Excellent fans, quiet at level 3 which is sufficient on a summer night, getting a bit loud at level 4 and above. You can set timer to turn itself off. Very pricey but wife thinks it is safer than the blade fans as we have kids at home. And she prefers Dyson than the Anko brand, so here we are. Show details · 1
It does nothing more than a normal pedestal fan, which is literally 10 times less expensive. It actually performs worse most of the time as you have to direct it right at yourself, which makes you freeze in the heat and it does not move around, just blows cold air at you and if it is pointing slightly away from you, there is no effect at all from… Read more
it working. Not sure what was the 'genius' idea behind this but it is not working for me at all. Yes, it is easier to clean but I am not lazy. This is the worst money ever spent!
I have 3 Dyson fans and all are about 1.5 - 2 years old.. considering they are stored in a cupboard for 6 months of the year and not used a lot... they are junk make from cheap plastic. Here are some issues, Plastic Color has turned from white to dull yellow, the fan jolts when in the move mode, very noisy, not great air flow... don't be st>pid I… Read more
I am and just buy yourself a good old cheap plastic fan which will push more air, will be quieter and won't fade a nasty color after just 1.5 - 2 years

Dyson AM07 Bladless Tower Fan Review | Is it worth $500? – Summer is here and what better way to cool down than with a $500 bladeless stylish super-cooling Dyson fan? We took the Dyson AM07 out for a spin and initially fell in love with it. You can view the full video review here: https://youtu.be/tTeLj72AvG0 ERGONOMICS It's very stylish, very safe and feels premium. However, things to note, while… Read more
it looks premium, it is a bit short, so it really needs to be placed on a stand to blow the air to the right areas.
COOLING
While it is branded Dyson Cool, it doesn't actually cool the air at all.
NOISE
While it does say 60% quieter on the box, unfortunately, it's actually quite noisy. To be useable it needs to be on at least level 3 which blew less wind and was noisier than my useless USB mini-fan. Another problem I noticed was that the noise coming out of the fan felt too artificial, rather than the whirring sound of a blade spinning, it sounded very much like a vacuum cleaner. After a week of usage my fan developed a high pitch noise, to be honest I'm not too sure if the noise was always there and my brain just tuned into it, or it was a faulty noise because my partner couldn't hear it, but it became unbearable for me.
FUNCTIONALITY
It comes with a remote control with 10 levels adjustment, which is actually a very good range. However, the remote needs to be pointing towards the front of the fan to register, and there's no indication of the level on the remote itself, so it's hard to tell if the clicks are registering or not sometimes and what level they are.
PROS
+ Looks premium
+ Dyson brand name
+ Easy to clean
+ Bladeless
CONS
- Noisy
- Not cooling
- Artificial sounding
- Expensive
OVERALL
Dyson is a great brand and they back their products with a good warranty and customer support (I love my Dyson hoover). I'm going to assume the high-pitch noise I experienced was due to a faulty unit, however that aside I was still left feeling disappointed with the experience :(
Expensive but worth it to me – I hesitated due to expense but bought from Harvey Norman, who thankfully delivered within two days, just in time for Sydney's worst ever heatwave. The lowest settings, 1 or 2, provide enough air to cool you down in bed, quietly and unobtrusively. Best ever (no, I'm not on the payroll). Having ten digital settings provides more flexibility… Read more
than in a pedestal fan. The maximum settings at around 9 or 10 are fairly loud but still not even close to my previous Heller pedestal fan volume. Also, unlike my old fan, whose chassis would be hot to the touch after a few hours' use, it doesn't seem to emanate heat.
The remote and timer feature are user friendly. The fan appears to be easy to clean, aside from the thin airflow ridges, and it's light to carry.
A possible downside. The AM07 has the feel of what I think of as a "sensitive thoroughbred" - brilliant when it works, but easily broken. The reviews complaining of early breakdowns also suggest this. The fan may not be ideal for those who treat their appliances roughly. For me, it's been wonderful, as it should be at about 20x the cost of a cheap pedestal fan.
A Benchmark in fans except for – Ok the reason I bought this product is because in my large bedroom I like to have a circulation of air during Summer & Winter (non stuffy). Now I don't need a heater as I have a suitable appliance which does that. I Bought the Am 07 Tower fan from Bing Lee (Homemaker Centre Alexandria Sydney) for $489.00 with a bit of haggling and the first… Read more
thing I noticed was the unique design and "click together" assembly of this product definitely a well designed appliance.
Now the AM07 has 10 speeds and an oscillating feature and a sleep timer + a remote which fits on top of the appliance neatly by a magnet.
Ok the performance even on low speeds gives you ample circulation of air plus being WHISPER QUIET (at low speeds you only hear a air circulation hum ! ).
Now I have only used this tower "fan" up to 2 out of 10 speeds just to circulate the air but atm it is winter here but IMO there is more than ample speeds for this product to "cool" even on the hottest nights.
Now having lived in tropical climates IMO there is no need for expensive air conditioning is that all you really do need is to have an air circulation system in place to give you a comfortable environment (like a ceiling fan)
So the Dyson Am07 is an excellent product for this function and this product has obviously been well designed and manufactured.
The remote is simple to use and easy to activate the previous setting mode.
Yes the product is a "benchmark" in excellence in this field.
Ok why did I give it only 4 stars...
THE PRICE $$$
UPDATE___________________
Had this fan for over 6 months now and the performance has been faultless and recently over the hottest summer nights here atm I have never needed to have the fan speed above the 6th speed (10 speed fan)...plenty of air circulation power!

