Effective at heating, poor noise and purifying – Product is very loud even in minimum setting. It's purifying performance is mediocre and fan doesn't seem to to know when to speed up or slow down. It's good for heating, it's good smart home integration, but definitely not worth the price. Show details

Faulty product - no accountability – Less than a year the product has started paint has started to wear away on fan. Dyson refused to fix or repair as it was “cosmetic damage” only. This goes against ACCC standards of acceptable quality. Would not purchase another Dyson product as they are cheaply made and don’t follow ACCC standards. Show details

Problematic Hot and cool purifier – From reputable company to becoming a scammer company, had the machine return for replacement, and. I am on the second unit. The first machine faulted on day one. weeks, then decided to buy additional heater for their room, while waiting on Dyson technician to confirm that my new machine is beyond economical repair. Before send out a replacement machine. After received the new replacement machine, work great for 2 weeks and then now started to have connectivity issues. Dyson must have their machines built from TEMU parts. The reason why I m purchased the Dyson heater for my kids room as the old heater that been 20+ years old, thought of buying a reputable brand for my kids, and ended up buying more heater units than necessary. WELL DONE DYSON. From now on I definitely and absolutely stay away from this brand. Premium price tag, with counterfeit quality. What a joke.

Air purifier for the Bedroom? – power not as powerful as a standard fan . night mode: low speed and dims the LED's narrow or wide beam flow but used mostly in narrow beam mode. Noisy at higher speeds therefore most will use the fan at about 5/10 for optimum noiseless operation. I have used the fan for about a year now and have just changed the filter, which is easy to… Read more

do, however, the price of the replacement filter is quite high. I have attached pictures of the filter, the first showing a small part having been cleaned, (with a Dyson), and the second as removed. Overall pleased with the fan but much too expensive.

Do not use in your baby's bedroom!! – We purchased this heater for our sons bedroom so we could set and monitor the temperature while he was sleeping. As new parents we have enough to worry about already, so surely a smart heater would bring us some peace of mind, right? The app lets us set and check the temperature without needing to go into his room and risk waking him up and we… Read more

would rest easy knowing our little man would be comfortable overnight during winter...

The HP03 worked perfectly for about 4 weeks. We would set the heater to 18degrees (fan speed 1) and it did a pretty decent job of keeping the room around that temperature. Until one night when it started heating the room well beyond the 18 degrees we set it at. The app would tell us the temperature was 18' but for some reason it was still 'heating to target'. So we check the temperature on the baby monitor and its 24 degrees. Not ideal when your baby is dressed and blanketed for 18 degrees... We go into our sons room to check it wasn't just the monitor playing up and we get smacked in the face with hot air and the sound of this $600 heater trying to melt our child. A few phone calls were made to Dyson and we followed their troubleshooting (their only other solution was to send it back to them for testing and be left without a heater in our son's room for the 3+ weeks in the middle of winter). For the past week the heater has been working fine for a day or two but then plays up again. We are now constantly checking their app and our monitor and cycling the heater on and off. Living in fear of over heating our son or freezing him to death. That was until last night... Going through our usual routine of putting baby to bed and then a relaxing night of checking and comparing temperatures on the app and monitor, the heater took the room up to 27 degrees (set at 18/fan 1) in a very short amount of time. This was the last straw. We can no longer risk our childs life with this heater in his room. And I highly recommend nobody else does either. We assumed spending more than we could afford on a high end quality heater packed full of features would help us sleep a little easier at night. Instead it has done exactly the opposite. The heater will be returned tomorrow. I don't know if Dyson will try to fix the heater or tell us they found nothing wrong with it in their testing. What I do know for certain is no Dyson heater will be used by myself or my family again.

Superb machine but online experience not great – I have reviewed a couple of Dyson's vaccums as an ambassador for Product Review but this was purchased by me for $599.00 from the Dyson website. Can I first say that this five star review is for the machine and not the woeful service I got from the sales team at Dyson. I purchased direct from the website thinking I would receive it in a few days… Read more

as it was in stock. After a week I hadn't even received a confirmation email for my purchase. I would have thought a company that was so far advanced with their products would be all over their online sales. I rang them and spruked my "Product review ambassador" like a VIP card and it did get things going a bit. Within an hour I had a confirmation email and received the heater in a couple of days.. but it shouldn't take a complaint to get something moving. Anyway.. the heater/air purifier itself is very good. As my wife has been working from home for the past 18 months I wanted to create a good environment for her. She says it's my best purchase. I have Apple Homekit and was amazed to find that it works seamlessly with Siri. I say "Hey Siri it's cold in here" and she turns the unit on at 26 degrees. It also has a very good app which displays the air quality and creates scheduling both with a timer function (I have it turn on at 5:30am in winter) and also an auto setting which can turn the purifier on when it detects poor air quality. The heat it produces isn't going to heat a whole house but it is enough to heat a room or take the chill off a large area. It is an air purifier foremost and it does a really good job at this with the bonus of being a heater and fan. Moving it around the house is easy, as it is fairly mobile and not too heavy. It is stable sitting on the floor as it is bottom heavy and would be hard to knock over. The filter is at 83% after 5 months of daily use (info from the app) so I'm thinking you'd get roughly 18 months from a filter. This is a good machine that I do recommend.

Perfect for every season! – I’ve had this for quite a while now and we all love it! I love how portable it is. I use it for everything! cooling or heating the room enough. With the cooling, please remember that it is not an air conditioner. It’s only a fan. This is why it doesn’t cool the room. In regards to the heating, I’ve been seeing that people are putting the thermostat on 37! That temperature I’m pretty sure would never be attainable. I have a combined opened plan lounge dining and kitchen. I only ever put the thermostat between 19-21 degrees and on speed 1. It takes all the coldness out of the area. At 37, it would cost a fortune to run and not be able to reach that temp. When it’s on a lower temp, it’s more attainable and the unit doesn’t have to work as hard and will heat better. Just like an air conditioner, the thermostat in winter should be lower for better heat. I hope this helps.

Non-existent after sales service – Having purchased an HP03 back in 2019 i was disappointed when it had to go back to Dyson for about 9 weeks in late 2020 for a ‘Motor & Bucket Assembly’ repair as the unit was making a constant loud whirring noise even when off, which is not good when its close to a bed. The unit was fine when it finally came back (after 7 follow up calls from me… Read more

during which they had ‘lost’ the machine), but now after 6 mths the problem has returned. The solution i got from customer service today was that they could try taking another look at it but best option was to turn off the continuous monitoring as this was a known issue. When I suggested that just disabling functionality was not a very satisfactory response given the premium you pay on Dysons for the features, her response was that continuous monitoring wasnt important They have lost me as a customer going forward and I would suggest caution to others….after sales service is non-existent once they have your $$

Loud clicking noise when oscillating! – Clicking noises when oscillating on a $600 fan is wild. The actual operation of the fan is also quite loud and it's not as powerful as you think. Does everything youc ould want, starts breaking down after about 2 years – It does everything you could possibly want and does it well. Sure, you can buy multiple different devices for less, but then you'd have multiple different devices to store. This looks neat and tidy and takes up a lot less space. Polluting when straight out of the box – If you are buying an air purifier because you want cleaner air, make sure you leave this outside to offgas for a few days before using. It has a strong plastic and chemical odour (which shows up as pollution on its air quality readings!). Heating works well and does a reasonable job as an air purifier. After being on for a while, it makes a high pitched noise which is annoying but easily fixed by turning it off and on again. Show details
