I have slept on dunlopillo's for over 30 years. The pillow I selected was way to hard for me- luckily this suited my husband and I could take one of the "softer" ones. Don't buy online like I did, so that you can check in-store before purchase. It's a great pillow. Show details

soft and comfortable with a little odour – Purchased a classic Dunlopillo pillow from Kogan. The first talalay latex pillow ever used. The height is perfect for most adults when sleeping on it even though it just 13.5cm high. However, you can notice a little bit of latex odour if you are a side sleeper. Show details

Just the right height and perfect for side sleepers – I’ve always used latex pillows but find it difficult finding one the right height, that isn’t too heavy or hot. After a week on the dunlopillow classic latex I’ll be going to buy a 2nd. Perfect for me sleeping on side or back (I’m medium build 168cm 70kg male). Strongly recommend. Oh if worried about the smell some reported just leave it out to air overnight - that disappears after an airing & is normal for new latex pillows.  Show details

Terrible odour – Extremely comfortable but bad odour of latex permeates whole room. I have other latex pillows of other brands as well as one older dunlop one and no probs. Despite airing the problem persists and is embarrassing. No help from customer service. Not quality of previous years.  Show details

Terrible gave me a stiff neck and headache! – I bought this pillow on recommendation from the barefoot investor book, and what a huge disappointment! It is way too stiff and high, it’s given me a stiff neck and headaches! I never get neck pain and very rarely headaches. I’m glad I didn’t pay full price, but at $79 from Harris scarfe it’s still a rip off!  Show details

Not a great purchase – I am finding it very difficult to adjust to and can't do a whole night on it. It is unforgiving and uncomfortable and I don't think that it is worth the money I spent on it at all. It is not helping my sleep, or my neck issues so I would question the value of this product.  Show details

Very Poor imitation of original Classic – I have used dunlopillos for 40 years and the ones sold now are RUBBISH. EXCELLENT – Have been searching for a decent pillow for years. I could open a shop with the amount of pillows I own. This pillow is great. I bought the soft pillow instead of the classic and found it a bit low but otherwise its great. I have recommended it to other family members.

Not as good as Dunlopillo Latex pillow used to be – Having bought numerous of these pillows over the years because they were excellent, the last pair I purchased from Myer are not a patch on the older models. These pillows are smaller all round so are baggy in standard pillowslips, they do not provide the same support as before, and smell of burnt rubber. I rang Pacific Dunlop some time ago who were really not interested. What a shame these wonderful pillows have become so inferior

Best pillow – This pillow was given as a gift and is the best one I've ever had. Been using this for 12 years and still doesn't need replacing.