Great product! – I actually love this product! It is obviously not an air conditioner but it has made my partners room that gets significantly hot and humid on summer australian days bearable. I do not regret buying this product, the air flow is powerful if that's what you want and it is slightly loud but I do not mind this. Easy to set up also Show details · 1
Great product – Bought a hot/cool air purifier. Very quite, cools a 25sqm when it's not to hot outside Obviously very stylish, almost a feature.... Not sure what all the negative complaints about noise, perhaps they live next to a train station and their ears are being mistaken
Really good, but could use improvements – I love this. It looks great, easy to use. Just feel for the price it could pump more air out! Other than that rally happy with this purchase and customer was pretty smooth. Show details

The fan cooling is fabulous. So quiet & the levels of air are great. It looks beautiful too. The problem is the d^mn led light. It lights up the bedroom at night like an airport! So ridiculously unnecessary! So basically useless for night use. So disappointed. UPDATE- Dyson responded however they're talking about a different product. This fan does… Read more
NOT have any setting to turn off or down the led light. Still disappointed. I had to cover the light with a blue tape which looks ugly. The light still shows thru but it's less intense & bright, but the remote control now doesn't work as easily. Sigh.

Dyson, Hype and hot air – First time buying a Dyson product, and the last time I’ll buy a Dyson product. I used it for at least four hours while watching a movie and after at my computer. Settings 1-3 are effectively useless, and 7 - 10 is way to loud so you’re just limited to 4 - 6, I was expecting it to be a lot quieter, a lot more air flow and made from better… Read more
materials for the price. Despite that, I was reluctantly willing to keep it just so I didn’t have go through the return process again, unfortunately all of a sudden a high pitch whistle noise starts coming from the fan, it got more and more obvious, I looked up videos to see if that’s normal operating sound it’s not, at that point I was done, submitted return, waiting for return label, I’m getting sick of high priced poor quality products, the Dyson’s stellar reputation is nothing but hype and literal hot air.

