The battery runs out very quickly and if you're thinking oh I'll just plug it in and use it at the same time, no. The straightener cant be used and charged at the same time, the battery runs out faster then it can be charged. You'll be left extremely frustrated that you can not do your hair and end up running late for work. Also when it does work,… Read more

Unfortunately the battery just doesn’t last. I am on my second Dyson hair straightener and I will not be buying another one. Very disappointing as I have bought over the years many Dyson products and this one is just not good enough. After fully charging it, it lasts less than two minutes. Don’t waste your money. Show details

Follow-up  · I am happy to report that Dyson got in contact with me and offered to have my hair straightener looked at. It was replaced - hopefully I will have better luck with number 3. I thank Dyson for getting in contact in regards to my issues with this item and l am happy to say that I am once again using the Dyson hair straightener.

I love the fact that it's cordless, I can take it anywhere. But the plates are pulling on my hair and actually hurt. Dyson have now repaired it twice and I'm about to send it back for the 3rd time. Thinking I should get a refund as Dyson told me perhaps this doesn't suit my needs. I've had 2 other dyson straighteners and neither has done what this one is doing to my hair and my hair hasn't changed, it's still my hair. Show details

Waste of money – After only using the hair straightener for a short time, the battery started to not fully charge and now only lasts approx. 2 mins before going down to 15% and then dead (as per two pics attached). I have short hair and only use hair straightener about twice a week, so the machine had a very light use thus far. Not only this is not acceptable for… Read more

a circa $500 product, the process of sending this for a service to determine fix/replacement (without any TAT of how long I will be without any hair straightener at all during the festive season or any temporary machine/replacement) is painful and honestly, I had better outcomes with my cheaper machine I sadly gave away after getting Dyson. I have been advised I could drive myself to Camberwell to speed things up (seriously, you sell me an expensive product that breaks quickly, and I have to get out of my way to take a day off work and drive half way across the city while heavily pregnant because your customer service can’t do better) and then suggested maybe I get someone else to drive it for me (I have no one else to drive it for me, thanks for amazing advice) as courier will add days to the TAT without the machine. I have many Dyson products and I was generally happy with them but the experience with the Corrale really put me off the entire brand and their customer service. Don’t buy it. Clearly there is a known issue with the batter, given there is so many people complaining about it (I wish I had listened to them) and it’s a slap on the face that Dyson then takes their sweet time to address them for the affected customers.

Keeps my hair straight ALL day – I have short, very fine, wavy hair. The minute it gets a rain drop on it, or the weather is humid - I have curly hair. Particularly my fringe, which curls straight up to the top of my head. I've had a few different good straightners over the years, but none of them kept my hair straight as long as the dyson does. It is definately much gentler… Read more

on my hair than any other straightner I've had, and that alone is a major plus. It's leaving my hair soft and shiny, and over the few months I've had it, I think my hair is certainly in far better condition than it's been for many years. I do use it in conjunction with the Dyson hair dryer, so I imagine that helps.

It is a little heavy, but I have a sore right arm, and arthritis, but I can manage it easily. I leave mine plugged in so I can't speak for battery life.

My issue with Dyson products is only the price. They are hugely expensive. I've had my hair dryer for two or three years, and it's taken me ages to reach the point I could afford the straightner. That being said, I've got the Dyson Vacuum, the hair dryer and the straightner, and can't fault any of their products. I'd save like mad to replace them with the Dyson brand again.

This is beyond PERFECT piece of equipment for any hair type – I have a lot of very fine, very long, very curly FRIZZY hair I own a GHD Max I am sick of the straightening and wanted a soft curl Because the GHD max is so wide, it doesn't curl I bought approx 6 different types of irons and decided to risk the money on Dyson I bought this before their air wrap ( which I returned) At $700 I was nervous but what… Read more

I've discovered is the other products were FALSE ECONOMY I've bought so many items for $100 -$300 that DON'T WORK Now getting something that actually works is wonderful It's light Heats up fast Cordless I could go on forever telling you how much I love this product Of course if you want curls to stay in place, then do what hairdressers do - HAIR SPRAY Otherwise, naturally the weight of your hair will drop the curl My suggestion is if you have really long hair - after doing hair with Dyson CORRALE, roll hair into bun ( no tying hair - just place a hair comb in place ) When you're About to walk into restaurant or venue - remove the comb This is what I did and I got non stop compliments all night In fact, I was repeatedly told I'd lost weight, I looked like a model, what had I done !!! Compliments were really lovely I'd already fallen in love with the Dyson CORRALE but this confirmed my feelings Photos are my hair After washing and allowed dry naturally After combining Then after using Dyson CORRALE This was my FIRST attempt and the photos of the back don't actually show how good it turned out I've spent a fortune on other products- probably 3 times what the CORRALE cost They were false economy You get what you pay for For me - this means I don't have to keep buying $300 products that actually harm my hair My hair actually FEELS better I wish the air wrap had suited my hair as drying using it, my hair felt lovely I'm keen to try a future Dyson hair drying product like air wrap but at the moment I'm THRILLED with this CORRALE If I could Give it MORE than 5 stars PLUS - I would That's how much I love this product Highly VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product I bought via MYER store as they included brush and comb on pay later scheme I'm so happy Back of my hair looked like the front I'm unsure exactly how long it took BUT usually takes over an hour and I know it was half the time because I usually have to do each section 3 or 4 times This was only 2 times So I'm guessing 40 minutes Normal hair Normal length would be a piece of cake I love this product Absolutely LOVE it

