The newer model is more of a purifier

The air throw is lesser than the older hot and cool model even this one is a bit bigger .

Price is high but unfortunately Dyson has a monopoly and couldn’t find anything better . Show details

Loud clicking noise when oscillating!

Clicking noises when oscillating on a $600 fan is wild. The actual operation of the fan is also quite loud and it's not as powerful as you think. Definitely won't do the job in our Australian heat. Very disappointing so I suggest other brands if you're looking to spend that kind of dough. Show details

Does everything youc ould want, starts breaking down after about 2 years

It does everything you could possibly want and does it well. Sure, you can buy multiple different devices for less, but then you'd have multiple different devices to store. This looks neat and tidy and takes up a lot less space. The smart features were a boon as you can turn on the heater before returning home. And the filter helps "clean" the air of smells from the kitchen during winter when all the windows are shut.

On the other hand, it lasts around 2 years (its warranty period), so it averages about 350 bucks a year of service. So while it is a dream to own and use, be prepared that it will cost you. Show details

I didn't pay enough

Keeps me nice and sweet both for summer and winter months. My old house served me natural ventilation but my current property, modern as it is, needs air settled and Dyson is the trick. Occasionally it turns itself off but that might be the wiring. Show reply

A life saver!

We worked in SA during winter, accommodation was a wooden hut. The Dyson ran day and night, saved us from freezing cold.
We then worked in FNQ, the Dyson again saved the day and kept us cool.
It is an incredible asset to us, effective quiet fan, a handy remote control. Show details

Neither cools, nor warms. Unworthy product

Extremely expensive for such low quality product. Extremely noisy, even on the lowest fan level. Doesn't cold enough, neither hot enough. It is just a waste of money. This was my first and last purchase from dyson. Show details

Polluting when straight out of the box

If you are buying an air purifier because you want cleaner air, make sure you leave this outside to offgas for a few days before using. It has a strong plastic and chemical odour (which shows up as pollution on its air quality readings!).
Heating works well and does a reasonable job as an air purifier.
After being on for a while, it makes a high pitched noise which is annoying but easily fixed by turning it off and on again. Show details

Love it!

The Dyson Pure Hot+Cool Link is an impressive all-in-one air purifier, heater, and fan. Its sleek design looks great in any room and its smart capabilities make it easy to control from anywhere using the Dyson Link app. The purifier captures 99.97% of allergens and pollutants, making it a great choice for people with allergies or respiratory issues. The heater is powerful enough to quickly warm up a room, while the fan can provide a nice breeze on hot days. The only downside is that it's a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and features make it well worth the investment. Overall, it's an excellent gift that your daughter clearly put a lot of thought into! Show details

So disappointed

We don’t have a ceiling fan in our bedroom so bought this thinking it would be a good alternative. It isn’t. The room must be too big for the cooling to be effective. Show details

Hot is good, aircon is rubbish

Purchased a $20 fan from K Mart & this Dyson air purifier and I’m confident enough to say the $20 product works a lot better on a summer night than this Dyson product. If you’re looking to cool down in summer, don’t waste your money on this. Show details

Really wanted the HP04 to be great -

Perhaps no other product does everything either, it would have been too good to be true to have this Dyson as a great fan, great air purifier and a great purifying blow air heater in the one machine. It isn’t even great at one of those things unfortunately, it’s not warm enough as a heater yet still chewing 2kw, too loud as a fan and useless as an air purifier for fumes or pollen. I don’t know what it’s like for bushfire smoke as yet, I’d like to think it’d be potentially clearing some air of covid when a stranger comes in the house - fingers crossed! Show details

Didn't last long!

Our Dyson is 16 months old. It just sparked and died! Didn't last long! Hardly been used. Turned it on today, It ran for a few minutes and then a spark came out from the front of the Dyson (through the filters!) and the power in the house went off. Very dangerous product. Bought it from JBHIFI last year - they do not even sell it anymore.

Not worth the money and time

Will never buy Dyson again, constantly had issues with this machine. Have taken it to Dyson so many times and when I get it back a month after there’s always a problem, not worth the money and time.

Impossible to get replacement filters

Fan is ok until the filter needs replacement. Only able to heat small rooms well and doesnt seem to remove much pollutants according to the dyson app.
Sadly, the filters have been unavailable since the machine first required replacement. Purchased directly from
Dyson so disappointed the filters have been sold out ever since. Show details

Hi Everyone, I'm just wondering how does everyone feel about the multiple tasks you can do with your air purifier that also cools and heats ? my main concern is this is supposed to be an Air Purifier but its also heating and cooling, i'm thinking is this machine doing too much, I mean instead of just purifying the air its doing two other things as well, could that be actually taking something away from the purifying function and vice versa ? Its just something that's popped into my thoughts, kind of like to much going on instead of just purifying the air. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this theory ? Because some the reviews are not what I expected for a Dyson product, I have a Dyson Pure Cool Me, which is not what you call a air purifier as such but it is making clicking noises when I have it on rotate and that's some of things I see in the reviews here about this air purifier.

is it actually air con, or just a fan?If air con, how big an area will it cool

It's just a fan, and like other fans - you have to be near it to feel any 'cooling'

Anything Dyson branded is sure to garner interest – it’s like the Apple of the home appliance world. But what do reviews on the Dyson Hot + Cool Link have to say about this it’s overall quality and performance?

The majority of reviewers were happy with the fan’s performance, with around 70% of reviewers awarding it 4 or 5 stars. This is somewhat of a relief to see, considering this Dyson tower fan, at $799, is one of the priciest tower fans on the market.

What reviewers liked about the Dyson Hot + Cool Link:

  • Fan speed heats or cools a small-medium sized room particularly fast.
  • Keeps the air clean, thanks to a built-in air purifier and allergen-removing filtes. Reviewers loved these, as they could sense the difference in air quality.
  • Has plenty of extra features that you actually use, like Wi-Fi and a magnetised remote control.
  • Bladeless design made it a popular favourite in children’s rooms.
  • While expensive, many reviewers felt that the Dyson Hot + Cool Link was worth the money for the performance and features.