Noisy and unimpressed for the price – We’ve had a standard floor fan for years , in fact I think it was my husband’s 21st birthday present and it was starting to show its age so I thought I’d update. its definitely not worth the money, doesn't push out much air to cool you and is noisey and so very overpriced for not doing much!! I am soooo disappointed in my first ever Dyson product and will NOT being buying anything of theirs in the future.
Comfort at night – This cooling and air filtering unit really makes a real difference. Nights can be warm even hot and humid. This unit cools and cleans the air. As a hay fever sufferer I feel the difference perhaps more than the average. I fully recommend this machine. Show details
Overpriced and poor design – It looks stylish, but underneath it has some basic design flaws. Firstly, only above 7 does it give an air flow that is half way reasonable. Secondly, the air inlets are close to the ground and are constantly getting clogged with pet hair or just general dust. Has an intermittent problem of just stopping at some random time. Since it is out of… Read more
guarantee, is it worth it to go to a service centre and pay hundreds of dollars or just buy a less stylish but more economic fan.
Very expensive white noise generator – When our pedestal fan broke, my partner wanted something more "stylish" so we got this. Now, if it's a tower fan you particularly wanted, then this one may be the best choice... but if you want to keep cool, then I suggest you go for a regular pedestal fan. This thing is very noisy, and if you are more than a metre or so away, useless. … Read more
Also, it has to be placed on a stand, or table, otherwise what air it does blow is directed at your knees.
Finally, its quite flimsy too. Functionally, there nothing about it that really justifies its price.
Hopefully.... it will last long enough to make the purchase worthwhile.
Dyson disappoints once again – I really gave this brand a fair shot at impressing me with their products but sadly, this hasn’t happened as yet. I was disappointed with other Dyson products so I don’t know why I was hopeful with this one but here goes... This is just a fan. It doesn’t cool down your room, it really just circulates warm air, same as a $10 fan does. Nothing… Read more
special. It looks nice and chic but that’s about it. Another thing - it’s quite noisy and I bought the improved version which had something like 70% less noise than the previous one and I still feel like I’m standing next to a jet. Do yourselves a favour and just buy a decent fan, nothing over $50. This one is definitely not worth $600.
No refund given if you are not happy with Dyson products – The air coming from the fan is very weak and it is exactly similar to the very cheap $40 fan. Has the same sound like any ordinary fan. Dyson give instructions to shops not to refund or exchange any of their products it has to go through them so be careful to buy any of Dyson products. Excellent control of air flow – This fan cools the whole of my living area and I use it every summer day in Queensland. Exact same as the review below. Failed after two weeks! – From reading other reviews, it would appear that this fan can often not tolerate operating on speed 10. The unit displayed an F4 error code after operating for two hours. I turned it off and back on again (as you do!) but it has now completely died. Bought it online from Myers for $450 in the Boxing Day sales. It will be going back to my local store in Cairns tomorrow. It’s the DeLorean of pedestal fans...looks great but has an inherent issue. Amazing in the aircon – I use my Dyson fan when I have my aircon on in summer and it just pushes the cold air around the room faster and more efficiently than with my aircon alone. Would buy again and would recommend to anyone! Amazing product

Brilliant Fan but unable to clean properly – Powerful fan, but in Australia, collects a lot of dust. Unable to clean it properly around the motor. Good fan but too expensive – It is quite good / quiet / stylish / light / easy to care for. Used for 2 summers now & still going. Hopefully will work for years, as opposed to cheaper ones, designed for 2-3 yrs or less. And it is a FAN - not A/con (for some)! Expensive? Yes, unfortunately :-( Pity, no other colors available. Waste of money. Does not Cool. Its just a Fan! – I didn't want to give it 1 star as that's one star too much. The Fan does not cool in any way. Its literally just a fan. and a timer. Haven't had the need for a speed over 4 as yet - may have to wait now till next summer. Best bet is to wait till it is on special - best price I saw was AUD $469 - which I snapped up instore at MYER - Bing Lee did have the same price a month earlier, but the raised it back up to mid 500's at the time I purchased. Only thing my wife complains about is the light at night from the speed number down at floor level - it doesn't worry me, I sleep with my eyes shut.
Great Product – We are glad with this purchase! It’s a lot quieter than the usual types of fans. Very easy to assemble and use and didn’t have any issues. The remote control is a bonus! Would recommend this product to anyone who is willing to spend a little more for this product. Show details
