you end up waiting long duration to be helped. On our last visit, we ended up leaving the store and ordering the items we wanted online. After purchasing the items online, we were advised that the items will take 4-5 weeks to arrive in their Melbourne store, then another 10 days to be delivered to the Adelaide store. We were happy with this timeline. When the time came for our items to be ready for collection, we contacted the store to confirm if they were ready. Note here that we had to contact Early Settlers and not the other way around. We were informed that our items were delayed by another 4-5 weeks. We found this to be very inconvenient with Early Settlers after sale service lacking in not contacting us to inform us of the additional delays. We requested to cancel our order and to get a refund. The Early Settler person told us that someone will contact us to discuss and arrange the refund. Here Early Settlers have decided to take the easy way out and to not contact us to discuss further, they only refunded us. We will never purchase at Early Settlers again and would not recommend to anyone else with their poor instore service and after sale service.

transport myself. When the handyman they sent to fix it, did so with an interior bracket pack from Bunnings and only fixed one side again I asked for a refund which they explained I had to freight at my own cost to them. The customer service emails go un answered for weeks at a time.
As you can see in the pictures many parts of the outdoor table and bench from early settler Adelaide contain more bog and patches in the teak than un damaged/effected parts. Reclaimed Teak is just a guise to provide terrible quality products.
I CAN NOT EMPHASISE ENOUGH HOW POOR QUALITY THIS ALMOST $3000 OUTDOOR TABLE SET IS.

Disappointing service – This year we have had quite a stressful and disappointing experience with Early Settler. We paid for and ordered a table, bench and dining chairs in late April. We were asked to fix this ourselves and receive a $150 refund, but as it was brand new and didn’t seem to fit, we decided not to do this as it may void any warranty and decrease the quality of the table. Also, when I buy something brand new for thousands of dollars, I don’t expect to repair it. We asked for a replacement part but it would take a few months to arrive so wo decided to make the trip back to the store (over an hour’s drive away) to pick up a replacement part from the display model. I did request that the $150 refund option go to trailer hire and petrol for this extra half a day of effort on our behalf, but the request was ignored. When we arrived home to fix the issue the same thing happened again! The table itself was faulty. We did request the floor model but a new table was offered as replacement for the faulty one. It would only arrive in August. When I contacted Early settler in August regarding the table arrival, they notified me it would only arrive in October. Finally, the table was booked to be delivered in October. My partner took the day off work for the delivery. That day the delivery company told us that they do not service our area on this day of the week, and we would have to rebook on a day that suits them. Finally, after rebooking it ourselves it arrived the week after that. I do love my table but after 5 months of waiting, numerous trips to the city, delays in response, no real apology or compensation, I have to say I will not be a return customer which is unfortunate as I do love their stock.

After contacting Early Settler and explaining the situation to them, the after sale service was absolutely terrible considering what happened. Communication was just awful - kept getting the run around, repeatedly told by senior management staff that they would get back to me and never did, was just not treated very respectfully. Was promised a full cash refund but when the time came, was told that they could only do half and in the form of store credit. Management seemingly couldn't care less about the situation or the customer.

Orchard Oak Kitchen Cabinets - Zero quality!!! – Having spent $9000 on our kitchen cabinets without stain and without the granite bench tops (just timber cabinets) you would think you would get quality, however these are poorly built with cheap hinges, held together with random screws and are so out of shape that they couldn’t be installed. not square and when it came time for the kitchen to be installed the contractor wasn't able to as 3 of them are 20mm out of alignment from top to bottom. We contacted Early Settler and asked for replacements for all the problem cabinets only to be told the waiting time was up to 16 weeks.
I am sure any reasonable person would find not having a kitchen for 16 weeks unacceptable however with no choice we waited for another 10 weeks only to be told they hadn’t even shipped from Vietnam. We had to change our kitchen design to fit the misaligned cabinets so that we could have a kitchen. Not having a kitchen with 2 children 6 and 8 the oldest with Autism was the longest 26 (initial order plus wait time) weeks of our lives, no sink, no running water, no oven, nothing for 26 weeks! I am not sure how they make these cabinets but they certainly do not use a jig to keep them square as each cabinet is completely random in shape.
I asked for a refund of 3 of the cabinets even though more had issues, these 3 they could not argued with given the degree of poor workmanship. Of the $1500 worth of cabinets that we asked for a refund on they refunded $399 back... not in cash but store credit. The dish washer cabinet could not be used at all as none of the cabinets aligned with it. This is currently sitting in our garage unused, another waste of money. We also had to cancel our integrated dish washer and buy a non integrated model that wouldn’t show the misalignment of the cabinets next to it.
On top of all the problems with workmanship the staff also ordered one of the upper cabinets incorrectly. They ordered two with their doors open in the same direction. We have had to switch them around and repair the holes so the doors open in the correct direction. They also put the wrong code in for the smaller cabinet and ordered it with granite and stained unlike the other 10 cabinets we ordered without. They replaced this with a cabinet in stock, this one has a draw that is broken and doesn't open correctly. Finally the second butler sink was incorrectly ordered for the laundry cabinet and did not fit the cabinet. Staff advised my wife the sink would fit, clearly this was incorrect as the installer could not get it in without modification to the cabinet.
In my opinion Early Settlers handling of the situation was unsatisfactory, we should have received a FULL refund for all the cabinets including the unused dishwasher cabinet as none of these items are fit for purpose. As we had no choice given that this was a new kitchen installation we had little choice but to wait however if I had been replacing an existing kitchen I would have cancelled the order and used that kitchen whilst looking elsewhere for a replacement. The cabinets are not worth the 20% off price let alone the full price they offer, they are cheap, poorly built and certainly not of a high standard. I am also disappointed they did not refund in cash, why would I want to spend more money with them given the experience I had. We have still to this day not used the store credit as its hard walking into the store given we have a $9000 kitchen that has caused so much stress.
I would recommend anyone thinking of spending a dollar in store avoid going anywhere near them, given the other experiences on this website with this company around the country it seems they have a large issue with customer service, quality control and admitting when they are clearly at fault and doing the right thing. If they had refunded the $3000 worth of problem cabinets I would be writing a different review.

It was spot on right from the start. later in the week to collect the article, but they didn't bother to tell me where to collect it from, I parked out the front to which I was told that's not the right place and the store man will not be able to help load into car as it as too dangerous. Luckily I had a friend with me and it was not an issue for the store man and my friend to load into car. The store man was very helpful, unlike the ladies inside.