Product leader on the market, until it stops working! – The Corrale is a great device and has served us well for about 2 years, adn then it stopped holding charge. It used to hold abour 20-25 minutes of charge, then reduced to 2-3 minutes after 2 years and 3 months of ownership. Fortunately, warranty came in despite being over the 2 year mark, and was given a replacement. The device itself is brilliant, and does straightening exceptionally well without the hassles of a wire attached! Show details

Buy this NOW ladies!! – The straightener heats up as fast as my ghd platinum. It definitely cut down my styling time by more than half as I only need 1-2 pass at best. I used to need 20-30 minutes with ghd and other brands straighteners, with the corrale I only need 5-10 minutes. My hair is the sleekest, shiniest and bounciest I have ever experienced and I managed to… Read more

achieve this at 185°C which I never could using other straighteners. To achieve the same effect, I would need to increase temperature of my other straighteners to above 200°c and with multiple passes which after a period of time using them, my hair snaps and started to get frizzy. My hair didn't pull or tug using corrale which I believe depends on how you use it as I have seen other YouTuber mentioned that it tugged their hair. I love the cordless function and I find it easy to use despite users claiming it being heavy. Only con I feel is the battery life though I didn't need it as my overall styling time has been tremendously cut down. Overall another REALLY REALLY solid product from Dyson.

Great straightener until the battery stopped charging. Now the charging cord only works in certain positions, so straightener is practically useless. Over priced and over rated – For a straighter in this price range I expected top notch products. The battery generally doesn’t last for a whole session. I have shoulder length hair and use it on the lowest heat setting. I do have lots of hair but I would still expect the battery to last longer than it does. Plus side I like the different heat settings.

Overall it’s not worth the price tag, so far I have most of the Dyson hair products over priced and over rated.

Poor warranty – I purchased a Dyson Corrale mid 2021. I love that it has no cords, heats quickly and it does do a good job of straightening my hair. No complaints. But where I remove stars is warranty of 2 years. Mine is failing and throws up an error (6 months out of warranty). For a $799 straightener this should have more than 2 yrs warranty! I texted… Read more

support, and the best they can do is $199 to fix it! I paid $799 and it’s basically a throw away or I pay them to fix it. I mentioned I am not the only one and many more stories.

I own the air wrap and a vacuum, not the only product. But I will be wary of buying any more if they don’t have a warranty of more than 2 years.

Really disappointed in Dyson.

Dyson Hair Straightener: A $700 Paperweight After 30 Uses – **DO NOT BUY** the Dyson hair straightener. After less than 30 uses over 3.5 years, the battery is completely dead. Paying nearly $30 per use for a product that lasts less than two years… Read more

is unacceptable. This is clearly a breach of Australian Consumer Law.

Dyson should replace or repair this faulty product at no cost. To add insult to injury, my wife's 22-year-old GHD still works perfectly. Dyson's customer service representative refused to provide their name and was completely unhelpful.

I've been a loyal Dyson customer, but this experience will be the last.

Dies far too soon – I loved these hair straighteners for the first 2 years, they were quick to heat up and my hair looked great. Dyson Corrale definitely not worth the money – Bulky, pulls hair out, heavy to hold. By end of first year Battery does not last long enough to do whole head and now two and a half years later does not hold charge at all. Not value for money – The corrale has been a reasonably good straightner for me. Being cordless comes in handy. However, it's a little chunky which makes it harder to use for curling. I've had it for just over 3 years and I am now getting a battery error message. It will heat up okay but once I start using it the error comes up and it shuts down. This is very dissapiointing for the price paid. Overall I would say this straightner is not good value for money. Show details

Overpriced product that lasted just 3 years – I enjoyed my Dyson Corrale straightener for 3 years before the battery packed up. The warranty is 2 years. It will cost $199 for the battery replacement which isn't much more than a decent, brand name corded straighter. And I won't have a straightener to use in the meantime. So now I will debate whether to have it repaired or just buy a brand new one. $699 I would expect it to last longer than 3 years. Very disappointed. Show details

Not worth it – The presentation is beautiful, but that’s were it ends. Due to its run time, it is not worth the expense.
